We had a very relaxing week at this lovely house. Happy Our lived up to its description ….it was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. Helen and property manager Tom were both very communicative. We hope to visit again!

This property is exactly as listed and pictured. It couldn't be a happier space. Personality galore. Helen (owner) & Tom (property manager) were both fantastic to communicate with. We love the Coral Bay side of the island - fewer people - very chill vibe. We highly recommend Happy Our.

Thank you to the owners for sharing this property. The house was very comfortable and in perfect condition. Very well equipped. We wound up enjoying cooking and relaxing in the evening at Happy Our after a day of hiking and snorkeling: we did not want to leave. Hope to rent again next year.

Amazing wonderful stay. Helen was such a great host and was very responsive and provided tons of great information. St John and especially the Coral Bay area is the best. May want to consider some new appliances, especially washer/dryer.

The steep driveway and hairpin turn to get to the house was scary. The owner's car was parked in the driveway the entire time. There was only one room with AC. The fridge/freezer didn't work well. All things not mentioned in the description. Overall it was clean and we enjoyed the view and the breeze on the patio.

The delightful Happy Our is tucked away on the top of a hill overlooking Coral Bay – (located about 30 minutes’ drive from busy Cruz Bay.) It has beautiful views and wonderful breezes throughout! The house is delightfully decorated in lively Caribbean colors with great artwork and whimsical tropical fish! The layout of the house was perfect for our group of 5; it has plenty of “together space” between the living room, dining room and spacious deck while the bedrooms allow for private winddown time! The kitchen has everything you need for making meals when you don’t want to go out to eat. The spacious deck off the main house is ideal for enjoying morning coffee, evening cocktails and those breezes! My husband and I stayed in the “cottage” which has its own patio and a large outdoor shower! There are plenty of linens provided, including beach towels; there were more than enough easy to carry beach chairs and coolers which came in very handy! We booked this property for a family vacation with our adult children to celebrate my husband’s retirement. Helen the owner surprised us with beer and wine in the refrigerator upon our arrival! We were so impressed and appreciative of her kind and thoughtful gesture! Planning for our stay couldn’t have been easier, she is a very responsive owner. Prior to our arrival she shared tips and recommendations about restaurants, grocery shopping, beaches, and car rentals – everything we needed to help make our stay smooth and enjoyable. Property manager Tom was a pleasure, also full of great advice and recommendations. The house is a short drive to Coral Bay restaurants, beaches and two small but well stocked convenient type grocery stores. Driving on St. John is not for the faint of heart! In Coral Bay you share the road with wild donkeys and herds of goats (delightful!) we highly recommend following Helen’s advice and renting a 4-wheel drive jeep. The property is as described in the listing; well-cared for, great Coral Bay location, clean and a wonderful place to relax! Lovely little home with cottage. My wife and I stayed in the cottage and we love it. Our friends stayed in the master bedroom and they love it as well. Sitting on the deck mornings and evenings was the best.

You can't go wrong staying on st john, and Coral Bay is the place to be if you want a quiet and friendly neighborhood with great people. Happy Our was an absolute privilege to stay at. The property was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was well stocked with all we needed, the outdoor shower was amazing, and both the owners and Tom the property manager were attentive and wanted nothing more than for us to have an amazing stay. Not to mention the deck has the most incredible view of Coral Bay and Hurricane Hole. The pictures aren't just accurate, but can't possibly capture just how beautiful that view truly is. And we can't forget to mention the donkeys! We had some amazing encounters across the island with local wildlife, including some wild donkeys who came up the road to say hi as we were driving back to the villa. They were so friendly they were willing to be pet and even pose for pictures. Our girls in particular couldn't talk enough about it! Do yourself a favor, and stay at Happy Our. You won't regret it.

Helen was spot on with communication and recommendations for activities. The house was exactly as described. The rooms are spread out enough to get a little distance from the rest of your group when needed with a great central area for being together. Beautiful view of Coral Bay. Very convenient location for food, beaches and dive shop.

