My family enjoyed a long weekend, taking advantage of the pond for swimming and boating, the walk to the nearby waterfall, and the fire pit for some evening smores. Major Tom was helpful and, as others noted, brought us fresh eggs and was available if anything came up. We all had a wonderful time. Minor mark down on cleanliness because there were mouse droppings on the pans kept in the lower shelves of the kitchen, as wells as a large pile of droppings--presumably more than a couple days worth--on the second floor balcony that we had to sweep out before our dog got at them. But all together it was a wonderful stay!

The cabin is nestled tucked away. There is another cabin next to you. Our cabin was so lovely. It is right near the pond and there are friendly ducks. Duck food was provided and our girls loved feeding them. We brought our pup, a basset hound, who loved hiking with us and enjoying all the new smells. Liz answered all my questions and Major Tom greeted us when we checked in. He brought us fresh eggs! The rooms were clean and we loved the openness of the living space and kitchen. We enjoyed a movie night when it was raining and our last night we did a camp fire to roast marshmallows. Major Tim brought us dry firewood and started the campfire for us! He was attentive and so helpful. The bathtub was wonderful to use after a long day of white water rafting which we did at a place only 10 minutes drive. We enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to come back in the fall. We all had a fun and relaxing time.

What a beautiful, peaceful, slice of nature! The perfect mix of relaxation and active enjoyment! The cabin was so comfortable and accommodating, the immediate yard was great for fires and kids playing, the pond and trails were fun to explore, and the waterfall was magical! Hosts were responsive and inviting, and Major Tom was so generous with his farm fresh eggs and tips for watching the gorgeous sunset! Really hoping to return regularly!

The cabin is stunning and very well equipped. We had a great time. It was clean and super quiet. We enjoyed exploring the wildlife that surrounded us and hiking in the nearby State Park (and the creek that runs just behind the cabin). Liz and Major Tom were super attentive and welcoming. We'll be happy to come again.

My family of 4 enjoyed our stay. My boys liked ping pong and shuffleboard (no pool table as listed). The pond in our opinion was not swim friendly but the boys did canoe some. We enjoyed camp fires. We liked the walk to the waterfall but the trails are not marked well so a little hard to find but Major Tom gave good instructions that helped. We enjoyed being near the state parks to hike at and did white water raft which was fun. Kitchen had what we needed and doing some laundry was really helpful as this was the second leg of our vacation. Shower was tight and was missing soap so bring your own. Overall a good find and a fun time.

The memories we collected carry much more value then material gifts. From times around the campfire to wild scenes of Nana with her first fish landed only with the assistance of her 4 year old grandson. From feeding the ducks to canoe rides on the pond. What a wonderful vacation.
