You will feel right at home in this hilltop property with lake views. Large covered decks are perfect for enjoying the hill country view and feeding the deer (Deer corn provided). There is also a large outdoor table that can seat up to 12 people on the giant deck. Two master bedrooms and 2 living areas make this home ideal for multiple families. There is a king, two queens, two sets of bunk beds, and a futon(for kids) provided. We love to cook when we are there so this unusually well equipped kitchen has everything you would need, even spices! Two living areas allow for both quiet conversation and T.V watching.
This lakefront property is ideal for families with children. Besides having 4 acres to explore, the lake entry is gradual and has a large shallow area for play unlike a lot of lakefront properties that have deep water at the lakefront.

Nice, new Brookshire Brothers grocery store nearby that even has patio with live music on the weekends and local craft beer on tap. Order your groceries on line and pick them up on your way in! Last pick up around 7?

The stay was great. The house was stocked with everything you need to make the stay welcoming and pleasent. The host was great, and we had no issues at all, she let us checkin a little early and the check out was a breeze.
The lake was low as expected and was not able to enjoy from property but canyon lake has plenty of other places to goto not far from the house. The Guadalupe river was very refreshing!
I would definitely stay at this location again in the future. Thanks Daniele.

The grandchldren, especially, loved all the great outdoor space. My grandson thinks it's the best place he ever stayed. The house had lots of space for the entire family.

Overall stay was good. The lake was 17 feet below average due to drought, so we were unable to enjoy from property. House is cute and described well in listing. Deer in abundance

This was our 2nd great visit to this property and we loved every minute of it. Our family loves the peacefulness of the surroundings and comfortable accommodations. I can't say enough about the ease of unloading and loading with the ramps in the front of the house, not only for arrival and departure, but grocery trips as well (we love to cook!). It was a little disappointing that the lake level was so low (nearly 10ft. lower than last year!) We weren't successful at all with fishing off the bank this year as we were last year. But we can only pray for more rain. We also didn't see as many deer as we did last year until the last day of our stay and there were quite a few that evening. Checked out a few more parks and ate out once...Gennaro's Trattoria is a must! Thanks Daniele for sharing your home with us.

The cabin was great! great deck and location. Daniele was very prompt, courteous and helpful.

Perfect spot to get away. Plenty of room for the whole family and friends.
Water access was a bonus as we brought floats and kayaks and enjoyed the water right at the house. Close enough to all the restaurants and activities but felt like we were on our own little piece of the lake when we wanted to stay at the house. Will stay here again!!

The home is very comfortable and easy to find. Very close to boat ramps and a dock. We stayed with kids ranging in age from 3-18 and everyone had a blast. There is plenty of room to play on the property and easy access to the water. The owner has a couple of paddle boards and a one-man kayak. The huge patio was really nice. Basically a great getaway and highly recomended!

We enjoyed our family/friends vacation and the beautiful views.

House was very roomy and can accommodate a large group. The owner does expect you to clean due to not charging a cleaning fee. This may not be the most ideal situation for groups with small children. The house has a lot of the owners personal belongings that require a little working around but nothing crazy.
The lake access was perfect for small children though. The beach area is the perfect place to set up a canopy and relax while watching the kids play. The water stays pretty shallow for a while so plenty of room for the little ones. It is a long walk to the water so driving down is the way to go.
Overall the house was a good value.

Our family enjoyed our stay. The house was on the lake and allowed easy access to the water. Rooms were nice and the extra attention to the decor was fantastic.
We appreciate the time and effort that was put in by the host to make their house special.
Thank you, we hope to see you again!

Wow, Awesome, and Amazing!!! Our family had a super wonderful vacation on the lake at this beautiful property. Plenty of room for all to spread out and enjoy the lakefront views from almost every room. Unloading and loading were so easy from the ramps available at the front of the home. The beds were super comfortable as well as both living room area couches and I fell in love with the electric recliner! The kitchen has everything you need for cooking from pots, mixing bowls, and utensils.
We loved walking down to the lake for swimming or fishing every day. We caught enough bluegill brim for a fish fry and they were delicious! We also rented a boat at Canyon Lake Marina and enjoyed boating, fishing, and swimming all around the lake.
Communication with Daniele was so easy and she answered my questions immediately. We are so appreciative for her sharing her beautiful home with us and will always remember this Canyon Lake vacation!!

This was a cute and comfortably large home right in canyon lake! Plenty of room and hang out spots, wonderful “beach-like” access to the lake. We didn’t even rent a boat, just used floats and hung out in the beautiful lake! The host was very accommodating, friendly and answered any questions very quickly! Thanks for a lovely 3rd annual friends trip!

A perfect location on the lake, in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of acreage to spread out. We had a great stay, the house has a unique Texas lake charm to it. Lots of decor that shows the owner spends time here, not just a rental. A very well equipped kitchen, albeit small. No wifi but perfectly good cell coverage, you don't go the lake to play on the laptop inside. Our group never needed it (or the TV for that matter).

We love the views from the house and my husband was thrilled about being able to fish right from the back of the house and all the deer were a beautiful bonus!

Extremely unique house in a perfect location on Canyon Lake. All the things you need to enjoy a holiday are there. Daniele was easy to get hold of and a great host. Boat ramp is just down the street, plenty of parking on the premises.
Access to the water is an easy stroll down the hill, not steep at all.
Fishing from the bank is good, water was a bit cold to swim when we were there, but the kids did anyway. Lots of deer come in and out of the property and the sunsets from the lake shore or deck are fantastic.
The area has restaurants near by to go eat. Recommend Italian Garden. We also took a short drive into Gruene to listen to music at the iconic Gruene Hall, eat at the famous Gristmill, and do some shopping.
All in all we had a great vacation in central Texas.

