The beach was awesome and the ice cream shop was the best

The location

The carpets were so bad filthy, and the tracking area that it was black when the carpet was supposed be blue. The kitchen sink was no bigger than my hand open wide. You couldn’t hardly wash anything. You couldn’t hardly cook anything because the burners on the stove was all messed up and we were supposed to had a balcony and said we had a little room where you open up the curtains and see a wall.

We were unaware that the doors did not lock automatically. Spent 30 min on the phone and could not figure it out. Eventually got code for the lock box to get the key. Finally, a neighbor told me how to lock the door.

Would like to know if we came back how exactly do you book a ground floor and a view of the ocean???

Decorated cute and was clean ...

When booking this property it said beach front . So we thought we would have a view of the ocean. No had a view of the parking lot. Did not realize it was on the second floor but saved us by having an elevator to get everything up to the room Had to really nice swimming pools on the property and the beach was nice and clean but was a long walk to get to that. Advertixed a playground which we never did see.

Accommodations for the last minute no frills trip

Location was good. Close to most things on the island. Will consider a larger unit or one that faces the beach instead of the road.

Wish there was a bicycle available for traveling island. Also, need a larger frying pan for the kitchen. Very difficult using the square griddle on the small stove-top.

Awesome

Apartment was nice & clean. Had everything we needed to cook with & having a washer & dryer was nice when we came in from the beach.

Could have used a more comfortable couch instead of a futon but was still nice. It's quit the trip to the beach but worth it once you get there.

Dirty, overpriced place! Never Again!

Location was great!

Was not as advertised. Wish I would have known to look up the building itself and rent from someone other than Vacasa. The room was very dirty and not well kept. They floors were even filthy. Simple things like no toilet paper, paper towels, or trash bags I handled, but major things like lack of cleanliness were a problem. Mold, dust, and just plain lazy filth is what you’ll find with this room. Oh, and the door latches to the bedrooms are broken and the washer only works part time. Do yourself a favor, rent from someone else!

Ok, but false advertising

It was clean, they provided soap for washer and dish washer, had most things needed for cooking - pots and pans, cookie sheets, casserole dish, etc. Pools were nice, good boardwalk to the beach. Beach was nice, no trash.

I booked the condo based on photos, but when I got the confirmation, it was a completely different one. The one I wanted had a table for 4, the one I got had a tiny table for 2. This was false advertising. When I asked, they said it was just an example condo. By the time I found out, it was too late for a refund, or I wouldn't have booked. The condo could use a can opener, pizza cutter, kitchen scissors. We did without, but would be helpful.

not to far from the actual beach. it was nice and clean. smelled well, the beds could have been a little more comfortable. well at least the one with the queen bed. my sister that slept in the bedroom with the double on bottom, twin on top was comfortable. but want let the bed stop me from returning.

we loved it, it allowed the relaxation and quiet that we needed

my husband and I loved the location and it was right on the beach. also we enjoyed how close restaurants were and the apartment we rented was great. I was very happy with it. some things probably need to be updated but everything is functional. I would rent from the property again.

The dead bolt door had an issue with it. I had to figure out the best way to make it work. Once you figure out how to jiggle the key in the lock right to where it unlatched the door it gets easier. I think it just needs to be replaced. We didn’t have any other issues with the property.

Great location with an awesome time with family and friends who had rented a home down the road.

Dauphin island is great. The condo was a bit more than comfortably used, but was what we’d expected with a short notice booking

We had a great vacation and will be back to Dauphin Island.

The location of condo was good, you could walk to places if you wanted. There was beach access from the condo, and they also gave a parking pass with additional beach access.

I feel like the the furniture could have been updated, the couch was very worn. The kitchen table and chairs needs replaced. They were not comfortable to sit out. The supply of cooking utensils was slim as well, we had to buy some pans in order to make breakfast and dinners.

Beautiful condo and helpful staff

The place was beautiful and very clean and well taken care of. When we contacted Vacasa about an issue they responded very quickly and the issue turned out not to be a problem at all. 🙂 The staff was super helpful and gracious about it.

Some instructions on how to set the dishwasher and washer/dryer might have been helpful. We did get the washer/dryer figured out, but the dishwasher would never start up and run.

We plan to return, but picked a different unit we to stay in.

The condo location was great (right off the beach) & we loved Dauphin Island!

The boardwalk ended in a short swampy area that you had to walk through to get to the beach & we heard lots of complaints about that beyond our own comments. The unit we stayed in was missing a few things that would’ve been helpful (no salt & pepper in the kitchen - we left what we bought, no mirror anywhere but the bathroom, no Kleenex, started with only 2 rolls of toilet paper for a week stay & was told that was the norm, though they did bring extra the next morning) No major problems, just inconveniences.

Nobody gave me a code to gate to property. NOBODY to help in the office after 3pm. NOBODY answered phone call from VACASA (rental agency). Pictures on website (booking.com) - did not match with apartment - i recomend to call and talk with them before renting. Rude person from vacasa who answered my questions.

Worth it

Loved that the property was nice, cozy, and clean. Also really enjoyed that there was two pools (one was heated).

I didn’t like that there wasn’t much staff there available to help. I wouldn’t recommend booking through booking.com since you may pay for a room with a ocean view, but then end up with one that’s not. If you book through booking.com the property can’t do anything about it.

4 day stay

It was close to everything, a nice place just needed to be cleaned and mopped. They had tv in every room with direct tv. The price was great. Easy access to beach.

When we first arrived the floors were covered with sand and our feet turned black. Mind you this before we ever stepped foot on the beach. I had to take a towel wet it and mop the floor on my hands and knees. The mattresses need to be replaced and couch cleaned better. The pictures online showed a beach view and we had a parking lot view. That was miss leading. If it was cleaner the rarimg would be 8-9.

It was a very simple, easy, and quick check in. It was fully contactless which was greatly appreciated. Getting the key and entry were simple.

Other than a few minor things it was a good stay. 8 out of 10😉 I would stay again

The metal chairs at the dining tables were metal an two were broken you could get cut an couch seriously need an up date. Couch was worn out an not comfortable at all. Our beds were fine! Couldn’t get the dishwasher to wash an coffee pot might need cleaned it kept overflowing the coffee grounds. Minor things ALL ELSE WAS GREAT!

I won’t stay again.

Location

The beds were hard. The unit was old and run down. The unit was dirty. We ended up leaving early and losing our money to stay somewhere else. We only stayed one night and that was only because we arrived at 3 am and couldn’t find another place to stay at that time. We chose to leave the next morning even though the stay was non refundable.
