About this house rental

Luxury lake home built in 2004, located on a large private lot. Woods on one side, a creek on the other and the lake in front offer privacy, tranquility and beautiful views. Interior is decorated beautifully with solid cherry hardwood floors on the main level, corian countertops, comfort appliances and new furniture. There is a gas-burning fireplace on the lower level and a heat producing wood-burning fireplace with stone masonry on the main level. The house has central air conditioning.

The lower level has 2 bedrooms one has 2 singles and the other has a queen and 2 singles., a half bathroom and a large family room with fireplace and a poker table. The main level has a porch across the back and a large deck all the way across the front, offering a huge 'extra room' outdoors. Also on the main level are 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a full bath, modern kitchen, laundry room, living room with fireplace, dining room and private sunroom. The second floor has two large bedrooms, each with queen-size beds, and a full bath. The back yard has enough room to park 6+ cars and there is room for boat or snowmobile trailers.

We are located directly across from the famous Chautauqua Institute which is world-renown for its cultural offerings. There are numerous golf courses, hiking trails, restaurants nearby. Downhill skiing is 20 minutes away; there are numerous snowmobile trails running very close to the property.

Perfect lake house for a large group. We're a family of 10 and this is the perfect house for us. Large kitchen/dining room, large covered porch with beautiful views of the lake, hiking trails nearby, privacy and large area for outdoor games, etc. This is our 2nd visit and we'll be back for a 3rd!

Very nice lake house with plenty of room for all 7 of us. Enjoyed the view and perfect location close to the state park and central to the villages along the lake. Host was great to work with and very responsive to questions and needs. Highly recommend staying here.

This was a perfect place for our annual sibling weekend. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, very clean, a full kitchen with everything you need, and best of all a beautiful porch to view the peaceful lake and wildlife. We will rent again.

This is our fifth year staying at this house and we love it. We book President's weekend for our family's annual ice fishing vacation. The house is in a great location, its large enough for all of us and is always very clean. David turns the heat up before we get there too!

We escaped from Chicago to quarantine in a different place for the week after Christmas. The house is beautiful, clean and well-kept. The house was right on the lake and we were close to hiking and sledding. The only thing that was a challenge was the grill. We wanted to grill for 10 people for the New Year and the grill was not big enough. There were two other grills there but we were asked not to use them. If the house fits 10 people, so should the grill.

The home and property were even more beautiful than the pictures. Our group wasn't huge but we love being able to spread out when on vacation and this property allowed us to do that! My children loved the shallow lake waters for swimming (bring water shoes!), I loved the kayaking available with the rental and we all loved the large porch with rocking chairs and beautiful lake views. No issues with the property and the owner was very responsive to our questions. We hope to rent here again!

Our family of 7 was in need of a re-charge weekend, and with Canadian Thanksgiving making us all available we booked our Lake Chautauqua retreat. We played basketball, Star Wars Monopoly, poker, Code Names, Spicy UNO, puzzled, talked, read, listened to great music, swam (brrrr), and kayaked. It was everything we needed, in an amazing, beautiful setting. Thanks for letting us stay here! We are already discussing a return visit.

My friends and I enjoyed the lake house. David was extremely accommodating and answered all of my questions and concerns. The house easily accommodated all of my friends. We enjoyed the kayaks and the large backyard.