Happy Our suited our need perfectly! We came to work at Carolina Corral, and it was less than 5 minutes away! It’s close to town, restaurants, and grocery stores. Sitting up the hill offers a beautiful view and stunning sun rises! My daughter and I felt very safe staying there alone. I slept with the deck doors open every night and loved hearing the night sounds. It got a little warm at times, but using the fan helped a lot. The villa is equipped nicely with plenty of towels, cookware, beach chairs, etc. The villa is very cheery and relaxing! We also had a donkey couple visit one time on the driveway! Tom, the villa manager is a really nice and fun guy to chat with! And Helen the owner is a great communicator! We’re very pleased!

Happy Our was a perfect beach cottage in a perfect location with stunning views high over Coral Bay for our family of four. Happy Our is perfect for older kids, in our case 17 year old daughter and 15 year old son. We will stay in Coral Bay again as we gained new perspectives on the bays in East End and Salt Pond Beach. A left hand turn at the end of the driveway and just a quick few miles to Haulover Bay and Hansen Bay for some excellent reefs, turtles, sting rays and fish. Salt Pond Beach is a new favorite also with excellent reefs and turtles just up the road (you will literally check off every fish on your fish guide at Haulover and Salt Pond). And the sharp right hand turn onto route 20 cuts a ton of time on driving around the island and brings you right into Maho Bay, Trunk Bay and the rest. With two adventurous teenagers, a 17 year old daughter and 15 year old son, the days of having them share a pullout are over. Happy Our was a perfect property with separate bedrooms (1 side cottage with it's own bathroom) for us all. Kitchen and grill perfect for dinners in and Skinny Legs literally at the end of the drive way for excellent burgers and refreshments. Morgan's Mango in Cruz Bay for the Grand Finale dinner. We loved our stay at Happy Our. Patio views were amazing. Will stay here again!

This is our second time to St. John and first time we went with another couple. The set up of this house is perfect for giving couples their own space. Waking up every morning and each room having their own balcony is an wonderful treat. The house was very clean and had everything you could need to cook any meals when you want a break of eating out. We love it over in Coral Bay and this house is in a great location. If we come back with more couples or family, this house will definitely be back on the list.

A trip filled with much gratitude! Thankful for Helen for this opportunity and for all of the wonderful help with planning our vacation! Thankful for Tom and his hospitality from the time we arrived on the island, the tour as we made our way to Happy Our and all the wonderful tips he gave us for our stay! Happy Our was in a perfect location! The sunrise view was such a wonderful way to start our day! We enjoyed a hearty breakfast on the deck and then headed out for a day of beaching, hiking and snorkeling! We would make our way back for a snack and cocktail on the deck and then would head out for a beautiful dinner exploring many of the local restaurants! It was wonderful falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves and waking up to a beautiful sunrise! Happy Our had everything we needed! We were so thankful For comfy beds! Highlight was showering in the outdoor showers! Happy Hour was well stocked with beach towels, beach chairs and swimming noodles! They have put a lot of thought into making their guests have the best experience! We are grateful for being able to have the wonderful experience!!!

Happy St.Our is a vibrant, full of color, island vibe nestled in the hillside over directly looking Coral Bay and all of the splendid and beauty of the islands and Bay. The view is indescribable and very memorable. The owner and manager both provide excellent communication and putting you first. We came back to St. John to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary over the week of Thanksgiving (we were married on Trunk Bay). We throughly enjoyed every minute snorkeling and exploring the island and beaches. The island has shown its resilience and commitment to rebuild after Irma and Maria. We will definitely return and hold our memories of such a enjoyable stay and experience close to our hearts.

Happy Our is a great place to stay. Comfortable, spotless and very well appointed. The views are magnificent and the breezes make AC unnecessary. The property is large enough for everyone to spread out and have some downtime or gather in one place to celebrate. We were a little disappointed that the pool was not in service yet, but the beaches more than made up for it. The drive to the house, as stated by another, earlier reviewer, is indeed, quite an adventure in itself. Tom was very helpful in showing us around the property and answered our couple of calls promptly. Coral Bay is a peaceful retreat with some very good options for dining, shopping, etc, and is just a short drive to the beaches and Cruz Bay. We would highly recommend Happy Our to people who require 3 bedrooms for their party. It is a wonderful place. Thank you Helen and Tom...we appreciate you. Mark, John and Dale.

