Stayed at this house as a large family group . The location is excellent for visiting Dublin and the house has a nice little pub within walking distance . The house is really big with loads of beds and plenty of seating space too for a large group . The children loved the garden with the football goals and basketball hoop and we spent a whole day there when we arrived.

Couldn't have been better. Lots of space for us all. A lovely location... we could see the sea, walk to the pub, cook up big meals and chat in quiet corners. Pertect, thank you.

The house is large and comfortable for families. It is up on a hill and the view is wonderful. Plenty of space for children to play. The kitchen could use some upgrades, however, as the chef knives are dull, even after an attempt to sharpen them. It could use some extra small appliances, like a food processor. We were disappointed that our request for one night full refund was denied after our personal plans changed. We did not see the “7-day requirement for July and August” in website. Only a small amount was offered as refund.
But our time there was very pleasant and we will all have good memories of our stay.

Perfect house for our first visit to Ireland! The kids loved playing basketball and soccer in the backyard. It was 20 minutes from some major attractions and only a few hours in the car to many other cities. We loved it!

Our group of 7 really enjoyed our stay - very well suited for a family visit, and kids especially enjoyed the soccer pitch. Karen was a pleasure to work with and very responsive.

Perfect Family Getaway Location - with perfect host
This home is just wonderful! The location gives fantastic views and a world of privacy and quiet but you are also in easy walking distance to Ashford center and the beautiful Mt. Usher Gardens and restaurant as well as all essentials. Wicklow, Greystones, Bray, Glendalough etc. are all short, picturesque drives away. Brittas Bay is an easily accessible, pretty, sandy beach - though there are lots of other options on the beach front.
My family ranged in age from 1 to 82, with a 3 year old and 17 year old and everyone had a great time and found something for them. If you do have younger kids (under 7) the swings and slides and treehouse etc. are a source of excitement. The astroturf football pitch is great for all ages (maybe not 82) and the outside seating makes meal time in good weather really simply and a treat. I really don't think you'll have a better find for hosting families with active kids.
Karen was great to communicate with and provided all sorts of guidance, recommendations, and equipment (high chair, cot, etc.) that made things easy and made me look good with family - which is never a bad thing. The kitchen is very well stocked and there are ALDI, Lidl, Tesco about 15 mins away and a big fridge/freezer and storage area so family meals are a good practical way to eat together. Washer and dryer also very helpful and four separate bathrooms is very nice.
There's also a piano and great internet for multiple devices - we had some people that needed to do some work video calls, etc. Didn't use the TV or sauna but seemed great unexpected options. This was a once in a lifetime holiday for our family and Karen and this home were central to truly special memories for us.

Birthday getaway
Karen was extremely helpful and accommodating for our stay. On asking for an earlier check in she went out of her way to accommodate this. On hearing that it was a family gathering for a special birthday she left a bottle of bubbly and birthday balloon for the birthday boy..a really nice touch. Thank you Karen.

We had a great time!! The view was fantastic!! From the front patio you can see the mountains and Irish Sea on a clear day. The sunrises are absolutely beautiful. The house was clean and greta for a large group, plenty of room. Karen was very helpful. The town of Ashford is a nice little town, with great food and drink. However, if you are going to stay in Ashford, Wicklow be sure you are renting a vehile, if you want to do anything outside of Ashford. It is very hilly and difficult if you are not in at least average to very good condition. Dublin is about 50 min utes away, easy to get to on the motorway. There is a bus that goes from Ashford to Dublin but it is not easy to understand the time table and prices.
If you have a large group more than 3, a taxi is hard to get and very expensive.
We had a wonderful time thank you Karen and we would definitely stay again!!! Patty

Before the start our holiday there were so many questions we had about the house and the location. The communication with the house owner was fantastic - so lovely and was so patient with all of our enquiries. She let us come and check in earlier which suited us perfectly, was so lovely while giving the tour and during the stay she regularly text to check in with making sure the home was okay and if we needed anything. I would rate it 5/5 for the customer service we received. With the house - everything was flawless. The land was amazing, a gorgeous garden and living space. Perfect wifi and service around the house as-well as perfect working utensils. All around a lovely house, comfortable beds, sofas etc and it’s only a short walk down to the village. - a really great stay. really recommend.

Karen is a super host. Excellent communication throughout and even texted recommendations of local walks. The house is ideally situated for exploring Wicklow. Within easy walking distance of good pubs for meals out and an excellent Centra. Beautiful beaches an easy drive away and of course the stunning Glendalough. Family Vacation
My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. Karen was very easy to get ahold of when questions came up and she was very helpful in the whole process. She also left a great resource binder with info about the neighborhood and ideas on what to do while we were there. The kids LOVED the backyard space and spent all the time playing soccer in the backyard. When we go back, I would definitely stay here again.

Great Week
Brilliant house for young kids. We had 2 large families and one set of grandparents, and the house was more than big enough to accommodate us. Our children had endless hours fun in the garden in the tree house and playing football. House has great bbq area for when the weather decides to be good. First class week, and Karen was a great host and left plenty of ideas for days away.
Ps, lovely touch with books left in each room

This home was absolutely fantastic! Plenty of space for our group of 11.
Our trip to Ireland was incredible and the first four nights were very memorable at this beautiful home! Coffee every morning overlooking the Irish Sea was my favorite! So much for the kids to do and explore. So close to wonderful restaurants/grocery. Our hosts were wonderful and made the check in so easy! The flowers on the property were gorgeous! Day trips to Dublin, Belfast, Waterford were perfect for our group and to come back after a long day to this beautiful home was wonderful! We dream to visit again and I would definitely love to be at this property again! Fantastic!!!

Great house for the kids!
My immediate and extended family stayed in this house for a week in April 2019 and enjoyed every minute of it! The kids just loved the gardens, with the astro turf pitch, tree house, trampoline, slides, playhouse and all the space to explore.
Inside, there was everything we needed including a sky sports package (that kept half my family happy!) and plenty of room for everyone to congregate or spend some time alone. Our host, Karen, was always available and gave us some useful pointers on where to take the kids when the rain came along.
Ashford is a lovely place to visit and its also close to other places like Bray and Brittas Bay - both well worth a visit.
I would recommend this property
