About this house rental
Life is better at Lake Nacemiento. Especially when it is at our luxurious home on the lake...Take in the incredible views from one of the rear decks. Access your boat with a short walk through a park like setting to our private dock with covered seating area. Or, relax in our wonderfully appointed home that caters to your needs.
Whether it's an unforgettable family vacation, or a relaxing getaway with friends, you will discover a warm and welcome atmosphere that awaits you. As you enter the main level, the spacious Great Room will make you realize why this is the CENTER of the house. The Gourmet Kitchen has state of the art appliances, centered by the massive, granite island that provides a natural 'gathering area'. As you walk through the room, you notice the upscale furnishings and attention to detail in the decorating. A cozy family area awaits you with a huge fire place, incorportating the entertainment center. The dining area allowes access to the dual sliding glass doors leading to the upper deck and it's incredible views! Sitting next to the fire pit, or at the outside dining table, you can't take your eyes of the lake and surrounding countryside. Also, there is a second 'master' bedroom with bath on the same level.
The upper level is the Master Suite. With a great view of the lake, it offers a quiet 'retreat' from the rest of the house. The full bathroom offers a soaking tub, glass enclosed shower stall with rain shower, and two vanities. This is a wonderful, relaxing setting after a day on the lake or visiting the local wineries.
The lower level provides three additional bedrooms, two of which have commanding views of the lake with sliding doors to the lower deck. The third bedroom has a king bed and bunk beds. There are two full bathrooms on this level, with tile and dual sinks in each.
All the bedrooms have California King beds, luxury linens, flat screen TV's and DVD players for your enjoyment.
Our home is equipped with three cooling zones and two tankless water heaters. You will NEVER run out of hot water.
Watersports;
We consider Lake Nacemiento one of the finest lakes in California. Called 'The Dragon' from its unique shape, accessing it from our private, covered dock is very convenient. Waterskiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, fishing, are just some of the activities you can enjoy. At the main marina, there is a gas station and restaurant to serve you. But it is exploring the lake, and it's many coves, that really make it special. Depending on the water level of the lake, East Beach cove creates a beach that feeds our dock.
Wineries;
The house is a quick 30 mile drive to the 'Paso Wine Country'. A perfect way to spend the day, driving through the Oak lined, sleepy roads to the many wineries that dot the countryside. Often noted in Wine Spectator, there are world class wineries to seek out. Be it Justin, Turley, Tablas Creek (our favorite), or any of the other 200 wineries to visit, you will have plenty to choose from. Most are open year round, 7 days a week. It is not uncommon to meet either the owner and/or the wine maker when you visit them.
Golf;
Hunter Ranch Golf Club is one of the Central Coast's best golf courses. Also check out Paso Robles Country Club and The Links Course.
In Town;
Historical Paso Robles is a wonderful, quiet town. You can wander through boutiques and shops, enjoy fine dining at one of the many restaurants (Artisans is one of our favorites), wine tasting in town or just relax in the shady central park.
Events:
During the last two weeks of July is the Mid State Fair with everything from music, livestock, to carnival rides, games. The Main Stage has headlined Bob Dylan, America, Kid Rock, Huey Lewis, Winton Marsalis, and more. Every year we look forward to see who is going to preform.

Hearst Castle is under two hours away on the coast, with the little 'artsey' town of Cambria just before it. And, if you are adventruesome, a trip through Fort Hunter Liggett will lead you onto Highway One just south of Big Sur. Both are full day trips.
Yes, there is a lot to do while you are here. And even though summer is the most popular time, the other seaons have so much to offer. Spring is spectactular with the lush, green landscape and the Oaks comming to life. The fall is gorgous with the colors (we waterskied on Thanksgiving weekend with the lake to ourselves!). And Winter, with it's special quietness that urges you to curl up in front of the fire place with a good book, take long walks, or just 'drop under the radar'. This truly is a special place. We would love to share it with you.....

We had a great time at this home for 6 days. The view from the deck is awesome and the layout of the main living area is an open floor plan, so plenty of room for everyone. We had an incredible stay at the Adams beautiful lakefront home! From the moment we walked in we knew this was going to be a great trip. Beautiful decor, well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds. Excellent communication with the owners. We loved sitting out on the deck and watching the sunset each night. The Adams home is luxurious, comfortable and feels like home. We have stayed at Lake Nacimiento every year for the past 25 years and have tried many Oak Shores properties. The Adams family home is by far the best of them all. Each room is so well appointed and the kitchen so well stocked that it feels like home. Glenn and Sharon were great to work with and very attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this rental!!

