About this house rental
This property is a private mountain home in downtown Winter Park a few blocks walking distance to town. Just a few blocks from summer festivities in the park. 1 block from the ski shuttle route in the winter with a 5-10 minute ride to the slopes. The house backs onto a large open meadow with great views of the mountain trees and sky, which gives privacy and a feel of the mountains right in the middle of town. Easy to find with only 2 turns from the main street of Winter Park.
There are two living areas. The great room in the front includes the kitchen and the living room with TV above fireplace. A big, comfortable sectional couch sits in front of a Gas fireplace and flat screen TV with incredible picture
The kitchen has all appliances (including a dishwasher), and is stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware, coffee maker, a crock pot, a panini maker, a waffle maker, an electric griddle, and more. There is a large kitchen table that can seat 8-10 (and extra folding table and chairs as needed).
The den is located in the back and has a second TV, a double futon couch and great views of the backyard and meadow. A cabinet with games, puzzles and various novels for additional entertainment are provided. A ping pong table is in the garage.
There is free WIFI throughout the house - great signal for working from home.
There are 3 bedrooms. Upstairs is bedroom #1 with a king size bed (sleeps 2) and bedroom #2 with 3 sets of twin bunk beds (sleeps 6). Downstairs is bedroom #3 with a full bed and a set of twin bunk beds (sleeps 4). The futon in the den also folds out to a double (sleeps 2), and some fold-out chairs for little ones.
There are 2 full bathrooms - 1 downstairs with a jet tub and one upstairs with a shower
Linens and towels are provided, with extras in the linen closet if needed along with extra blankets and comforters. There is a washer/dryer in the house.
The backyard has a private outdoor hot tub with great jets and starry night views. There is a new outdoor sauna perfect after a long day on the slopes (or while everyone else is skiing). There is a gas BBQ with grilling utensils. Lawn furniture and picnic tables in the summer. A large grassy front yard as well with Aspen trees. Covered patios in the front and back. Great front porch swing for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evenings.
There is an attached 2 car garage (only 1 space available for parking). 220 outlet available for EVs! Automatic snow removal when there is 4 or more inches of snow. There are 4 additional parking spaces in the large driveway.
Many outdoor mountain activities nearby, including hiking, fishing, skiing/snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, rafting, and many, many more. There is a big grocery store less than 10 minutes drive.
Hideaway Park is 4-5 blocks away, and is the site of many summer festivals (jazz festival, beer festival), free Thursday night concerts in the summer, a sledding hill with many sleds that is great for the kids in the winter, a great playground, and a large skatepark. Cooper Square is just around the corner with many shops, restaurants, a brewery, ski rental, free Friday night concerns, and sometimes free horsedrawn carriage/sleigh rides for the kids.
This is a great property for groups of friends and for families with kids, as the layout provides a nice separation of 'upstairs/downstairs' and the back living area is perfect for kids or as a separate recreation room area or playing cards.
Baby/toddler amenities available upon request including a pack-and-play, portable high chair, and access to toys/books. Please ask owners about these so we can leave you access if needed. Just out the backyard is a little trail to a wooded hill with a tree house for exploring.
Hiking, bike trails, rivers, parks, trailheads and the Winter Park ski area all within 5-10 minutes drive. 35 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Lake. 90 minutes to Denver.

We had a great summer weekend at this property. The location and feel of the home was excellent.

House is nice and in a great locale. Owner is communicative in regard to responding to any issues that may arise. However, some of the expectations were not met, as the ping pong / foos ball table advertised are not operable or accessible ( piled under stuff in garage). One bedroom door is not able to be opened from the room side as it is missing a doorknob. The downstairs bathroom door is misaligned and does not open / close without extra effort and scraping the bathroom floor.
One suggestion - assemble a binder with all house instructions/info for guests so that it is all in one place and easy to follow. Instructions spread out in several different locations and hard to access and read, including info about the house that was not posted where it was said to be.
We did enjoy our time. Just offering suggestions for future guests.

Top notch - everything needed was provided. The hot tub was hot, the sauna and grill worked and there were plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates and glasses. The only thing lacking was some good oven mitts. The silicone grip worked fine but we couldn't locate a second mitt. Shuttle to Winter Park was a short walk and ran on time. Enjoyed our stay and looking forward to a return stay.

