Excellent location with great view of the river and mountain ranges. Very clean interior and top notch communication/check in process by the owners

This place was perfect size and location for my first solo vacation. The view of the mountains and the river from the deck was beautiful. I also loved the maps and guidebooks that gave reference to where I was and gave fun suggestions on where to go. Check-in and check-out instructions were minimal and simple. I recommend this to any solo travelers.

Great location if you are looking for a secluded area. Approximately 30 minutes from Lake Placid. This was our first time in the Adirondacks. We were there over a long weekend at the end of September and all of our activities and eating were in Lake Placid. Dissappointed there wasn't more eating options near the cabin; however, the scenery during the 30 minute drive was amazing! Cabin was cozy for two people; not much privacy if you have more than one couple. Our Brittany Spaniel was quite comfortable in the cabin and he enjoyed the back yard. The walk down to the river behind the cabin was quite steep, but well worth it. My husband and I are in good health/shape and we had difficulty coming back up. The nights got chilly and the propane heater wasnt turned on yet so we reached out to Gregory and he had someone come out the next morning to turn it on for us. We enjoyed our stay!

We were so sad to leave!! Everything about this property that was listed was exactly the way it was when we arrived. Check-in was the easiest check-in process we have ever experienced! No stress, unpacked and enjoyed!! The property is gorgeous!! The pictures on the rental listing is exactly what we got to see - Gorgeous!! The house was clean, everything was easily accessible (in and outside the house), beautiful home and perfect location, so cozy and fun!! It was perfect for us and our dog. We loved everything about this property and making our getaway vacation from the city life very enjoyable and relaxing. There are so many trailheads and trail paths down to the Ausable River along route 86 close by in each direction that we very easy to get to. So much fun!! We would absolutely rent this property again!!

Nuce place...quiet. Bed is listed as a queen and it is a full which was a bummer. Some cobwebs but overall excellent. Owners came through on a special order of flowers.

As residents of Manhattan, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cabin near Jay, New York. We had a beautiful view of the Ausable River and mountains beyond from the deck. The cabin is well equipped for those who like to cook, and decorated in an inviting array of moose-bear-and-fish motifs. Everything is cheerful and spotlessly clean. Chec- in was easy. We loved the quiet break from city life, the wind in the aspen leaves, the hikes along country trails.

This cabin had everything and more. Location was amazing, view was georgous, loved being so far off of the main road too. We will definitely be back to rent this cabin asap

The perfect little cabin with a view of Ausable River. We wanted for nothing and had easy access to all kinds of outdoor activities - hikes, lazy mountain climbing (aka the drive up Whiteface), canoeing, walks and dinner in Lake Placid. It was the perfect getaway.

This property was perfect for our week long stay in the area. The cabin was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities, and more, that one desires to be comfortable and feel at home. What a breathtaking view of the mountains and river below. We enjoyed morning coffee on the little bench on the property, just taking it all in. A highlight was awakening the first morning to see a deer run across the property, with the mountains as its backdrop….true Adirondack perfection! Best of all, we could have our little dog stay with us, in a place that was clean and beautiful. Thank you, Mary & Greg

We had a great stay. The view and access to the river were amazing and the place was perfect. Close enough to many great outings but a real feel of seclusion.

Very peaceful location to get those zzzs when you’ve hiked all day. Ausable was running fast but we could still take nice dips at the edge. Beautiful views from balcony and gorgeous bench in the corner of property.

We've returned here year after year. The views of the mountains and Au Sable River are outstanding, the location is ideal for activities as well as peaceful quiet when you return home, and having the sound of the river lull you to sleep is second to none. Mary and Greg have thought of everything to make your stay welcoming and comfortable and are very responsive hosts. We're also grateful to be able to bring our dog with us to such a beautiful and clean place. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

This cabin was perfect for a quick getaway to the Adirondacks. We loved the view from the balcony and the path down to the river. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and a short drive to some great hikes and Lake Placid. Our puppy enjoyed exploring down by the river and sitting next to the fire under the stars. Would highly recommend.

The weather during my stay was not the best, so I was doubly grateful to have such a clean, comfortable place to stay with a great view from the deck. I hope to be back.

Unfortunately. due to a medical emergency the cleaning staff was unable to clean the home before we got there. Greg was quick to communicate and graciously refunded us the entire trip because they were unable to get it cleaned. We didn’t actually stay any nights at the property, but would consider booking it again to give it a second try. All things considered, the cabin looked very nice and the property itself is beautiful. Greg is a great host and for that reason I would recommend.

The property was very clean and well stocked with supplies. A very quiet area, we only saw 1 car go by the house in 4 days. We would definitely stay there again.

Property was beautiful. Only down side the walk to the river is more then steep.

We loved the cabin. It was absolutely beautiful and immaculate. The little touches made it feel just like home. The view from the backyard was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the evenings on the balcony. Our senior German Shepherd did have a little trouble with the stairs after a day of hiking, but other than that, I would highly recommend this cabin. The hosts were very responsive to all my questions. The pictures don't do it justice!! 5+ stars.

In addition to being very clean, the property was very peaceful as well. The view of the river and mountains in the background was fantastic, and it was wonderful to be able to bring the pups along for the trip. Despite its secluded location, the cabin is close to the hustle and bustle of town, but still very cozy and comfortable. As we returned from a long day of outdoor activity, we were warm and comfortable. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place and the chance to get away from the city. The cabin was the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. We were able to take in the beauty of the surrounding landscape and unwind. I was very impressed with the owners' kindness and accommodating nature. In my opinion, this is a wonderful place for those seeking a peaceful getaway and I highly recommend it to everyone. Overall, it was a great experience.

My daughter and I had a great weekend away. What a cozy cabin to stay in. It was perfect for us and a short drive to all the things we wanted to see. I would definitely stay here again.

We wanted to take a quick winter getaway, and this place is perfect for such a trip! Clean, cozy, comfortable cabin. The view from the breakfast table is stunning! The cabin is secluded enough for privacy and quiet, but close enough to the bustle of town. The heater looks small, but don't be fooled-- it works very well! We were warm and comfortable after long days outdoors. Our dog felt quite at home, too. She had no trouble napping and exploring the property outside. : ) We snowshoed each morning by Whiteface and at Scott's Cobble. We spent the afternoons walking through town and enjoying the great little shops. We couldn't pass up the "Wanna Waffle" window-- a delicious, warm treat on a cold day. We appreciated how friendly the hosts are, too. A big winter storm was coming into the area, and thy reached out to us via text right away to let us know that the driveway would be plowed by morning so that we could leave safely. We hope to come back again next winter. This is a wonderful place. We had an amazing time.

We loved staying at the cabin and the garage was great to put our vehicle in during the inclement weather. We enjoyed walks on the quiet roads and trails in the area.

The property and hosts were excellent - with a seamless booking and check in. My husband and I took a little weekend away to go skiing at Whiteface Mountain and enjoy the town of Lake Placid. Everything was within 30 minutes of the house and the house itself was clean, cozy and a perfect fit for a couple trip.

We really enjoyed this vacation rental! This is our second reservation and we plan to reserve it again!
