About this chalet rental
Come relax at Lake Tahoe in our family’s charming chalet on the beautiful and peaceful West Shore. Our cabin is updated and completely furnished.
Each of the four bedrooms (two upstairs, two downstairs) contain a queen size bed and all linens are provided for your comfort and convenience. Each bedroom also has individually-controlled baseboard heating. The two bathrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs) have been remodeled and updated.
Just bring your food and favorite beverages and enjoy preparing your meals in the modern and fully stocked kitchen. And if you forgot to bring something, the local (and newly remodeled) Tahoma Market is just a short drive or a 10 minute walk. They have great sandwiches too! For coffee drinkers or gelato lovers, check out "Where We Met," a cute little (seasonal) coffee shop just down the street.
During the warm summer days you can relax on the deck while enjoying the serenity of the West Shore, and when it gets chilly outside you can cozy up inside with a roaring fire in the wood burning stove.
A short walk to the beach -- only two blocks away! Provided with your stay is full access to the beach and pier at the Water’s Edge. You can also walk or bike to Sugar Pine Point State Park, or hit the slopes at Homewood Ski Resort less than 3 miles away.
As noted, we are dog friendly, but do charge a flat $100 non-refundable pet fee. If you are bringing you dog(s), when selecting the number of guests, click on the "Yes" button for pets.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin! It had everything we needed and was so comfortable. It was
very clean and well laid out with the 4 bedrooms and
2 baths. We were 4 adults but this cabin could easily
accommodate 8 people. I highly recommend this cabin!

The house is comfortable, the kitchen well organized, it was perfect for our family of 6, under the shade of trees.
We appreciated the walking distance to the small beach to relax after a morning hike.
Instructions for check-in and to keep the house safe vs bears were helpful!
4.8
Great home and great experience! Only negative was no soap or body wash in the showers. Loved the location and the beach access. We will definitely stay again!

The property location was great. The cabin had all the facilities that made our stay comfortable. However, the cabin was not cleaned properly. The couch in the living room had a lot of pet hair and the floors didn’t seem to be mopped. The side tables and bed headboards were little dusty.

This was our first time in Tahoe, and this cabin was perfect. The location was great. The owner and property manager were very helpful and communicated well. Definitely recommend.

Had a great time at Gary’s place. Terry, the property manager, was very helpful as well.
Unfortunately the washing machine broke before our arrival, so we didn’t have access to it during our stay. Terry let us know in advance and both she and Gary were accommodating to our arrival time, even though it was outside the checkin time.
The cabin is great! Plenty of room for our group of 8 that spanned infant to adult. Plus a dog. Board games and a well stocked kitchen.
It’s close to the lake and multiple state parks. We especially liked Sugar Pine Point State Park nearby. There’s also a playground down the street for the kiddos to run out their energy.
Highly recommend!

We loved this house. It was very convenient to popular sites and hikes. The house was cozy with the fireplace and plenty of room. Kitchen was well stocked. We would stay here again.

We are regular guests and we enjoy it on every visit!

The cabin was great in every way. The location is right next to the lake and a market, restaurant/bar, and was a short drive to skiing and sleding.
4.8
Everything was great! The cabin was exactly as the description. Good place, good location between North and South Tahoe.

A big storm came in so our vacation was cut a bit short, but really had a fun time at the cabin. Had a classic cabin feels to it, loved the wood fireplace!
Short drive to Palisades - park at Alpine Meadows if you're going skiing.

Pleasant, well equipped house in a great location. All 4 bedrooms comfortable. We loved being able to access the state park for cross country skiing and having lots of space in the surrounding neighborhood for dog walks. Tahoma Market is great.
Gary (owner) and Tracy (Property Manager) were responsive, helpful and easy to get in touch with. Thank you!

Cozy Tahoe cabin in a great neighborhood.

Perfect option for our group. Comfortable, plenty of bedrooms, everything worked. We’ll be back!

4 full bedrooms. fully outfitted. Not necessarily a ski cabin. more of a general family cabin. Common areas are on the smaller cozy side. Great dog-friendly cabin.

Some friends and I spent the weekend up here in mid November for a little staycation. Place was lovely and everything was so cozy. Communication with the property manager and owner was on point when we ran into an issue. Perfect place to stay if you are looking for a place to stay on the west shore of Tahoe!

We visited this property with 5 adults, my 3yo toddler and my 2 babies, the location was great and the communication with the property manager was good.

Communication was great, location was convenient and the cabin was nice and clean

Gary’s cabin is awesome. The amenities were perfect. This is a great place to disconnect. Thanks Gary!

