About this house rental
This is a smart, modern, New York apartment that allows for unwinding and relaxation in a completely private space one floor up. It has a fully equipped kitchen with all equipment necessary to have a snack or make a full meal. Bedroom is roomy and comfy with a queen sized bed and attached bathroom and tons of closet space. Open living room and dining room with comfortable seating for dining and entertainment. The apartment is located on the second floor of our 2 story home and shares the street entrance with the first floor, but has its own private entrance on the second floor. The home is located in Baldwin, in Long Island, a block away from Rockville Center, close to Long Beach town and near Queens and Brooklyn. Also near Garden City, Hempstead, Oceanside, Valley Stream. It is close to major highways - Sunrise Highway, Southern State Parkway and Meadowbrook Parkway and just a few minutes from JFK Kennedy international airport. It is close proximity to several beautiful beaches, major colleges, hospitals and malls. Neighborhood is quiet with great parking available & surveillance. Lots of trees, flowers, manicured lawns. Easy drive to Long Beach, Lido Beach and Jones Beach. A straight drive down Long Beach Rd and in a few mins you're on the beautiful boardwalk or on the beach. Also the apartment is near Hofstra University, South Nassau Communities hospital, Long Island Jewish hospital. Also, Stony Brook University & hospital is approx 20 mins drive. Close proximity to Roosevelt mall, US Marine Academy, USMMA and 30 mins from Manhattan/New York. Also it's a short ride on the nearby Belt Parkway to Brooklyn and just a few miles to Queens and quick and easy access to Belmont Park Racetrack, US Open location and Aqueduct racetrack. Due to Covid-19, all guests are required to wear masks when entering/leaving the premises and no visitors are allowed on the premises. The owners live on the premises and are available if needed.

I was very pleased with my stay at this property. The accommodations were very comfortable, clean, and located in a quiet neighborhood. The owners responded quickly to my pre-arrival questions. They were very thoughtful. There was a welcome greeting on the door and some breakfast items and beverages available in the kitchen. I look forward to staying at this lovely apartment again.

Sharon and Mel are terrific hosts. They are very thoughtful with the eggs, OJ and english muffins. Their home is clean, safe and parking on the driveway was easy. We enjoyed their space and would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Wonderful, comfy place to stay!
Sharmel we’re wonderful hosts, anticipati g all of our needs beforehand and responding to questions quickly. They even provided items in the fridge for our arrival in mid-August. An oasis with A/C and cold drinks in the Summer heat.

I found this 1-bedroom apartment to be perfect for a month long stay for my adult daughter and myself. She needed to be able to work “from home” 11am-8pm during the week and WiFi was great. Having a full kitchen was very useful for lunches and dinners.
The apartment was very nice, comfortable MBR bed plus futon and couch for extra sleeping, and nicely renovated bathroom. Plenty of linens. It was in a quiet neighborhood, great for walking. Very convenient for shopping. The check-in was super easy and we really appreciated the driveway parking privilege. Sharon and Mel live downstairs, convenient if there’s an issue (we had none) but they were very respectful of our privacy.
I would absolutely rent this apartment again and recommend it highly.

The apartment is perfect for a couple or small family. The location is great for visiting Long Island. If you plan to visit the city it is quite a commute. However for the amenities and the great management and cleanliness of property and neighborhood it is an excellent option.

Great apartment

Lovely stay
The ease of check in/out was great. The bed is comfortable, the apartment was very clean and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Best of all, Sharon was quick to respond to our inquiries.

Great apartment
The apartment was great for our brief 2 night stay. It was very clean and convenient. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that the shower was small and the temperature control was touchy and unpredictable. Otherwise it was perfect!

Kudos to the owners, Mel and Sharon who are dedicated to making their guests feel at home in a warm and comfortable apartment. The memory foam mattress was a pleasant surprise for a tired traveler. I've never slept better. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with products(some of which we forgot to pack) to make our stay more comfortable and to save us a trip to the store. There's plenty of closet and drawer space so we didn't have to live out of our suitcases. The high speed internet and large screen TV made it possible for us to keep in touch and to relax with movies on any of the premium cable channels they made available to us. Thanks Mel and Sharon for a wonderful stay. We would do this again in a heartbeat whenever we plan a trip back to NY. --Roy and Barbara--

Excellent apartment! Fit our needs to a 'T'.
The apartment was perfect for us. Great location, parking no problem, very nice amenities, and the cleanliness was over the top! The owners are extremely personable and get back to you almost immediately if you have any questions. Will definitely stay there again when back in that part of the world!!

