Right on the corner of 2 canals. As soon as you pull in the driveway, you can't wait to jump in a kayak and head to Pennekamp or Rowleys Park. We enjoyed the house so much, it was hard to leave every day. We spent a week here and saw

Go relax in a quiet safe & enjoyable home in Key Largo. Jim has everything there you could possibly need, just like home! Feed the fish, manatee and iguanas and enjoy sitting under the tiki hut with the fans to cool you off! What a tropical quiet paradise from the hustle of city life! We enjoyed fishing, kayaking & the sandbar! Took out a charter trip to catch mahi-mahi and had it for dinner! Visited the park and took the glass bottom boat to see the reef!

Great Keys Vacation
Jim was an excellent host meeting us at check-in and giving us a tour on the Sea Cat boat that we rented for the week. We spent everyday on the water and had a great time. Highly recommend the boat rental. We had plenty of room for our family of 6 and the house is close to several great restaraunts.

Perfect keys house
I have been traveling to the keys my entire life visiting my grandparents who lived in Marathon. This house reminded me so much of their house but much nicer! We saw manatees in the canal and kayaked and paddle boarded through the canal. It was perfect to watch the kids playing in the water while sitting under the tiki hut. We also rented a boat to take the kids tubing and snorkeling. Will be returning next year!

Perfect setup
What a great property and Host (Jim). So many add ons to the property that really make this place special. We have stayed numerous places throughout the keys and was a little reluctant to stay in key largo but we are so glad we did. So much to do and see in the waters around key largo and the house was the best hands down we have ever stayed at in the keys. From the canal front living room, the canal front bedrooms, the well kept property to the tiki hut it was more than we expected. Plus Jim has everything you could possibly need for any water activities. Rent his boat for the week and explore everyday. 5 minutes from house dock to channel to ocean. We only left house once to feed tarpon at Robbies for the kids other than that it was on the water. House is a must if you are considering. And when I say Jim has everything I mean it. Stayed at many vrbo rentals searching for stuff and this house never fell short of anything needed. If you are weighing your options on different houses to rent and this is one do yourself a favor and go with this one.

Very relaxing and fun
This property is beautiful and very relaxing and stress free. Jim is great and very accommodating. We got visits from the iguanas and manatees. The only reason why it did not get 5 stars is you can't really fish in the canal, everyone feeds the fish so they won't bite. That is really the only downside.

Fantastic house on the canal
What a wonderful gem on Key Largo! The house and gardens are beautiful, well cared for and extremely comfortable. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The whole group enjoyed spending time at the tiki hut watching my son and husband fish. They fished every day and were very successful. We appreciated having the kayaks and canoes and made good use of them most evening. We are already discussing our next visit and look forward to staying here again!

Thanks Jim for letting us stay at your place!! It was absolute paradise! We enjoyed seeing the iguanas and manatees right out the back door as well as adventuring out on the kayaks and canoes. Your dock right out the back door sure made it convenient for some ocean fishing and what a catch. We had grouper, snapper, margate and hogfish all in one outing. Then to be able to clean them with your set up under the tiki while listening to music made cleaning fish seem like fun. After all our playing everyday- we were only to happy to retire to our individual rooms, to comfy beds and TV in each one. THANK YOU-THANK YOU!! We will be returning ASAP.

We had 8 adults n 1- 4 yr old. Plenty of room for everyone with all the necessities needed for a Great vacation. No seeims were a challenge but whole island had them. Bug spray and fans a Big help. Would deffinately come back again. Thank You Jim for a home way from home.

Perfect Vacataion Getaway!
My husband and I along with our three adult children and spouses (seven of us) stayed at Paradise Place the week before Thanksgiving 2018. This was our first HomeAway experience and from the very beginning when we first saw this listing and began communicating with Jim to the very last day of our stay in Key Largo, our trip was truly paradise. It was important for us to have things to do that would allow us to just relax and stay put for the day and, when you arrive at Jim's Paradise Place, it is easy to forget the rest of the world and do just that. You can lean back in a chair and enjoy music or TV in the Tiki Hut, float in the canal, glide by the mangrove in a canoe or kayak, or watch the wildlife all day long...we loved it all. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, snacks and prepare our favorite beverages and we really loved eating about every meal outside in the Tiki Hut. Jim had everything we could possibly need to make our trip outstanding and we talk about it all the time. We highly recommend Jim's Paradise Place and hope to come back again. Thanks so much, Jim. We appreciate all you did to make our trip the best ever!

Quiet location with a wonderful property owner!
The home had lots of room. Loved the deck and the outside shower. We rented the boat and had the time of our life taking it out fishing and exploring. The iguanas came to visit which the kids loved. The other favorite was the paddle board, kayaks and canoe. These were on the water all the time. Jim the property owner is amazing and so kind. He was extra helpful and took care of our needs before we even asked. Only downside is the no see um insects that just had lunch on us, but that's part of being near the water. We would go back to this property anytime. My kids all voted it was the best vacation ever!!!

