Casuarina Point is a unique location with beautiful, crystal clear shallow water. This area boasts some of the prettiest white sand beaches in the world, one of which is at your doorstep. The reef that protects the bay provides for calm waters unlike many oceanfront beaches. With several small uninhabited islands in the area you can always find something to do. There are blue holes, shoals, flats, sand banks and at least three very private beaches for swimming and picnics. If you like fly fishing for the elusive bone fish you need not go any further than right out the front door. Several of our guests have caught them wading less the five hundred feet from the house. The sand banks in the area are a great place for the young and old to discover new things like rays, star fish, shelling and sand dollars which we can guarantee that you will find. There is much to do if you wish to get out and explore.
For your use there are three kayaks and the option to rent our small motorized boat. If you choose this option I will need to add the fee after you book. The thirteen foot Boston Whaler will allow you to venture further and discover even more. Our beachfront home is situated such that the beach is on one side and the canal access is on the other therefore you will be able to use the boat regardless of tides. Our home is the only beach house in Casuarina Point that has no restriction due to tides.
Should you decide on having us arrange deep sea, bonefish or snorkeling charters the captains can pick you up at your doorstep. Once again the only beachfront in Casuarina where this can be done.
Our home is elevated for good breezes and provides spectacular views of the blues and greens of the bay during the day and millions of stars at night. Watching the moon or sunrise over the bay can be an exhilarating experience. Beach chairs are provided along with lounge chairs for the sun deck. On the covered porch we have an outdoor dining table with seating, Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs and a stainless steel Kitchenaid grill. There is a Tiki Hut on the beach with beach chairs that provide you some shade on the beach and a nice place to have lunch.
Key Lime Beach House is very well outfitted as listed below with ample space and very comfortable furnishings as you will see by the photos and items listed. Wireless internet and cable throughout, local and internet phone provided.
3 ensuite bedrooms, all with spectacular beach views, top quality furnishings, linens and towels. 1 king bed with double shower & walk-in closet with entrance to covered deck. 1 queen bed with shower and large closet and entrance to covered deck. 1 queen bed with tub/shower & closet. All bedrooms have flat screen TV’s and excellent views of the beach, bay, ocean and surrounding islands. For those who may like to sleep late the bedrooms have blackout curtains for the areas where sunlight may be an issue.
The living area has leather sofa, love seat and chair with ottoman. A 52” Flat Screen Smart TV, DVD player, IPod doc and surround sound. Games, Movies, Music provided, Books and Cookbooks.
Inside dining table has seating for eight. Breakfast bar seating for three, porch dining seating for six.
Kitchen and breakfast bar have beautiful granite countertops, full size refrigerator with icemaker, gas range, microwave, dishwasher, hand mixer, blender, Cuisine grind & brew coffee maker, can opener, toaster, fondue pot, food processor, flatware service for 12, cooking utensils, cutlery, bake ware, dishes-service for 12, beach coolers, glass and insulated tumblers, barware, cookware and a large variety of spices.
Our beachfront vacation home is a great place for family get togethers, fly fishing, bone fishing, deep sea fishing, kayaking, shelling, picnicking, boating, diving, snorkeling, swimming, beach combing, shelling, barbequing, exploring or simply relaxing. Guaranteed not to hear sirens or auto traffic.

Amazing home with gorgeous views! If you are looking for a home to unplug, relax, enjoy family, fish, snorkel, or just sit in the water and relax, this is the perfect home! We kayaked, fished, snorkeled, read books, ate great local food and some of the snapper my son caught! We saw turtles, tons of starfish, stingrays, and many, many fish! Donna was so helpful if we had any questions and the house has everything you would need! You must rent the boat that comes with the house, it’s a must to explore!

This was the most relaxing vacation, EVER! The Key Lime house is perfect, private, well stocked, and beautiful! The end of the road privacy was a bonus, and we felt like we had the beach to ourselves. The paddle board and three kayaks were an additional bonus!
Donna's communication was over the top! She gave us so much excellent information and responded immediately to any questions. I highly recommend this property!
Thank you, Donna, for sharing your beautiful home!