Good location
Mel and Sharon were great hosts. They live downstairs and are very responsive to your needs. We attended a wedding in Rockville Centre and this was a great place to stay for access to all our needs. Very clean and comfortable.
Plenty of places to eat within 10 minute drive. Thanks Mel and Sharon we enjoyed our accommodations.

Perfect base for NY City Stay
This was a very clean and comfortable little apartment in a beautiful residential setting. Close to the LIRR and Rockville center, you always have easy access to the city and access to great restaurants nearby. Mel and Sharon were great hosts. Recommended eats locally:

Just like home
Our second stay was as comforting as our first, just like being at home ..... parking in the driveway is a huge plus, the neighborhood is quiet and convenient to everything, located close to our family, which makes visiting them easy. It is always neat and clean and no deoderizing smells. Sharon and Mel are wonderful hosts ..... thank you so much and we look forward to another future visit if possible. Stay well, Irma & Tom.

Enjoyable stay
Mel was very pleasant and welcoming. Corresponding with them was easy and their response was prompt. This is an upper apartment, that was very neat, clean and cozy. Bed was firm yet comfortable, with plenty of pillows and blankets. Towels were fresh & soft and plenty. Great location in a quiet neighborhood across from a school. It's a short drive to nice restaurants, shopping, train station, Hofstra University and beaches This was my first time to Long Island, so I heavily relied on my GPS. If I return to the area, I'd like to stay here again. Thank you Mel and Sharon for offering your place to others.

Long Island apartment
Immaculate upper floor apartment in a home on a quiet cul-de-sac. Kitchen was well-stocked with breakfast food, bottled water and even cheese and chocolate. We also appreciated the extra toothbrushes! Great place for 2 guests. The mattress on the sofa bed is typical of a sofa bed, so not quite as plush as the bedroom. This is a great location, close to the airport and a main road (Sunrise Highway) but away from traffic.

Excellent Stay
We had a very pleasant stay at Sharon and Mel's property on Long Island. We were planning to visit our family on Long Island over the Thanksgiving Holiday and wanted a convenient location. It was an ideal choice for us. It was located in a very nice residential neighborhood that was quiet and well kept. There was also easy access to local stores including a large grocery within a few minutes by car. The apartment itself was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It was well equipped with everything you would need in the bedroom, kitchen, living room and bathroom. Everything was in good working condition and the facilities were very modern and well maintained. It was a great place to stay and I would definitely consider staying there again. I would highly recommend it to others. We met the owners, Sharon and Mel, on a couple of occasions. They were a very nice couple and were helpful and accommodating in every way. They provided outstanding customer service. Because we were visiting our family locally we did not check out the local activities, attractions or restaurants. So, I really cannot provide any comments about that. Detailed information was provided in the apartment to inform guests about local attractions, activities and restaurants. They looked very interesting but we did not have a chance to check them out. We would like to thank Sharon and Mel for their hospitality. We had a great stay and an excellent Thanksgiving.

Home away from home!
Sharon and Mel were very accommodating and kind, our stay was very comfortable everything was neat and clean for us it was a great location, having a parking spot was a big plus. We hope to stay again in the future.

SUPER CLEAN RENTAL
Everything about my stay at this rental was great. The refrigerator was stocked with milk, bread, juice, water.....etc. The bedding and towels were soft and plush. The entire place was nice and clean.
Sharon and Mel were so helpful. When I arrived, my knee was hurting and Mel was kind enough to help me upstairs with my luggage.
I would definitely recommend this rental to everyone.
I was able to visit my family and not worry about anything. The neighborhood is a nice safe one.

Very comfortable and clean!! A home away from home!!
The owner and the property were wonderful!! We were able to park in the driveway. It was very close to restaurants and stores. Very clean and extremely well stocked!! I'd highly recommend it and would stay there again!! Plenty of space for my husband and I and our 3 girls!! Nicely airconditioned too!! It was over 90 degrees during our stay.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with this rental. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and located in a very nice residential neighborhood. The owners had provided well for our needs and truly made us feel at home. We had complete privacy and found this home to be ideally located for our visits to various parts of Long Island with easy access to major highways and the Long Island Rail Road. We certainly hope to stay here again in the future.
