This is the true ski in/ski out home! Park at the front door and ski out the back. 3 BR, 2 BA (sleeps 8-10)
Have you ever booked a rental that didn’t live up to the description? They claimed to be Ski-In / Ski-Out but when you arrived you could not even see the slope. Well, take one step out the back door of our home and you are standing on Cupp Run, Snowshoe’s signature 1 ½ mile ski run. It is a true ski in/ski out home.
We try to keep it simple. No Surprise Fee’s !! Our rates include all cleaning, parking, snow removal…… fee’s others nail you with when checking in.

Our ski-in/out home is one of less than a dozen on all of Snowshoe Mountain that provides easy access to both the Basin and Western Territory sides of the mountain. We sit on top of the mountain between both basins. Walk one step out the backdoor and you’re on the western territory slopes. An easy 100 yard walk out the front door has you skiing down the easy Blue and Greens on the basin side. LOOK AT A SNOWSHOE MAP BEFORE CHOOSING where to stay. We are amazed at those claiming to be ski-in/out when they are thousands of feet coupled with large flights of stairs from the closet ski slope. WE ARE ONE OF LESS THAN A DOZEN TRUE SKI IN / OUT HOMES ON ALL OF SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN.

The Amenities
• Large mud room at slope level to store all your gear. Clothing racks in the mud room make it easy to change into/out of your gear. No need to haul gear around the house. Ski and Board rack in the mud room provides protective storage for a families worth of gear at one time.
• Large boot, glove and helmet dryer built to serve the whole family. Commercial duty clothes washer and dryer means no need to take turns drying your gear while taking a break from the slopes.
• Hi-end digital weather station provides real time temperature, wind, barometric pressure, wind chill……. So you know how to dress for the day ahead.
• Stay as connected or disconnected as you would like. We have fiber optic web service coupled with a high end WIFI router to provide 100 mbps downloads. Our land line provides nationwide free calling.
• A kitchen with ceramic tile floors, quartz countertops and comes stocked with most cooking utensils and table settings for 12.
• Each bedroom has its own flat screen TV and thermostat to assure individual comfort during your stay.
• After an active day on the mountain, you can relax with a book from the entertainment center, watch a DVD from the DVD library or play a board game with family and friends.

• Sit beside the fireplace and watch the snow cats groom the slopes out the living room windows.
• Sit beside the fireplace and watch family members play on sleds out the living room windows. We keep a couple sleds in the mud room for after ski hour use by our guest.
• It’s a house, not some small cramped condo where you’re forced to endure noisy hallways all night long.
• Park at your front door-No need to find a distant parking spot and haul all your gear across some ice covered mega condo parking lot. You park at the front door.
• A Snowshoe bus stop is located a couple hundred feet from our front door. Busses run every 15-20 minutes and cover all of Snowshoe and Silver Creek resorts.
• For more 15 years we have shared our ski home with guest. Read the reviews. We try hard to make our place the best on the mountain to enjoy a stress free family vacation.
We’ve been into clean way before Covid. Our beds and pillows are stripped to their hypoallergenic covers and cleaned after each stay. This includes the comforters and all bedding. We know we are not the only ones that check into a place and wonder how long its been since the bed spreads and blankets were cleaned. If you read our reviews folks regularly talk about how clean we keep our place.

My husband and I took our son and 4 of his friends (teens) on a ski trip to celebrate my son’s 19th Birthday. The house location was perfect! We were right on the ski slopes. The views were amazing! Plenty of room for 7! The mud room was perfect for all the ski and snowboard gear. The house had everything we needed!!

Quaint little home, nestled right next to two different lifts on each side of the mountain! Only a five minute walk to the Snowshoe Village! This home had everything you needed for our family to have an enjoyable weekend of skiing!