Great house for families
The house was larger than expected. Had things you wouldn't expect at a rental. Little things like spices, toilet paper etc. The outside shower was great after swimming in the canal. The owner Jim was fantastic, we rented the boat for a week and he took us out for about 2 hours showing us the ways in and out and fishing and snorkeling spots. The outside tiki hut was awesome and a great place to relax.

Loved This House!!
We stayed at Paradise Place last week and absolutely had a blast! Our boys loved being right on the water and able to grab a kayak or canoe and take off towards the Bay or creek. They told me that the house was "Awesome!" Fishing is good in the canal with lots of mangrove snappers in there...but they are smart little fish! The water is so clear you can see them down on the bottom. For those of you who are fishermen...the property has good tackle to use right there in the house...not junky stuff! Wish I had left my pole at home! The owner Jim is a pleasure to deal with, and no surprises. When he says he has bikes and snorkel equipment, i think there is enough for 10 people! Literally! Like others have said, the landscaping is done in such a way that you really do not see neighboring properties - very secluded! It was neat seeing the iguanas come over and lay in the sun. While we did not see the manatees while we were there, we did keep a close look out for them. We did see one down in Islamorada though. My only wish was that we had rented the boats also because we could have snorkeled everyday instead of going out with dive operators. We particularly enjoyed Cheeca Rocks and Alligator Reef under the lighthouse. Save yourself some time at the end of the days to get in a kayak and head down the creek...very scenic through the mangroves!! Thanks Jim for your hospitality!

Amazing
Paradise Place was truly paradise for our three families. Clean and bright with great a/c and well-equipped kitchen. Upon our arrival a mother manatee and her calf drifted past the dock-beautiful! Plenty of equipment for our 4 teenagers to enjoy-kayaks, bikes and floats. We also rented the Grady-White and spent hours out on the sounds and mangroves fishing and sightseeing. The fish were also biting right at the dock-we are enjoying snapper this evening-just needed a fishing pole (provided) and some bait! We were close to Jimmy Johnson's Big Chill and enjoyed several evenings there for drinks, music and the sunset. Pennekamp State Park is right down the highway and we went out on their snorkeling trip-great experience for the entire family! The property is beautiful and we just needed a trip to the local Publix grocery store to pick up provisions-everything else was there for us to have a relaxing vacation in Key Largo.

We very much enjoyed our stay! The place was in a great location, was clean, was amazingly well-cared for, and had a lot of extras to ensure the experience was a good one! We spent a lot of time on kayaks, in the boat, and hanging out under the tiki hut in the back. It was a relaxing time in a great place. Jim was the best possible host, taking care of us without a complaint. I highly recommend!!

It Really Is Paradise!
Let me start by saying the name is Spot On!!! For starters the house is very clean, well maintained, and roomy! The landscaping is awesome, it gives you so much privacy. On our visit which was on May19th-26th 2018 we seen so much! We had visits from 3 Manatees (2 were mama and her baby), 5 Iguanas hung out with us(They love lettuce, bananas, and tomatoes), we had a 3 foot nurse shark show up, and we had daily visits from the neighborhood cat. We loved the fact that you walk out the door and go fishing! We caught many fish! All different types even a small Baracuda! We went kayaking which was a great time. The TIKI HUT is a great touch!! We spent many hours either watching TV, listening to the radio, or just sitting back and relaxing! Jim has thought of everything to make sure your stay will be enjoyable! If you can think of it, Jim probably has it!! I highly recommend this piece of Paradise and hopefully in the future get to enjoy it again!! Thanks Jim it was AWESOME!!!

Truly an unforgettable experience.
This was my first VRBO rental and I don't think the bar could have been set any higher. On our first night, we were visited my a mother and baby Manatee. On the urging of a neighbor we gave the mother some fresh water as she needed it to produce milk for her young. She eagerly gulped away, and here we were, so close to this amazing creature. We bought lobster and crab from the Winn Dixie, and had an amazing BBQ every night. We visited the Pennekamp state park, and came home to this slice of heaven. We thoroughly enjoyed the tiki hut, and I went biking, and kayaking daily. We also had the chance to use some of the snorkel equipment. On the last night, the air conditioner stopped working. Jim comped us the last night of the stay. What an amazing property owner. We left lots of booze and goodies behind! It was only 4 nights, but I had more fun here, than at some resorts. I'm already dreaming of going back.