The drive to the location is beautiful and very scenic. The house is clean, beautiful and spacious! The walk headed to the lake is beautiful. The lake is beautiful and kid friendly. Starts shallow and deepens. The house had everything necessary. The master bedroom was out of this world! It was beautiful! The house was equipped with board games, a lot of decorations from the past and very unique pieces. The porch area was excellent. Deer everywhere and very peaceful. TV in master room and one of the living room areas were updated. Photos have older version TV's but they are not. Would definitely want to stay there again!

We absolutely loved staying at this property. The house was large enough to house our family. The back deck has amazing view of the land and lake. We enjoyed feeding the deer every morning and evening. One almost ate out of my daughters hand. The access to the lake was great!! That’s where we spent most of our time. Daniele was amazing. She was in constant contact with us. We will definitely stay here again but for a longer period of time.

We enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable. My mother in law lives on a ranch in west Texas and is a genuine Texas cowgirl. This house reminded us so much of her and her house. We loved it. Kids loved walking down to the lake and swimming. We enjoyed evenings on the balcony overlooking the lake. Cooked in all nights and kitchen had everything we needed. We are looking forward to returning. Thank you for sharing your home.

Awesome property! Right on the lake, with lots of space for activities. We had a youth group from our church here, and it was perfect. The place had everything we needed for cooking and sleeping 8 people. Loved the outdoor fire pit also. The owners were very easy to communicate with!

As with other reviewers, we had a wonderful time. It was hard to leave and go back to the real world. For those who are trying to decide if this is the house for them.......
House Layout: The 1st floor rooms are in a row with a large covered deck running the length of the home off the back that has multiple seating areas. Even with 9 people there was plenty room for everyone to find a spot away from others if they wanted. The 1st floor bedroom is isolated from the rest of the house so whoever is there will not hear when people in the rest of the house get up. That was wonderful.
Lake: The house is set back from the lake so its a 1-2 minute walk to get from the house to the shore. This part of the shore is a quiet inlet. We stayed for a week but only saw other people on the shore 1 of the days. This section is rocky (water shoes are necessary) and stays shallow quite a ways so the water is warm.
Parking: We had 3 cars and there would have been space for at least 2 more without any of them being blocked in.
Showers: We had 9 people. 3 showers going at once. Always had enough hot water.
Other things: With a few exceptions it will take 20-30 minutes to get anywhere, but that was fine for us. The house does not have Wi-Fi but is in an area with good cell phone reception. We didn’t use the grill, but the kids enjoyed cooking hot dogs and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The deer are very friendly and keep an eye out for anyone willing to feed them.

It is a great place to stay near the water with great views. The property owner has spent a lot of time and money on decorating the home. I would agree with another evaluator that small children would be a full time job keeping them from touching things; however we were all adults and did not have that problem. We were disappointed that we did not get to grill outside but we made other plans that worked out ok for us well.

This property is not only beautiful but so amazingly cozy! We felt completely at home as soon as we walked through the front door! We had a fabulous time and enjoyed every single moment there, even though it rained almost the whole weekend. This house has plenty of room and has an exceptional layout. We literally had 2 adults and 6 teenagers and had plenty of room to gather, but we were also able to have our own privacy when needed or wanted. Large decks, great views and the Texas decor was adorable. Very comfy and welcoming place to stay! We will be back! Most definitely recommend this place 100%!!

We had a group of 7 people in town to kayak the Guadalupe River. Great place for our group. Easy going place with lots of room & all the perks for a weekend away. We had a grill and fire ring for our evening dinners & entertainment, respectively. Would recommend for a large group.

We really enjoyed staying at this home. It was very homey and felt like going to a family lake house with all of the knicknacks and decor that feels like it was lovingly collected. The layout is great - the large separated master with a lake view for mom & dad, and the 3 other bedrooms off of the living room for the kids. It would also work great for two families, since the master also has a futon for the kids. Everyone loved seeing the deer in the mornings and evenings, and they come right into the yard to graze. House is close to nearby hiking trails, the dam, and boat access for the lake. Overall a great place to be.

Very nice property right on Canyon Lake. Great decks and outdoor amenities. We drove down to the lake and set up a canopy to enjoy the water. We had a great long weekend with friends.

Let me start off with saying the pictures do this home no justice! This house is just beautiful, inside and out. Very spacious and comfortable; perfect for my family which consisted of 6 adults and 4 children. The kitchen is very well stocked, plenty of board games to play, lots of space on the deck and not to mention the lake view! The children LOVED feeding the deer and running around with all the open space outside.
We visited Canyon Lake Marina which was about 12 min away and rented a couple speed boats. (there still aren't very many swim areas open just yet because of the flood, so this was a great alternative).
I honestly couldn't have picked a better rental, especially since the owner is just so sweet and makes everything so easy. Definitely recommend this place and without a doubt will return!

What a beautiful house and property. It was well stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware, and condiments. The porch had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the view. We had grown kids and elderly alike , and both enjoyed the house. It poured and flooded during that week with record floods and rain and didn't venture out on the lake for all the debris. Instead, we found plenty of things to do in neighboring towns and local places. We had such a good time!