Loved everything about the home. All bedrooms had king sized beds. Kitchen/main room was perfect. Only downside of house was second level AC never really worked. Too hot to open windows. There was a big difference in temp from top floor to bedroom floor.
The covered private dock was awesome. Very big and owner provided extra chairs for us. Only downside of that was the steep hill to the house. Wasn't far, but not easy to bring stuff down for hanging at the lake. We had elderly parents with us that had to be guided down very carefully. Can slip if not careful.

The house was perfect for our family. Plenty of bedrooms and baths gave everyone privacy and time to themselves. The great room was more than great! We gathered there for conversation, games and laughs. My son is a gourmet chef and was quite impressed with how the kitchen was stocked. Meals on the patio were especially enjoyable. We had a lovely day on the lake and spent time at the community pool. So much fun and luxury! Glenn and Sharron hosted us as if we were old friends. Cheers!

I cannot say enough great things about this property or the amazing communication with the owners. Every step of the way was spot on. The home was just beautiful and the lake views are lovely. We took our boat so the dock was a huge plus for our family. This home is stocked with pretty much anything you may need and the beds are so so comfy. You cannot go wrong with this gem. Anyone would enjoy this perfectly appointed home. This house is so well insulated that we rarely could hear anything but peaceful bliss. The views are incredible from anywhere in the house. The waterfront is a short walk down the path with deer and turkeys greeting us everyday. My favorite thing was the community! Anywhere you go you're greeted with a wave and a smile. We had a well needed and incredible week!! Glenn and Sharon answered every question and were so accommodating. Planning our next stay already. Thanks for everything!!!

Without a doubt, Glenn and Sharon were exceptionally thorough with their communication prior to our arrival. We felt that if anything went wrong, they were readily available. The house is decorated with loving care; they didn't skimp on anything. How fabulous to spend the entire day on the lake, come back to the house, and never run out of hot water............even if you're the last person to shower! The best hosts ever!!

This was our first visit, but won't be our last. The house was perfect for our family vacation. We love to cook and the kitchen was fully equipped and gorgeous. The bedrooms were so comfortable - felt like home. The great room was plenty big for us all to hang out with the kids after a day on the lake and play games, watch movies, or do some wine tasting after visiting the wineries :). The day always ended on the deck around the firepit watching the shooting stars. Many lovely memories made and we can't wait to go back. The water level was low, but still plenty for activities. Thanks Glenn and Sharon for sharing your beautiful home. It was an absolute delight!

Glenn and Sharon have such an amazing house on Lake Nacimiento! It's very spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed. Our family, ages 7-90 all had an incredible time! We rented a boat and the kids loved swimming down by the dock, tubing and learning to water ski. The grandparents enjoyed relaxing on the deck enjoying the amazing view of the lake and all the wildlife. The kitchen was perfect for our "chefs" with plenty of space and all the cooking tools they needed. We enjoyed our stay so much that we wished we didn't have to go home...

This was our second vacation at the Adams Home at Lake Nacimiento. Like our first visit in 2012, Glenn and Sharon went out of their way to ensure we had a perfect stay. From the moment you walk in the front door you'll immediately feel at home (or wish it was your home!) This house is large, beautiful and a perfect way to celebrate the gift of time with family and friends. Without a doubt, this is one of the nicest homes in Oak Shores and we've seen nothing like anywhere else available for rent.

We stayed her over New Years. This is a great house for a big family or group of friends. Enormous central entertainment area with a great well appointed kitchen. Bedrooms are large with very comfortable beds. Would recommend this house to anyone.

Repairs to our Oak Shores property led us to rent Glenn and Sharon's beautiful home. Now we are spoiled and our house will never live up, but we really enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious, well equipped in all areas and our group had a tremendous time. We enjoyed the views, the walks, the upper deck, the amazing kitchen, hanging on the dock watching the lake happenings while the kids wakeboarded etc. It is definitely one of, if not the, nicest place I've found on VRBO. Glenn/Sharon were incredibly helpful with pre arrival info. Really was a terrific weekend.

Fantastic facility for our group of 8. Having 4 private baths, for our 4 couples was one of the best features. The great room / gourmet kitchen was the center of all activity when not on our boat. Fully appointed and comfortable bedrooms. Highly recommended for large families or compatible groups of adults .