From the first inquiry about this rental to the day we left this house the host was impeccable!! Ski in/out top notch..beds were super comfortable, and the house was clean and just simply perfect for my family. 5 boys along with mom and dad had an amazing vacation!!! I cannot say enough about the easy process and the amazing host with their timely response to my questions!!!!! We will definitely be back…absolutely!!!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience for us and especially our boys!!!!

The location is perfect! Skiing right outside your door, close to everything, home is great very cozy and comfortable great for families! This is our second year here and will be back again.

Amazing Location
The house was very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The downstairs snow room was fantastic. The location was awesome and basically guaranteed first runs on Western Territory. We had great communication with the owner and the check-in process was very easy. I would highly recommend this location to anyone that enjoys skiing/snowboarding.

Amazing Location! Will Stay Here Again!
We really enjoyed our stay in Hutch 8, and will plan next year’s Snowshoe trip around the availability calendar of this house. The location couldn’t be beat! The grownups could jump right on Cupp Runn, and the kids had a short walk to ski school. The Village is a short walk away, and we enjoyed dinner at Appalachia Kitchen, which is right across the street. Our 2 year old greatly enjoyed watching the snow plows groom Cupp Run each evening.

Spectacular location!!
This was our first family trip to Snowshoe. Stunning views. Very pleased with house, location and shuttle service. Bedrooms had more space than pictures were able to depict. House offered many extras such as Keurig coffee maker, hair dryers in both bathrooms, large mud room for storing/drying ski boots, gloves, equipment. Easy access in/out. Jeff was very responsive to questions and made us feel welcomed. Definitely recommend Hutch 8 to others!

Beautiful sunsets, ski in/out on Cupp Run, nice cozy home, and great for family. Bedrooms are bit small, but great kitchen with everything you need makes up for it.

A wonderful stay!
Hutch 8 was great and immaculate! We are a crew of 4 adults and 5 kids (ranging in age from 10-13. We loved the view of the skiers and snow cats and literally being able to pop right out to the slopes. Highly recommend!

Cozy place with great location
The location of this property is as advertised. You are literally sitting on the slope that splits into Upper Shays and Cupp Run. The house has a great mud room - very spacious with cool air tubes to dry out boots. The house is a little snug for 10 people, but we made it work! Owner was great to work with.

Great place to stay on the slopes of snow shoe!
We chose to stay here with a group of our friends and family for a long weekend. We were really pleased with the house and its location. We could ski down Cupp run or get to the greens by a short walk. The owner was extremely responsive, nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Family Ski/Snowboarding Trip
When your 22 year old daughter tells you, "This place is perfect" you know you picked a good one! We loved staying here. It was clean and cozy. The parking was plowed and deck access had been shoveled. Location was perfect. My son said the best run was out our back door. The nightly sunsets were amazing. Deer came up to the lower level where the Mud room is. The Mud room is also great when you have 6 people skiing and/or snowboarding. Communication with owner was a quick response, informative and always wanted to make sure our stay was a good one. I highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed, 5 Stars all the way around!

Cozy Ski Hutch
The owner Jeff was a great host and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The house was neat and clean. The driveway and walks were plowed when it snowed. Very pretty property. The house was stocked with everything one would need while traveling. Short walk to Snowshoe Village. Walk out the backyard door and your on a black diamond slope.

Winter ski trip
We have been coming to snowshoe since 2009. This was our best trip ever and being able to ski out on the western territory or walk across to ski the blues and greens was so convenient. The reviews about Hutch 8 and Jeff were spot on. This place will not disappoint. We will be back!!!

Perfect Ski in Ski out for Cupp Run which is a relatively easy Black run. Short walk across the street for the easier side of the mountain.

Fantastic trip. The accommodations were clean and well stocked. Easy access to the slopes and shuttle stop to anywhere else on the mountain. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be on the mountain and have beautiful views as well.

Snow vacation
The location was excellent. The unit was well appointed. There were some issues with temperature control; some areas were very hot, others a little cold. With fresh snow and ice, the road was a little difficult but the resort staff helped us out immediately. Overall a very good stay.