The house was great but we were unlucky to experience unusually persistent high winds from north east which prevented us from maximising on lovely location and facilities.

We just spent a fantastic week in the Key Lime house.
Donna and James are wonderful hosts, always available to answer any question you might have or to give any suggestion. We enjoyed a lot the kayaks and the boat. Thanks to those we have been able to visit the many beautiful beaches that are around in the vicinity.
The house offers all the comforts you need, a well furnished kitchen, lots of bathroom and beach towels and a great selection of games and puzzles.
Thanks Donna and James for making our stay even more memorable. Can’t wait to book another vacation at your beach house!

If your looking for a place to get away from the rest, this is it! Beautiful home, beautiful water, beautiful beaches, and beautiful weather. The privacy and seclusion of this property makes it heaven on earth. Plenty of beaches and water to snorkel and explore, plus kayaking, boating, and fishing are available to your hearts content! There are great opportunities to enjoy yummy local cuisine or take a quick drive to March Harbour for delicious restaurants. You won’t regret staying at this island retreat!

This location is perfect for people that just want to relax. I don’t think we ever saw more than 5 people on the entire beach. Donna was very friendly and always responsive to any questions I had.

My brother and son joined me for a fishing trip at this wonderful spot on it’s own beach. The flats in front of the house are ideal and we saw lots of bonefish but they were nervous. The house was very comfortable with gorgeous sunrises. We’ll be back next year to build on the experience we had this year. We know every rock, stick and mangrove shoot and cast at most of them!

The unit was beautiful. The location was fantastic. The only issues we had were that the screens on the lanais were being replaced which was very loud and the pool was not open yet due to Ian. Those things were beyond anyone’s control though. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

This is one of the most amazing locations for a home that I can imagine. We were there starting the day after Christmas, and there was almost no one on the gorgeous beach. The water is perfectly clear and shallow. We loved kayaking through the mangroves, which are to the side of the house, and seeing all the sea turtles. The boat was fun, as well. The house is everything you would need. Just make sure to bring bug spray because when the wind dies down, the bugs come out - and if you are renting a car, be ready for a million potholes! The shells on the beach are also amazing, and communication with our host was flawless. I would love to go back anytime and can't recommend highly enough!

Pictures don't do the house and location justice. House is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Access to the beach and the canal with the boat just a few steps away is amazing. The shallow waters for small children was perfect for our group.

Donna was such a wonderful host. Took the time to come over and answer any questions we had. We enjoyed the boat very much and enjoyed going to Point of Spit and Cherokee. Don’t forget to bring cash to buy some homemade goodies at Cherokee. Everything exceeded our expectations. I HIGHLY recommended JR’s Bonefish. He took us snorkeling and pulled right up on the beach to pick us up. He kindly invited my husband to bird hunt with him the next day. Then to finish it off we booked a bonefish trip with him. How amazing. We will be back. Everyone on the island was kind and welcoming. We used barefoot rentals and they gladly gave us a ride to the airport.

Amazing family vacation
Our family of 5 had the best vacation at key lime beach house! We couldn’t have asked for a better house or a better location. Definitely rent the boat for the week as it’s a way to adventure and see new beaches and islands everyday. If you like a crowded resort feel this isn’t the island for you but if you want a relaxing paradise it’s perfect. Little bay was amazing, had it all to ourself all 3 times we went there. Spit island is great too and the little settlement of Cherokee sound was so neat at the end of the longest pier in abaco. Definitely recommend the little grocery store on Cherokee sound and the ice cream that a man and his wife sell right out of their house! We had the best time and would go back to key lime beach house in a heart beat if we get the chance! Donna was amazing and so helpful too:).

Amazing time
Truly a gem of a location. Lots of things to keep you busy and entertained if you love the sea and are up for finding your own fun. The house is wonderful. So clean and great lay out. Check in and communication was excellent making our stay great. Overall things in abacos are spread out in terms of dining but happy to stay home fire up the grill with some fresh fish and venture just once for some good people watching at Pete’s pub. Can’t wait to go back again.