Very nice home to feel comfortable in, clean, organized and welcoming. Tom was prompt and a great assist for us on the island. All the amenities you could wish for. Beautiful deck and views. The road leading to the home needs some attention, I know the owners have little control over that piece but that is a suggestion that I could offer. We have been to many islands but st john is incredible, talk about relaxing if you want to forget about all your problems happyour is the place to go...............its an adventure in itself GOING UP THE DRIVEWAY IS TOTALLY AN ADVENTURE and when you get there you look at the view and go''''WOW'''you will be awed, what a view, you wake up in the morning and the view off the deck is like you was in heaven ""the way life should be """" the island is friendly and all the people are courteous, go to pickle in paradise for breakfast that"ll start your day of perfectly, after that driving on the left side of the road is really cool a chapter in life did"nt think I could do it ??????? wasn"t that difficult,so many beaches to visit every one was different swim or snorkel with the turtles or just relax on the beach I would not think twice about going again and talk about the outside showers", to live for," to listen to the birds sing while you are showering or to see a small lizard or a tree frog in the shower totally cool ''THIS IS THE CATS MEOW FOR A VACATION" git er done you will not regret, it any questions e/mail me @ paulbouf@yahoo>com

This home is truly a "home away from home"!! From the moment you walk in- you will feel as if you're in paradise!! The views from the main house and cottage are truly beautiful!! The owners have equipped the home with MORE than you could ask for; gourmet kitchen, towels, coolers, beach chairs, the most comfortable mattresses on all beds, OH- and SPOTLESS!!!! So close to the most beautiful beaches and restaurants...just be safe driving up/down "the hill"!! You won't want to leave, and I will guarantee you'll want to come back and tell others!! There is a book with Island suggestions, and contact information should anyone need something- plus movies, tv, and the most friendly neighbors!! Wifi is easily accessible, and the outdoor showers Can't be beat!!! Can't wait to go back!! Thank you HappyOur!!!!

What a great quiet location at the 4th switchback up above Skinny Legs. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle, which will come in handy for your day trips. Coral Bay is the opposite of Cruz Bay and very laid back. There are many colorful characters among the locals who will share some amazing stories with you after a couple of cocktails.

Happy Ours was perfect for us. We had two couples. Plenty of space and privacy for each couple, as well as great space for gathering. Spent all evenings and mornings on the deck, the big table was perfect for our nightly game of dominos, kitchen space was big so we were not tripping all over each other. All the amenities we needed were there. Nice to have beach chairs, towels and a cooler for our daily adventure. The home is very whimsical, tropical, spacious and comfortable. We truly loved the outdoor showers! Helen was a great host. She was so attentive to our planning. She forwarded information on car rental suggestions, restaurants, beaches, markets, weather, ocean conditions and ferry schedules. Always answered my emails promptly and was very kind. She arranged for Tom to meet us at Skinny Legs grill and follow him up to the house. He was kind and reviewed all we needed to know as well as answered a few call we made later in the week. Our vacation was wonderful on St John, such a lovely island. Thank you Helen, Ken and Tom

Loved the "vibe" at Happy Our - tropical, happy, spacious, comfortable, relaxing! We really enjoyed listening to music through the stereo's outdoor speakers on the balcony. In the morning we saw humming birds and an iguana in the trees. The outdoor showers are delightful. A cactus was blooming at night right next to the shower. The view itself is worth the trip. The pool area is it's own oasis. The beach chairs were so nice to have. Everything was very well maintained. The only minor complaint would be to have more Tupperware type of containers in the kitchen for leftovers and picnics to the beach. We had a wonderful stay at Happy Our. Hope to be back soon!

