About this cabin rental
The name Morwood House came about because there are approximately 27 different varieties of wood throughout the home, most of them in the game room. Here, the floor is made from local Hickory with Black Walnut inlay. The ceiling is of white washed Maple, also patterned with Walnut and the walls are made from slabs of Dogwood, Catalpa, Sweet Gum, Black Locust, Mimosa, Persimmon, Osage Orange, Cypress and more, with Walnut inlay between each slab. This 2,400 sq. ft. home is very special and unique and has a warm, comfortable, cozy atmosphere. So, whether it is for a party of two or a large group, you will discover the perfect hideaway that makes you feel right at home! Wireless Internet. Come check out the latest updates to Morwood, new flooring, furniture updates and more. All new felt on the pool table as well. Morwood House is conveniently located one mile south of Jasper, just off Scenic 7 Byway on 15 acres of pristine Ozark Mountain property. We're just minutes from the Buffalo National River, canoeing, great swimming holes, fishing, lots of fantastic hiking trails, and the quaint town of Jasper with it's unique shops and excellent restaurants. In Newton County you will discover the tallest bluffs on the Buffalo River, the highest free falling water fall in mid America, no traffic control lights, no shopping malls, no marinas and no straight roads. It's absolutely beautiful here! But, if you get tired if the great outdoors, Branson, MO and Eureka Springs, AR, are only about an hour away. There you can take in a show, spend the day at the spa or just shop til you drop. After all of that, you will be anxious to return to the peace and quiet of "Your Haven in the Ozarks". - When you check out please leave our home as you found it. - Dishes that are used should be washed and put away. - If you spill something , make a mess, or get sick- CLEAN IT UP ! - DO NOT put food or drinks on the pool table felt, it will stain. - Before you leave please make sure all trash is in the trash cans in the garden room. - NO GLASS BOTTLES at the cabin. They break and trash bags full of bottles are very heavy. - The hot tub is brand new, please treat with respect. DO NOT put anything in the water (sorry, no bubble bath !!), Do not attempt to remove any parts or change any settings. If there is an issue please call the property manager.

We loved the home and view while staying in Jasper. The home is secluded but it is peaceful, and the view is serene. We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking and exploring. The house has an amazing game room and lots to do for all ages. Fully accommodating home with spacious bedrooms. The Master Bedroom was HUGE and had private access to its own patio overlooking the mountains. The kitchen had all you need to enjoy your vacation. I would definitely recommend booking this rental if you plan to tour the Ozarks.

My biggest pet peeve is the place I’m staying has to be clean. As a business owner of a housekeeping business I’m super picky. This home met all my standards. It was super clean, it smelled nice, the place looked like it did in the photos. I will definitely be staying there again! The hot tub and game room was a big highlight for us. Also we were pleased at the variety of board games, card games, books/ magazines, and blankets.

The Morwood House had everything we needed on site! We honestly didn’t have to leave nor did our kids want to! Our family had the best time in the hot tub, making s’mores in the fire pit and playing pool and ping pong in the game room when it rained! The view is like no other! We cannot wait to book again this summer!!

This was such a perfect way for me and my husband driving in from Colorado to sync up with my siblings in Arkansas. We were able to meet at this cabin and enjoy a chill get-together in a new setting with fun games and plenty of space for us all. Everything was as described and expected from the listing. We all were able to find the cabin from the helpful directions and had a fun time! We'd recommend this getaway to others!!

We have stayed at the Morwood House before and have always loved it there. We keep seeing improvements to the house each time we go - like the new deck. It's very secluded, but close to hiking trails and downtown Jasper. The game room and the firepit are additional benefits, too!

The cabin is so comfortable. It's close enough to town that we could run in for groceries but you are on such a large piece of land that you feel isolated. We had a blast playing in the game room and relaxing in the hot tub. It was so great and we will be back

We all loved this place and location! It is remote and Tmobile service was non existant, however wifi at the house made this not a burden. House is nicely laid out and we LOVED the hot tub and game room. No complaints about anything.

