We had an awesome experience at Blueberry Shoals!! Britt and Donna were absolutely wonderful hosts! I can’t say enough about them and their property. From a hearty welcome with gifts and snacks to breakfast, we couldn’t have asked for more. Property was located far enough from Dalonagah but close enough to enjoy. Amenities were awesome and we can’t wait to go back!!! Overall extremely impressed!!

I can’t say enough good things about this property or it’s owners! You will not be disappointed. This lovely cabin is tucked into the woods, it’s quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The owners have thought of everything to make their guests feel at home. We did not need or want for anything but if we did I’m sure they would have had it there. I enjoyed the stories/history of the cabin and chatting with Britt and Donna. Not only great hosts but just outstanding people. We had some car trouble while there and Britt and Donna were so gracious to help us get back on the road safely. The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave! Thank you for making my birthday trip so wonderful!

We spent one night at Blueberry Shoals. We were in Dahlonega for a winery event. Our check in process was seamless and the owner communicated with us regarding arrival time and asked us what we might like for breakfast. The place was well equipped with some coffee and all the necessities for a light breakfast. We loved the bread that was left for us for some morning toast.
Lovely location which is somewhat secluded. We would have wanted to walk around and explore a little but the weather did not cooperate.
We would definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.

This is probably one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. The amenities the property offers were wonderful. The welcome goodies were awesome. The property owners live on site but they gave us our privacy. The owners were wonderful people. We will be back.

The unit lives up to its description in the listing, offering everything promised. While the pictures initially display a single drip coffee maker, I was pleasantly surprised to find a versatile coffee maker that accommodates both ground coffee and Keurig cups. The hosts even provided some coffee, adding a thoughtful touch to my stay.
The cabin itself is a charming three-level retreat, with stairs leading down to the cozy bedroom and up to the inviting living room area. As I explored the unit and its surroundings, I discovered a myriad of captivating art pieces. Each day held a delightful surprise, as I stumbled upon something new that piqued my interest. This ever-changing artistic landscape truly enhanced my experience.
The hosts, residing in a separate house on-site, surpassed my expectations and became the epitome of exceptional VRBO hosts. Their warm hospitality and attentiveness made me feel truly welcomed and well-cared for throughout my stay. Their presence and dedication added an extra layer of comfort and convenience to the overall experience.
Nestled on a wooded property, the cabin is a hidden gem surrounded by natural beauty. Marked trails meander through the enchanting landscape, revealing not only the serene tranquility of nature but also stunning artwork that adorns the trails and fire pit areas. Despite the property's modest size, the rolling hills turned my morning walks into both an invigorating workout and a serene way to embrace the start of each day.

Beautiful property as described. Outstanding host and hostess, aided by Ruby and Mildred, their dogs who checked in with us regularly! Way back in the foothills but close enough to town that it was convenient to get out. Wonderful walking trails on the property going right down to the river, though some trails are steep so recommend good hiking shoes and a walking stick. Absolutely loved the place!

I stayed with my husband and 8-year-old son for a weekend in Dahlonega, and it was a lovely property! Just exploring the grounds with its river-/creekside paths was a great way to get outdoors in a quiet setting. The apartment is on property with the owners’ main house, but the way I the buildings are situated provided plenty of privacy. We even spent evenings porch sitting without ever seeing the owners. But when we did (check in) they were a delight! They equipped the apartment with unexpected little amenities that made our stay more comfortable: not just coffee filters, but an assortment of coffees and to-go cups for check out day. Co time tap breakfast. Bottled waters. We could tell the hosts really enjoyed making their guests feel welcome. We loved our stay and will be back! It’s an easy drive to the downtown square and UNG!

Great little guest house, almost feels like a treehouse.

Quaint little place with nice walking trails throughout the woods with lots of places to sit and absorb the nature.
The owners live directly next door and I'm sure would be available if you needed anything.
My wife is gluten-free and they even made a special trip to the store to leave gluten-free bread for the continental breakfast.
Britt and Donna will definitely go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

We came to Dahlonega for the weekend to watch her son play baseball at UNG. Although we didn't get to explore the area, we wanted a weekend in the mountains and we got it!! The property was lovely and we enjoyed our morning coffe on the deck as we listened to the river, birds and wind chimes. Britt and Mildred (their sweet pup) gave us a tour of the property and made us feel welcome! Britt and Donna are lovely hosts and left us breakfast and an amazing coffee bar! We WILL be back!!

Couldn’t ask for a better place for our trip or better hosts. Hope to spend more weekends at this location when hiking around Dahlonega.

Came to Dahlonega to see Darrel Scott at the Crimson Moon and hike. Blueberry Shoals is a the perfect place to stay. Close to town but a beautiful mountain side cabin. The hiking around the cabin was beautiful! The trail was lined with folkart and benches. The sound of the river and was as peaceful as it could be. Thank you Donna and Britt for your over the top hospitality!!!!

Owners are incredibly kind and fun! The property itself has a lot of cool history and features. You are away from it all but not too far. You can get to the heart if town in about 15 min. You could almost make a vacation out of hanging around the cabin and the property itself. We will for sure be back!