Cute house with all the amenities! View of Coral Harbor from the deck amazing! Great location to access beaches & cute restaurants in Coral Harbor. Enjoyed the awesome outdoor shower and pool. Would not be a good fit for families with small children. The main house has an upstairs room with two twins, the other bedroom is a down a flight of outdoor stairs and a separate entrance. Great for two or three couples or families with older kids who would appreciate the privacy. The beds not very comfortable. Tom, the property manager met us in Cruz Bay and showed us around and he was great!

This is our fourth year in a row staying at Happy Our in beautiful Coral Bay. After trying other places, we keep coming back to this clean spacious home that offers some of the best views on the island . If your family enjoys cooking like ours, then you will be impressed with one of the best equipped kitchens in any vacation house we have seen. . Don't want to cook, then take a five minute trip down the hill from the house takes you to Skinny Leg's for burgers or to Aqua Bistro where you can have a drink with an ocean view and the best buffalo grouper sandwich on St. John ! Bed rooms are very comfortable and the outdoor shower is stellar! Short drive takes you out to Vie's Beach and Snack Shack , our favorite spot for an easy going beach experience. Maho and Francis Bays are also a short drive away. We didn't use the pool very much but when we did it was really refreshing. The owners and property manager were very helpful and are genuinely interested in making your stay enjoyable. We will be back next year.

We stayed at Happy Our and enjoyed everything from the beautiful house to the pool to the great location! The owners also made our stay easy and enjoyable, providing us with everything we needed before our arrival. The property manager is also extremely nice and very helpful! We stayed here with our two children and there was plenty of room for all of us! The three separate bedrooms would also make it great for three couples. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need and there was a nice large table to accommodate 8! We also loved the outdoor showers and the kids loved eating on the deck while looking over the water. They also loved the pool - which was clean and always warm! The location was great! Easy ride to the beaches - kids especially loved Maho. We also enjoyed a great hike right down the hill from the house. We also enjoyed the great proximity to all types of restaurants from burgers to fine dining. We had an absolutely wonderful time and can't wait to go back. We will definitely be returning to Happy Our!

Traveling to such a faraway location for a first- time experience can be an incredible gamble. We chose Happy Our not only because of the numerous, very positive reviews, but also for the communication and commitment Helen, the owner, has for operating her property. We have stayed at other VRBO properties, and have the perspective for our comparison; Helen takes obvious pride in her guests' experience at her property during their vacations, and ours was no different. The little things that make the visit more complete or easier are all there, from beach towels, chairs, and coolers to a salad spinner or quality cooking pans. The stereo wash really nice to enjoy on evenings on the deck. The property: the kitchen, with full-size, excellent-condition appliances, was larger than what the photos indicate. A window above the sink looks out onto the hillside with nice landscaping. The bathrooms were all pleasant, the nicest being the ones in the main house; the towels were plush and quality above typical rental linens that we've seen. The outdoor showers were such a joy for us Coloradoans, and the little guest frog that appears on the showers head at night to consume the bugs, is an added bonus, (so please tolerate him to reduce the insect population). With a very nice large dining table inside, and additional dining table outside, we enjoyed utilizing both areas. The pool: incredible! Aesthetically pleasing, well-maintained surrounding with lovely landscaping. We under-utilized it having been in the ocean all days, but we encourage people to fully enjoy this wonderful amenity. For families with younger children, it is not right next to the house so don't expect to supervise children in the pool while being in the house. The 1 minute walk to the pool gives the chance to admire the landscaping and the little lizards. Also as important to the location, the owner attention, and the items in the house that make the stay pleasurable, is how well the property is maintained. Happy Our is one of the cleanest and properly maintained houses we have ever stayed at, and sets the gold-standard. In a tropical climate, with the salty air, everything shows the wear very quickly; we were very impressed with the attention to deck surfaces, tile, floors, handrails, stairs, even exterior paint. Again, the pride in ownership AND guest satisfaction is tangible. If you are looking for a quiet respite for a wonderful vacation, we highly recommend Happy Our! :-)))))