Great House with plenty of room for everyone. Walkable location to shops, bars, breweries, and restaurants. Hot tub and Sauna were great. 2 miles to ski resort. Would recommend.

We booked this place since we'd had two families with 10 ppl total. Ski resort places at Winter Park are very expensive and would have taken at least 3 rentals units. The house accommodated us all-- adults, grandparents and teen kids. One of our families used a rental car and the other used the nearby bus stop to go back-forth to the ski resort, which was about a 5 minute commute. Hideaway park nearby is a fun place to sled/tube [for free] too. It's very close to make a local grocery run at Safeway in Fraser to stock up on food items.
The house has a well stocked kitchen for cooking items such as pots, pans, utensils, plates/cups, and so much more! There were more than enough beds; grandparents took downstairs as up the stairs was a little steep for them. Two bathrooms are roomy for multiple people to share including a newly remodeled upstairs bathroom. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens, towels and blankets.
It was so nice after a day of skiing to come back to a warm house, with a gas fireplace and meet up to have dinner together. We relaxed in the large dining and living room areas and even enjoyed a few nights in the hot tub too. And it was so easy to launder our clothes there so we came home with all clean clothes!

Beautiful home. Great amenities, comfortable beds, nice hot showers. Sauna and hot tub were a bonus! Our extended family really enjoyed the home. Winter Park Ski resort just a shuttle ride away. We’ll be back!

We ended up losing the key somewhere. A little disappointed that there was no spare or keyless entry. We had trouble even getting into the place when we did have the key upon checkin. Place not totally clean as we found clothing in different areas of the house not belonging to us. Other than those things we had accommodations for everyone in the party.

Everyone in our group had a blast and enjoyed their stay very much! The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and plenty of seasonings. All the adults enjoyed the hot tub, especially after spending time at the resort. Overall we had a great time and would definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable house. We found the house to be cozy and conveniently set up. The private hot tub was great! The location of the property was close to everything we needed. We will keep this location in mind for future ski trips.

Property was clean, very functional for our stay. Kitchen was well furnished and had an open floor plan that allowed plenty of room for meal prep by all. Gas fireplace made everything warm and toasty. Gas grill worked well as we had sliders one night. Hot tub was a welcome relaxation after skiing. We took a beautiful snow trail hike behind the property toward the train track.
Location was very convenient to Winter Park and Fraser restaurants. WP Ski shuttle was close by although we drove to the Mary Jane parking (our favorite) at the bottom of Super Gauge.
Washer/dryer combo was handy for laundry catch up. The mudroom area with shelves/hooks in the back living area was great for dropping/storing the ski gear. Boot and Glove warmer in this area was useful to dry gear out for the next day.
Owners communicated clearly and in a timely fashion.
We had a very enjoyable stay at this property and would stay here again when we have occasion to do so.

Our family, along with some great friends, had the best week in Winter Park at this cabin and made the best memories taking our kids skiing for the first time. The house was perfect for our group of seven as the kids loved the bunk beds and back/sun room and everyone enjoyed the hot tub after our long days on the slopes. Location relative to town is a huge bonus as well.

We liked the property and location. There are plenty of beds for lots of people. We did not use the hot tub and the sauna was not usable at the time. We spent most of our time skiing and playing games with the family, so those were not big issues for us.

It was the perfect facility for our family of 8 adults. The house was perfect for us, in a quite neighborhood 3.5 miles from the main entrance to Winter Park ski resort with all the amenities you could want.

This property was everything we were looking for. They had everything you could need, even down to a pack and play in case you forgot yours. There was plenty of room for our whole family. The hot tub was a great feature and we were very close to downtown.
The owners were quick to communicate and very helpful. I would definitely recommend to this stay!

Brought my older parents, my sister and son for the weekend. The house location is SUPURB! Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the ski shuttle. It's near other homes but backyard is private and quiet.
We LOVED the Ping-Pong table amenity.

I gave my parents the primary bedroom (took one for the team and bunked in the bunk room). My folks did have a harder time with the steep stairs up to Primary bedroom, but otherwise found the space well-appointed, plenty roomy and comfortable. Even the Twin bed was comfy.