Best vacation ever per our family vote
This was a perfect place for our family vacation. We could not be more happy with the accommodations. Our four kids loved exploring the bay, islands and canals in the boat, kayaks and paddle boards. For those who just want to lounge on the beach, it is perfect. We were there for a week and only saw a few people on the beach during our stay. We went out to dinner to Pete's Pub the first night and found the distance not worth the trip. We then planned all our meals in and it worked out great. We went on 2 excursions (fishing and snorkeling). Both were fantastic. We ate the fish we caught for a couple meals. The snorkeling was awesome. We went to various blue holes and reefs and saw tons of wildlife. If you have any doubts, don't. Just book it and enjoy. I am sure you will be pleased.

Very comfortable house with very private beach steps from the house!
Our family had an awesome vacation at the Key Lime House! We really enjoyed using the boat for fishing and just exploring the sound. Use of the kayaks and paddle board were very nice, and easy to get them to the water, due to the close proximity of the house. This would be a great place for younger children as the water is very calm and shallow. The colors of the water were beautiful, they change with the angle of the sun and changing tides, and are crystal clear. The house is located about 25 minutes from Marsh Harbour, where you will find the very well stocked grocery store (Maxwell’s). We tried to take a day trip over to Elbow Cay, but had no luck finding somewhere to park, so we missed the ferry! Arrive earlier than you would like if you need to
park, it may take a while. Or talk to a taxi driver to arrange something. The house is located in a very quiet peaceful neighborhood, you do have to drive a bit for restaurants. We ended up cooking at the house most nights, as it was a very nice kitchen. All in all, we had a fun vacation and I would recommend this property.

awesome place, perfect for any family
we had such a great time here, very quiet place and the owners are very helpful. Donna was great. you will want to rent a car so you can get into town as its a about 30 miles away but Cherokee Sound is a short boat ride away. Most days we literally had the entire beach to ourselves. thanks so much!

Great location!
We stayed in the Key Lime House for 7 days. The house and location were perfect for a couple’s getaway. After arriving at the airport, we rented a car, stocked up on cold food items at Maxwell's (packed dry goods and snacks), Jimmy's for the liquor and Island Bakery for bread and sweets. We cooked most nights and found the kitchen met our needs with cookware and utensils. Jamie was a very gracious host and appreciated the information he gave us. He even brought us a generator when the island experienced an abnormal power outage on our second day. It was back on by happy hour! The boat helped catch Lane Snapper at the Blue Hole and produced a lobster by diving around the rim. The kayaks and paddleboard provided lots of entertainment. You will see the sunrise from the balcony. To see the sunset, go down the beach and around the corner. Low tide was great to pick up sand dollars and other shells. Look for the large starfish! Spectacular! The neighborhood is a nice mix of locals and renters. Find Charles, the local fisherman, on the canal behind the house. He shared some great advice and interesting stories. Suggest going to Pete's Pub for lunch or dinner. We will definitely be going back to this location and hope to make more memories in Abaco.

Wonderful!
The house is so well situated, right on a beautiful, shallow beach. Great for shelling and walks, kayaking, etc. solid house, so well built, and everyone had their own space and bath so it was luxurious for all. The owners were very responsive to our questions and needs. Definitely recommend for a quiet, relaxing time.

Beautiful house in a beautiful spot!
This was a wonderful house and location for our family vacation. Three bedrooms with their own bathrooms and a HUGE kitchen/common space with everything you need. Kayaks, paddle boards and little motor boat were all on site and great to use to explore the cove around Casurina Point. Highly recommend it. It's a 16 mile drive from the airport and main town, but super easy to navigate to the grocery stores, etc. Owners sent very helpful maps, directions, and suggestions.