We had a group consisting of myself and girlfriend, a great friend of ours who had been my college roommate and had lived in the Virgin Islands before, and my brother and my 8-year old nephew. As two of us were pretty familiar with what to expect in the USVI, it was great - we loved being on the Coral Bay side of things, which is much quieter and more neighborhoody. Steep, steep driveway, with lots of zig-zags, but it makes the view worth it. There was one corner that we could never get around smoothly, we had to three-point it on the edge of the hillside. Kind of par for the course in the USVI - these are STEEP islands!! Loved the setup of the house; Main living area had a loft with 2 twin beds. Downstairs apartment for one person or a couple. A separate cabin for another couple just a few steps away from the main house. Loved the outdoor shower! Something great about washing off the beach salt while looking at a great view! Here on the far east end of the island, it is definitely not a nightlife spot, and very little shopping. Just nature, locals, and a quiet pace of life. The kitchen was pretty well set up, we did a lot of dinners at home, and packed a lot of lunches for the beach or boat. There are a few solid restaurants on this end of the island, and we were pleased with the grocery in Coral Bay as well, though I guess the prices were a bit high, but come on, beats driving to Cruz Bay! Skinny Legs is right at the bottom of the driveway for burgers, drinks, camaraderie, and live music. Indigo Grill had great apps, pizza, and local fish. Our favorite was Miss Lucy's - great West Indian food, a program of music (steel pan when we were there, Jazz thursdays, and a Jazz Sunday Brunch.) Really easy reach of Mahoe Bay, the East end (Vie's Beach/Hansen Bay area was great, loved it!) We went to Lameshur Bay, which has a much better road than I remember. We didn't actually use the pool, as we were so well situated for snorkeling and beaches, and we'd rather be in that gorgeous Caribbean water! Thanks - we enjoyed it very much, and we would definitely try to book this again if we had a similar composition of people in our group!

Happy Our is honestly one of the best places to stay in Coral Bay! The minute you walk through the front door of this bright, cheerful, island themed property any stresses you had off island become a thing of the past. It kills me to share this with anyone because I would like to have it for myself and my family any day, any time but I can’t so here you go. Enjoy every second of your time at Happy Our if you choose it as your vacation paradise.

The vacation was our first visit to St. John and our stay at "Happy Our" was absolutely wonderful. The house is great, the location is amazing, and we became very partial to the Coral Bay Community. Tom, the property manager is a super nice guy and helped us get situated on our first night. There are a few steep hills to drive up to the house, but we didn't need 4WD to do so except during rainstorms. Waking up to watch the sunrise each morning on the fantastic deck with views of Coral Bay and Hurricane Hole was a vacation in itself! The owners of "Happy Our", Helen and Ken, were extremely helpful in the weeks leading up to the trip by providing lots of information via email regarding beaches, restaurants, travel tips, etc. Our favorites were Skinny Legs, Indigo Grill, Miss Vie's, and the Three B's food truck. Although there were only 2 of us staying at the house during this trip, it is laid out in such a way that 3 couples could have considerable privacy with their own bathroom (2 outdoor showers and 1 indoor shower) and plenty of space. The outdoor shower was a really great option on nights when it wasn't too windy. The kitchen had lots of appliances that afforded the ability to make meals, frozen cocktails, etc. The dining area was very large and could accommodate 6-8 people easily, plus lots of outdoor seating on the deck as well! The house is a short drive to several beaches, including Waterlemon (Leinster) Bay and Salt Pond Beach. Both locations had amazing snorkeling opportunities. "Happy Our" was a wonderful place to rest our weary heads and we are already thinking about our next trip to the island.

This trip was a perfect family vacation. The house was perfect for our family and very comfortable. It felt as though you were at your own home. Decorated just how a beach house would be and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owners and property manager were so friendly and helpful. St. John is absolutely stunning in every aspect. The beaches are all amazing and each one is different from the other. Our favorite was Maho Bay. Our daughter still can not get over snorkeling with the sea turtles. I think that was her favorite part of the trip. The ruins are incredible and the water is so clear.