This was our first vacation for our big blended family, we brought kid's ages 18,15,10, & 7. They all enjoyed this vacation more than what we could imagine! As soon as we arrived they where all in the canal kayaking & canoeing. We met the manatee & the Iguana, we snorkeled 24/7 & having the boat was a must!! Jim provides you with everything!! Just make your teenagers put on sunblock! Florida sun is HOT! Great property & will go back again someday! Loved the outdoor shower!! We had an amazing time. The property is beautiful, the house spacious and clean. There's everything you could possibly want and more. We opted for the boat and I highly recommend it, we practically lived in it. We fed iguanas daily, as well as seeing gorgeous birds and all kinds of critters, and finally saw a manatee on one of our last days. Jim is a great guy. Our only regret was not staying longer!

WE RENTED HIS HOME FOR EIGHT DAYS. THE HOME IS CLEAN AND THE AIR CONDITIONING WORKS REALLY WELL, THE GROUNDS ARE SPECTACULAR. THE TIKI HUT IS OUR FAVORITE HANGOUT PLACE AND THE IGUANAS COME OUT TO GREET YOU DAILY...THEY LIKE TO EAT AND JIM KEEPS THE FREEZER STOCKED FULL OF VEGGIES FOR THEM TO EAT.. THE SHED HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR WATER FUN..PLENTY OF FLOATS, OARS, LIFE JACKETS, ECT. WE USED EVERYTHING HE HAD, CANOES, KAYAKS AND THE BOAT WAS A HUGE HIT WITH THE KIDS. WE SPENT SO MUCH TIME ON THE WATER AND YOU CAN GET TO ALL THE BEST PLACES TO EAT BY BOAT AS WELL. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH JIM AND HIS LOVELY VACATION HOME... This was our third winter renting from Jim. The first two years we stayed just for the month of January. This past winter we stayed for two and a half months. On arrival, we always found the house very clean. Everything was in good working order. (Jim checked in with us periodically to make sure everything was okay. That was appreciated.) Along with the grill outside, the kitchen provided everything we needed to prepare our own meals. We prefer that to eating out. Each bedroom had a TV, which I particularly liked. The living room had enough comfortable seating for us and our guests. I love kayaking and Jim provides 2 single kayaks and 1 double kayak. Kayaking the mangroves is so peaceful! And if you're lucky, you'll see a manatee, as I did on 1 occasion. Jim provides most everything we needed to enjoy the area. There are bikes of all sizes, snorkeling equipment, lifejackets, fishing poles, and inner tubes. The tiki hut is amazing! There is a table with chairs to eat a meal outside. There are also padded lounge chairs to relax on while reading a book, watching the flat screen TV or just enjoying the canal. The property is private, which for us was appreciated. Jim has done a great job landscaping. We enjoyed watching different birds and butterflies that came to the yard. We "made friends" with the neighbors' cat. He visited every day, and on occasion, an iguana swam across the canal to "hang out" with us on the dock. Jim's property really does offer nature at its best! We could be busy if we wanted to be, or we could just sit back, TOTALLY RELAX, and enjoy the warm Florida sunshine!

What an amazing property! Every step of the rental process with Jim went smoothly and the house was beyond our expectations. The dedication to the beauty of the natural areas and the thoughtful extras really made our stay extra special. We shared the house with another family of 4, and we had plenty of space! The kids enjoyed fishing, following geckos, and kayaking in the canal. On-site laundry area was a great bonus as well. We spent many hours under the palapa, just enjoying the beauty of the mangroves. We saw beautiful birds, amazing fish in the canal, a couple of iguanas and even had a pair of manatees visit with us on the last day!
We used the home as a base for some excursions down the keys as well. Everything was easy to get to, and with two grocery stores to chose from, we were well equipped. Jim's recommendations all panned out to be wonderful. We enjoyed several state parks, snorkeling, shopping, and amazing food all listed out in the giant binder of recommendations he keeps. Our one rainy day gave us a chance to rest up, and we had no problem keeping the kids busy around the house with all the games, books and movies available! (again, the palapa was the BEST!)
The layout of the property was ideal for two families with kids. We all had plenty of space even with the children sharing rooms. We really like to be able to cook some of our meals in when we are on vacation, and this house was the perfect landing pad for all of our adventures. I would strongly recommend this property to people who love all the comforts of home while they are traveling.

Jim is a class act and so is his property. The neighbors are friendly, but not invasive. This was our second time renting the home so we knew what to expect. The weather was superb every day. You really do not need to leave the property if you don't want to. It is that equipped and relaxing. Went kayaking, fishing, grilled some dinners and relaxed under the tiki hut. There are so many kinds of fish in the canal. One day two manatees came to visit, and a few days later five showed up including a baby! What an experience. I would recommend going to Key West for a day and taking a sunset cruise. You will not regret it. Thank you Jim for such a wonderful place to vacation.