My husband and I stayed here for a quick getaway. The cabin was wonderful, clean and nicely appointed. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Unfortunately it was a rainy weekend, so we didn’t get to experience much of the outdoor amenities. Hope to be back again soon and do so!

Had a weeklong Treasure Hunt adventure with a friend in Dahlonega, GA, while staying at Blueberry Shoals with Britt and Donna. Britt went above and beyond helping make sure our adventure was memorable. I highly recommend staying for several days at their property to get the full experience. Loved the firepits, stream, river, dogs and the surrounding area! I would definitely stay again!

Excellent property close to the river and Dahlonega
We had a lovely time at Blueberry Shoals. The cabin was clean, and the hosts were very responsive. This is a quirky property that the owners take a lot of care with. The river was a 5 minute walk away on a trail and was nice and swimmable. Lots of turtles, deer, and birds around. I would recommend it to anyone.

Perfect for a solo retreat
Blueberry Shoals had everything I needed for my quiet solo mini-vacation. The property is on the river, with trails for a light hike, including art along the trail. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of cookware, and the furniture is comfortable. Above all, the space was meticulously clean. Britt and Donna have thought of everything, and were very kind, attentive, and responsive, all while giving me ample space to enjoy a little solitide. I hope to go back someday!

Blueberry Shoals is close to town, but feels so remote. Mildred and Ruby (fur babies) came to greet us, so I knew right then this would be a great experience. Loved the tour by mule with Britt and the stories he told made us feel even more connected to the property. We got a lot of rain one day so we panned for gold and gems and went on the mine tour nearby. Had a great lunch at Capers(truly divine fig and goat cheese flatbread) and then relaxed back at the B&B. Very comfortable lodging and well equipped kitchen. Also very clean.
The property….how many times did we walk the trails?? Couldn’t get enough. Right on the river so it is perfect for anglers, swimmers and floaters. Britt and Donna have darling seating areas along the trails for one to just sit and breathe in the fresh air.
We will certainly recommend Blueberry Shoals to our friends and we would love to go back!!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!!
I looked for a place to take my husband as gift for his birthday. We were not disappointed!! The property and cabin were beautiful and Donna and Britt were so accommodating and provided everything we needed and more! When we arrived they had the sweetest little gift waiting for us! They were so thoughtful and the cabin had everything we needed. There is a river just down from the cabin and you can hear it when you’re sitting out on the deck, it’s so peaceful! It’s close to town, wineries and hiking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

My husband, son and I stayed at Blueberry Shoals. We had a wonderful time and wish it could have been longer. The place is cute and the property is so peaceful. Britt and Donna are so kind and thoughtful with the "extras"! They asked what we preferred for our continental breakfast and had little treats for us when we got there. They were super helpful with anything we needed. I would highly recommend staying at Blueberry Shoals!

Tucked Away Hideaway
This is a wonderful hideaway tucked in the woods. Such a peaceful setting with a spacious cabin. Britt and Donna have thought of just about everything you can need. We enjoyed our continental breakfast each morning. The trails and property are great. Lovely view of the river down the trail. Peaceful to sit outside on the deck and listen to the flowing river and wind blowing through the trees.

Blueberry Shoals is owned by Donna and Britt and they are among the best hosts you will ever find on this or any other vacation site. Generous, hard-working, accepting and tidy folks for sure. The property is very out of the way in the hills near Dahlonega Ga., but the 400 road to Atlanta is a very short distance from Blueberry Shoals. You can hear and see the Chestatee River as this property goes right to the river and includes fishing rights. There are neighbors, but you will see them only when you leave the property. It is a peaceful property surrounded by the beauty of the North Georgia woods and gentle slopes. The owners have brought much of their own artsy touch to the property and there are delightful sculptures, statues , and hidden treasures all over the seven acres. Perhaps host Britt will take you on a tour of the property and you will see what I mean by the artful touches and comfort stations all around. Big bonus for dog lovers is the house pet Matilda, who is very friendly (there is another older dog which we did not meet).
The cabin reminded me of a posh tree house because you are nestled up among the trees. There is a lovely deck facing the river and gravel paths for walking around the wooded property. The cabin is on three levels: first the dining/kitchen area, below is the bedroom and bathroom, and the third level is the hangout space with a large easy to operate television (satellite, wi-fi, and cell phones all worked fine and were super easy to use). So yes, there are two flights of stairs but they have sturdy hand rails and are well lit. My husband and I have bad or replaced knees and we had no trouble .
I do not think you will find a cleaner place anywhere. I dropped a pill on the floor and it rolled under the cabinets and was clean as a whistle when I retrieved it. You also will not find a better stocked accommodation. Everything you need is there for you to use . They even provide snacks and a continental breakfast which provided meals when we didn't want to leave.
The bed was comfortable and the linens were all good quality.
There is an overhead fan for those of us who need the cool breeze. Also, Britt showed me the thermostat and said to feel free to adjust it if needed.
Finally, they did not have a long list of rules, checkout requests, or tacky signs telling us what to do or not do .
We loved our stay and are hoping for a return visit soon!