Great place to stay!
We had a wonderful time here. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions we had. There were lots of toys for kids and games to play. We loved playing ping pong. The property was really close to downtown, which was very convenient. The hot tub was nice and the back yard felt very private and quiet. We would stay here again!

Wonderful cabin located in the mountains!
We enjoyed ourselves in this cabin! Clean and comfortable with the ammenties you need. Check in was simple and clear instructions on what to do before checking out was on the fridgr.
There's a little trail at the back leading to a railroad which we thoroughly enjoyed walking along with tree markings so you don't get lost.
As a group of dudes, the ping pong table and jacuzzi we're the highlights of the place!
Idaho springs and Lake Grandby are only located 40 minutes away from the cabin. There's so many resturants and hangout spots in winterpark and only about 10 min walk away.
Would definitely rent here again!

Pleasant stay
Our family had a great time ! Property has neighbors on both sides there is a shared meadow. Very quiet neighborhood and The backyard and hot tub were nice. We failed at getting the sauna to turn on it was a little disappointing but we survived . The younger kids played a lot of ping pong they had a lot of. Overall we would go back!

Excellent location
While the photos make the rooms look larger than they are, the house was comfortable for our group of 6. We did not have any kids with us, but this house is set up well for kids, with a lot of bunk beds, toys and kid paraphernalia. The house is an easy walk to the Miller's Inn stop on the shuttle service (even in ski boots), and within walking distance to the stop at the corner of Vasquez and Hwy 40 (Main St), where there is also a shopping center with restaurants, etc. It is just a short drive to the Winter Park Resort (around 5 minutes). The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. The hot tub was clean.

The space was great, quiet neighborhood, very convenient to skiing. Loved the hot tub and sauna. Especially appreciated being able to park in the garage since it was snowing while we were there. Also thankful we didn’t need to bring any consumable household items (plenty of trash bags, soaps, linens, coffee, even spices). Owner was responsive and accommodating.

Great Location!
We enjoyed our recent stay! The home was fully stocked for families with young children and the kids loved all the toys. The home was incredibly close to town and we enjoyed our walks to the park & brewery. Would definitely stay here again!

It was alright , There was a few things that could of been better .
The bottom bathroom tub was not working and the light in the Sauna did not work either. The stairs was very steep and I did not care for there not being TV's in the bedrooms either. It did have alot of space .And I suggest creating a book with everything and instructions instead of notes all all the house. Last thing , I don't appreciate check out times like a hotel if I am staying at a B and B , if I wanted to be rushed out I would of stayed at a hotel.

This property is in the perfect location. Super close to everything but you still feel secluded and not in the middle of everything. Plenty of space in the house. The hot tub was perfect with the fall weather. There are some neat little trails behind the property. We saw a few animals in the backyard as well. The kids enjoyed the games and the tables in the garage. We would definitely book again.

Perfect 2020 Winter Park Escape
My family (wife and 3 girls) had a blast staying at the house. The owners were super communicative and helpful, and we really appreciated them sharing their home with us. It was a perfect set up for our family, and until we get our own place in WP we’ll try to stay there again!

Great location and flexible hosts
Our stay was booked during the pandemic. The hosts were willing to work with us, although no changes were needed. They were available for any questions before and during our stay. The house was good for 3 families. The backyard was spacious, providing ample room to play. The location was nice. There was plenty of items stocked in the pantry and lots of kitchen equipment. Our main complaint was the cleanliness of the house. Also, the wifi was different than the instructions printed on the fridge.

Dated house but hot tub and proximity to town make up for it
Our three night stay at the property was fun. The hot tub and sauna are wonderful and are the main amenities that attracted us to this property. The home is easy to find and walking distance from downtown Winter Park off of 40. It's in a great little neighborhood.
The reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that it seemed a little dated. The upstairs bathroom shower is odd with pink mildew in the mini blinds that are in the shower. The stairs going up to the loft and master bedroom is steep (and almost too narrow to bring a roller suitcase up). We were very cautious about letting the kids go up/down them too fast. We thought it was way too tight to fit 12 people in....maybe max of 9.
I agree it is good for families with the separate living room and the bunk beds. Again, location and hot tub/sauna were the main winning points for this property.

Our stay in Winter Park was awesome! We loved the property- it had everything we were looking for... instructions were clear and everything was in great condition. We would definitely stay here again!