This is a great place for a couple's weekend or a large group. The house is easy to get to and a quick drive to Jasper and other sites. Beautiful views, fun game room, nice hot tub... We loved staying in the Morwood!

We only stayed here for a few days. It was a side trip to a longer vacation. The house is fine. It was clean upon arrival. We haven’t vacationed here before and wanted to see what the area was like. I’m glad we only booked 3 nights because we couldn’t find much to do locally. The Buffalo River was quite low so we couldn’t kayak or canoe. Tried a close hike, Round Top Mountain loop and came back with quite a few ticks so check yourself if you hike in the area. We did a day trip to Branson, an hour drive and enjoyed that along with a trip to Table Rock Lake. Eureka Springs is about an hour away as well. The game room at the house was nice as well as the hot tub. The one negative I would mention is there is no dishwasher and the check out rule is you must hand wash and put away all dishes before leaving. I had to wash everything I took out of the cabinets before using them because all of the dishes and pans were not clean. Not the owner’s fault, I guess people just don’t care how they leave someone else’s property once they are done with it. Over all the house is fine. The wood in the house is beautiful!!! The TV channels available were great.

We stayed 4 nights here. The property had gorgeous views and is right on Hwy 7 which is beautiful for motorcycle riding. We had a wonderful time here!

Owners are super nice, the house was clean and perfect for the older kids along with us and our teenage daughter. Property needs a little updating here and there but nothing that would stop us from going back to stay for another week.

My family needed a get away from our demanding jobs where people just kind of suck the life out of us. This was just what we needed, the adult children joined us for serious quiet time. I had fun showing off my dart playing skills that noone knew I had. I can't remember the last time we all fought to put in a puzzle piece. While some enjoyed the hot tub, others enjoyed nearby hikes. With no neighbors around, we were free to let our hair down and just enjoy ourselves.

Amazing views on the way to the home, including many overlook sites that have amazing scenery! Upon entry to the home, it felt very warm and inviting. (It even felt/looked way larger than I imagined!) Although I enjoyed all of the amenities, I feel as if I enjoyed the hot tub and game room the most. Very beautiful home & I hope to rent again in the future! Thank you!

Our family enjoyed the hiking, rafting and rock climbing in the area. The house was a good fit for our group with plenty of room to spread out. The pool and ping pong table, as well as the hot tub were nice extras.

We had an amazing stay at this property. My kids (6 and 4) and dog loved exploring the spacious lot and surrounding woods and the game room came in huge when we were rained out a couple of days. The hot tub hit and relaxing by the fire pit were a perfect way to end a day of hiking and canoeing. And it’s a perfect location to access multiple hikes, Jasper, surrounding restaurants, and of course the river. If I’m being picky, I would add a TV and a bit of lighting to the game room. Otherwise, it’s not the most updated house, but it has a ton of character and is ideal for families who like to explore.

Beautiful and well maintained property. The house had everything that we needed and kept 4 kids plenty busy when we weren’t hiking or kayaking on the Buffalo National. The pool table, ping pong table and hot tub got plenty of use. The owners notified us of a shelter below the house when there was a tornado warning, in case we needed it. No complaints Amd we would definitely return or recommend the Morewood House to anybody!

My husband and I stayed with our 2 dogs, and had an amazing time. It was the perfect mix between away from it all and close to necessities. There were many amazing dog friendly hikes within an hour or so from the property, and the hot tub on the deck was the perfect way to relax after days of adventuring. The game room was so much fun!

This house is in the prime place for a lot of nice hikes. Jasper is a nice little town with very pleasant people. There are several very good restaurants in the area. The house is off the road and quiet. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space. The deck was great to relax and watch the sunset.

A group of us for friends take a hiking trip each fall. We chose this property for its location to the Buffalo River State Forest and caves. It was perfect.
The property manager was excellent. He responded to me quickly the few times I messaged him. And the house was more than we needed, we enjoyed the deck and looking at the beautiful stars at night. And the hot tub!
