Superb

Location was good, and the room was spacious and clean for our party of three. The courtyard where I did laundry was filled with potted plants kept beautifully. We felt so safe and secure in Casa Jacobean. The room was dark and cool for a peaceful sleep.

I recommend this place, we had great fun getting the nonna to show us around when we couldn’t understand a word she was

The room was spacious and we could stretch out. The little court yard out the back was peaceful. I really enjoyed sitting there late in the afternoon and just soaking in the ambience

a place to rest

good location

the beds were very uncomfortable, bedspreads seemed dirty/old. Room was very cold, had to ask for a heater as the room heater didn’t work.

A great little spot for a rest day on the Camino! it was SO quiet, we slept till 9 on the rest day! It was a cold/rainy day, but there was a heater and extra blankets to keep us cozy!

Neat, clean little house right on the Camino.

I think at this price point- some ammenities could have been provided, such as shampoo in the shower etc. The street noise was also quite loud in the room from people walking by until quite late directly adjacent to the window.

add heat and the place is charming.

location and spaciousness. the little garden for washing clothes was very nice

it was too cold. the heat didn’t come on until after 7:00 pm and didn’t heat up until closer to 9:30. the floors, since it was at ground level, we’re very cold.

Highly recommend this quiet and cool oasis

Excellent central location and soundproofing. This is my second visit to Granon and last time I stayed at a hotel across from the church and heard the church bells every 15 minutes, all night long. This time, at Casa Jacobea, it was blissfully quiet and cool. We were experiencing a heat wave and it was 41C when I arrived but my room was lovely and cool. I had a delicious deep sleep. Loved the bathtub with the sloped back! A delightful bonus as I am walking the Camino and my feet and body were aching. I did hand-washing in the lovely garden and it was dry in a couple of hours. I would highly recommend.

big clean room on ground floor next to kitchen. immaculately clean and tidy. Host welcoming and gave tour of amenities.

Cold as weather changing; no heat. hard metal spring beds and road noise next to windows. not sure but permanent bars on the windows may be a health/fire danger.

Pleasant overnight stop with comfortable beds and convenient parking

This very pleasant accommodation is on the Camino de Santiago. It has two en suite rooms that share a kitchen/dining area and patio. During the summer season it is very likely that both rooms will be occupied, but also very likely that you will be sharing the communal facilities with very tired walkers - who go to bed early and are very quiet! That suited us very well as we were on a 3 day drive from the UK to southern Spain. We had the room facing the street (ground floor), but there was no street noise after ~10pm, although you do need the shutter down for privacy, which makes the room dark. There was a large bathroom with shower etc and the beds were comfortable. We parked directly outside, although not exactly in the right place to satisfy one of the neighbours....

Very trivially, the door to the apartment from the hallway was very squeaky, so when our very quiet flatmates left at 6.30 am the door woke me.

Dark and cool and lonesome

location right on the main street; large room in the first floor of a family home. Access to a laundry basin in the tiny, pleasant courtyard out back. Very clean throughout, almost antiseptically so.

There is very little sunlight in this place, I felt damp and chilly, like I was underground. It was a home at one point, but the common area has all the furniture pushed against the walls, upright chairs, no rugs, very little softness anywhere... not very welcoming or comfortable. The owner was polite, vanished after 10 minutes and was not seen again. I was alone in this big house; I went out soon as I could, did not hang out there. Slept very well, however!

Exceptional

Very friendly owner who met us late after a long day’s walk on the Camino and gave tips about where to eat etc. All in Spanish but we understood the important bits despite our lack of the language. House was rural and basic but comfortable and beds gave us the best night’s sleep so far on the trip! Added bonus of a bath for a much needed soak and was great for the rest stop we needed.

We were visiting out of season so it started a little cold but owner ensured it heated up quickly and we were able to dry our kit and have a comfortable stay. Very responsive so couldn’t ask for much more.