Our group of 8 adults and one goldendoodle had a wonderful time at the cabin. Plenty of room for the cooks, who appreciated the well stocked kitchen, and a large table to do some crafting on.
Communication with Gary the cabin owner and Tracy the caretaker/housekeeper was great. Really appreciate Gary's flexibility when a few things changed and then changed again. The heads up from both Gary and Tracy about the bear situation in the area was appreciated. We followed all their advice and had no issues at all. And Tracy's recommendation on where to get Pizza's was spot on. They tasted great.
We all agreed, we would stay here again in the future.

House was comfortable. Needs more lighting in the living room. The television cut in and out repeatedly. Some areas of the house needs better cleaning.
4.8
Great location and a lovely cabin. We will rent it again.

Had a great in Lake Tahoe. This cabin is on the California side. We found it to be the perfect location. We were able to get to the North or South Shore for activities. An example is making it to Emerald Bay in about 15 minutes to watch the sun rise.
The cabin itself was great. Tracy called the day before we got there and gave us the lay of the land. She really helped us understand bear etiquette.
The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. A very nice outdoor area to spend time. They also had a number of games that our family enjoyed.
Would love to stay here next time we are in the Lake Tahoe area.

This was our first trip to Lake Tahoe, so I'm unfamiliar with most of the area, but the house served its purpose. Plenty and space and pretty clean for a rental place. Beds were comfortable enough if not plush, and all amenities were good. Nice playground and beach access in walking distance, and well placed to get to hiking and spots in both north and south tahoe. Only complaint is that we could tell a dogs were/are frequently at the property by the smell, but otherwise we were happy!
4.8
The cabin clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen. Close to water.
We would stay here again !!

Good time

Well located, affordable, handles 8 easily, close to Eagle and Cascade Falls hikes. Very much enjoyed the trip, including seeing two bears!
4.8
The house is cozy, clean, and comfortable with enough room for our party of 7. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals for our group. The beach access was close and easy. And communication was on point — Tracy called us ahead of our checkin to give us the bear tips. (And btw, we did see two bears in the neighborhood! So cool!) I highly recommend Gary’s cabin!

We had a wonderful time at this cozy cabin in Tahoma. West shore is so beautiful and low key. There was plenty of space and kitchen was well stocked. Bathrooms very nice with heaters which was nice because unseasonably cold in June. The pier and small beach is just down the street which was great. Tacoma market just down the street, has everything, including awesome huge deli sandwiches and yummy burger and coffee shop down the street as well. We enjoyed awesome hikes and paddling at the lake. Would highly recommend- thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

This was a great place for our small group of 4 adults. We utilized the location of this home to start our ride around the lake and it worked out perfectly. The home is a block from 89 and very close to both Tahoma Market and Chambers Landing. The Small quinessential West Shore cabin was plenty of room and had 4 total bedrooms with 2 baths and are split between two levels. The living area was spacious enough and open and the outdoor deck is tight but plenty of room for a short weekend stay. Thanks Gary for the great place to stay and for the great Communication.

I had family coming over to visit for the first time from the UK. We all loved everything about the cabin. Comfy beds, well stoked kitchen, so close to the lake and Tahoe City. Would 100% stay there again
4.8
This is a great little cabin that offers all the essentials for a great stay with 8 people (2 families). So thankful our dogs were allowed as well. It's hard to find a great spot that is dog friendly. The location couldn't be better. Overall, we had a wonderful time and that Gary for letting us stay at his cabin.
4.8
Communication with the caretaker was smooth and we were able to find the cabin easily. The cabin had everything we expected and needed, but the door locks for the downstairs bathroom could be fixed (currently has a tape on the lock). We were also provided guidelines on how to ensure we keep safe when the bears are roaming around the cabin. Thank you for having us!
4.8
Very nice house, with great kitchen fully equipped for nice dinners.
It is really so sad that skiing in Lake Tahoe became an activity for privileged people. We unfortunately could not offer the ski rental and lift tickets, anymore!
4.8
We had a great weekend at Gary's cabin! It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.
4.8
My wife and 3 young kids really enjoyed are stay. It was located near ski resorts and parks. There was plenty of snow for the kids to play with outside the cabin. The cabin was very clean and kitchen was stocked with essentials in case we forgot something.
4.8
We had a great time at Gary’s cabin. Everything was smooth from communication to check in. Especially appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked and the proximity to the ski resorts and lake. We fit 8 people and 2 dogs comfortably. We would definitely stay again!

we ran out of hot water when we headed back home to take showers together and two of us had to stop in the middle of cold waters.... and waited 45 mins for second round of people to take shower together....