Paradise in the Bahamas
The Key Lime House was absolutely amazing. The house itself is immaculately clean and comfortable. We really appreciated that every bedroom had its own bathroom.
The location couldn’t be better. My husband and son took the boat out fishing or bone fished in the immediate area while my other son and daughter kayaked and paddle boarded. We had the whole beach to ourselves!
We did a day trip with Donnie, which was the high point of our trip. He took us snorkeling, to see the pigs, rays and turtles. Highly recommend.
Food is a little pricey but we had expected that.
The owners were quick to reply to any questions we had and supplied a very complete guide with maps, trip suggestions and information.
We stayed 8 nights and it was not long enough. We would definitely recommend this rental without hesitation.

Put this one on your Bucket List for Couples/Friends or Family Vacation
We were a group of 3 couples that travel together once a year. We have been to beautiful countries and locations. We loved this beautiful home and all its amenities. It was located on a great beachfront just steps from the front of the home. The views were so awesome from the front porch or the Palapa on the beach. We spend hours beach combing and found some wonderful treasures. Sand dollars and Sea Biscuits and many more. We had to leave several because the were home to the local hermit crabs.
We loved having the boat ( which was conveniently located right next to the house) to get around the bay and the channel. We took it out to snorkel and fish.
The owners are very helpful and have great suggestions and recommendations for just about anything. We rented a car and went to Treasure Cay Beach, to Sandy Point, to search for sea glass, and to eat at Petes Pub and Gallery,,,,twice. The best food there...highly recommend. We took recommendations from the owners for fishing guides and for a charter boat and guide to snorkel and see the stingrays, turtles and sharks around Green Turtle Cay.
But we spent a lot of time just relaxing at our beach and fellowshipping with our friends.

Ideal location and great hospitality from Donna and Jamie. Location is ideal with easy access to fishing, boating, and swimming. House is resort-like. Will definitely return for another vacation.

Great house and great location
Our family of 6 rented this house for a week. What a perfect choice, the owners are more than helpful and the house is perfect. The views form the house are amazing, the beach is a few steps away you get to use the boat, the paddle boards and the kayak. The place is quiet since you are away from the town, but it is still easily accessible. The owners are ready to help at any time. When we first arrived we had forgotten to purchase the mixers for our drinks, a few minutes later they had brought us some. Would highly recommend for a quiet getaway. Will be back for sure.

Can't wait to go back!
My wife and I stayed at the Key Lime Beach House for our 10th anniversary in August 2017. We had done the "resort thing" at various places around the Caribbean and wanted a different experience. The two houses are nestled in Little Harbor Bay and definitely provided the peace and quiet we were looking for. The house is gorgeous and comfortable. Here are a few tips we learned after our first trip to Abaco:
- If you're looking to visit many of the bars/restaurants in Abaco, be sure to do some research as many of these places are closed during the off-season. We didn't realize this prior to booking so we were a little disappointed that we missed out. You can still take the ferry to Hope Town and Guana Cay as many places on those islands are still open.
- Definitely take the ferry to explore the other areas of Abaco. Each Cay has its own vibe and different things to see and do. I highly recommend doing some exploring.
- Bring as much of your own food as you can. Prepackaged foods (cereal, crackers, etc.) are pretty expensive (roughly double). If these things are important to you, then try to bring your own items
- Be cognizant of your flight arrival time. Our flight was delayed and we almost didn't make it to the store when we arrived. Many places close around 7-8pm including liquor stores.
- Car rental is a pain and expensive. We rented a car from from the rental car company in the airport and it was $85/day for a car that was, shall we say, not so nice. The tire got a flat and I had to take it back to get a new one. In other words, don't expect to be able to rent a "nice" car. I can't speak for the other car rental places on the island, but I don't imagine they'd be much better.
- Be sure to bring a bottle of bug spray with DEET. They have small, mosquito-like insects that will bite and cause some discomfort. Not a big deal if you have bug spray though.
- Don't be afraid to ask the locals for directions. The Bahamian people are very friendly and tolerant of visitors. I made the mistake of forgetting the map that Donna had emailed me prior to our arrival, and no one really carries maps anymore.
- The house has wifi, but your phone will not work outside of that. If you have a domestic phone carrier, don't expect to have internet on your phone outside of the house.
