About this house rental
Frogtown Cottage is a quaint and comfortable cottage located in Historic Downtown Savannah. This is a great vacation rental for families and couples wanting to explore Savannah, while still enjoying all the comforts of home. Guests will enjoy the all-new pool and patio! The pool is 13ft x 24ft and varies from 3 to 6.5 feet deep and also offers optional pool heat year-round.
Frogtown Cottage is located close to the Georgia State Railroad Museum, Savannah History Museum, Savannah Children's Museum, Battlefield Memorial Park, the Savannah Visitors Center, and the SCAD Museum of Art. This home is also an excellent option for families visiting SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) as it is very close to Barnard Village, Boundary Hall, Turner House, Eichberg Hall, and The Hive/Dyson House. The home was originally built in 1860 and was used as a home for workers at the nearby Roundhouse for the Georgia Railroad. In fact, there are 2 other worker homes owned by the Coastal Heritage Society next door. Stroll right around the corner to enjoy access to great historic attractions. From the back porch, you can still see the smokestack rising over the area.
The interior of the home offers a living area with a gas fireplace and a flat-screen TV. To the right of the living room, you will find a Queen bedroom that attaches to a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. This bath also opens onto the eat-in kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and stackable washer and dryer. To the left of the living area, there are 2 additional guest bedrooms and an additional full Jack n Jill bath with a walk-in shower. The bedrooms are furnished with a twin bed & a queen bed in one (that opens out to the back porch), and a Queen Bed in the second. Both of these bedrooms have flat-screen TVs. You will also find access to the back porch and fully fenced yard with a private pool from the kitchen. The back deck offers a charcoal grill and table seating for 7.
Frogtown Cottage offers easy access to all of Historic Savannah. Just 2.5 blocks from the cottage, located in front of the Savannah Visitors Center, is a stop for the Fare-Free DOT Express Shuttle. The shuttle serves 11 stops throughout the Historic District and runs every 20 minutes from 11 am - 9 pm 7 days a week. Also, just across the street from the Visitor's Center, on the corner of Liberty and MLK, is Old Savannah Tours which offers an On-Off Tour of the Historic District, we highly recommend. Located 20 minutes away on beautiful Tybee Island.
Guests will also be located only a short 20-25 minute drive to Tybee Island, Savannah's beach. Come out for a day trip to enjoy the beach, fishing, visiting Ft. Pulaski, or climbing Georgia's oldest and tallest lighthouse.
Frogtown Cottage offers an outdoor shower (cold only) perfect for rinsing off before swimming. Wireless Internet/WIFI is available for guest use. On-Street parking only (No off-street parking available). This rental is pet-friendly for one (1) adult dog, with an additional fee. Two (2) Twin rollaway beds are included at home. Guests can add optional pool heat for an additional cost of $25 per day.

The house is a super clean, well maintained home that is centrally located to whether you want to walk to downtown or take a quick car ride to the other islands/beach. We LOVED the pool and the way it’s built up it feels like a personal oasis in the middle of the city. There are no buildings or homes that look in on you in the backyard so it feels very private even though you are in downtown Savannah. The house also has an interesting history dating back to late 1800s and there is even a civil war bunker/barricade one block over. The property managers are easy to contact, very responsive and helped make our stay easy. We absolutely loved every minute!

We roamed about town in the morning and evening and used the pool in the afternoons.

The house was the perfect size and the location was convenient. There is plenty of on street parking. When we arrived on Saturday he pool was filthy and no one came to clean it until Wednesday. We attempted to clean it our selves but the skimmer nets at the house are broken.
There is a hotel across the street and their parking lot is right next to the master bedroom. They have the truck come and empty the dumpster at 6 AM and there is no way it won't wake you up. The second master bedroom doesn't have a TV, which I thought was odd because there is one in the room with the 2 twin beds. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We were very happy with this rental. We had never been to Savannah before and was in a great spot to explore the historic district. It was also easy to have a day trip over to Tybee Island. The pool was a must for our northern cold blood. The pictures make it seem small, but it fit the 6 of us comfortably. Also a well stocked kitchen, and a beautifully renovated master bath.

I own a 5 star VRBO property (1115498) and I know hard it is to maintain and keep your property clean, well equipped, serviced and with the proper amount of extra items to make guests feel welcome. Frogtown hits the mark. John and Tybee rentals do a great job keeping this property nice, comfortable and well appointed. Had some concern about the condition of the sofas and never received any resolution to our requests to fix the kitchen lights (main light in the kitchen wasn’t working when we arrived and it was dark at night if we tried to use the kitchen) but we made due and enjoyed are stay. Kitchen had Everything you could ever need for a rental and was well labeled and maintained. Very clean bedrooms and baths with lots of linens. Great location for Uber or walking anywhere in town. Pool was clean and nice, albeit a little chilly when we were there. I paid $70 to park in the vacant lot behind house but I’m sure you could park on the street for free, where allowed. This property is directly across the street from the beautiful and $$$ Residence Inn. This would be our first consideration for return visits, you’ll love it

We had a great time in Savannah, and enjoyed our stay at Frogmore Cottage. It was clean inside, there was some trash around the pool. The house is in a cute neighborhood; fantastic coffee shop and Cuban restaurant very close. We also walked to a great wine shop and brought back a pizza from Mellow Mushroom. And the pool. You can’t do Savannah without a pool! We didn’t get to check in until 20-25 minutes after the specified time, so that was annoying because we were stuck outside in the heat. A few things didn’t work while we were there, and they could invest into some decent pillows for the beds, but the rental company was SO prompt to answer, we couldn’t believe how fast they were! Would we stay here again? Absolutely!!

This cute house has a great location, comfortable beds & a beautiful pool. My family & I went with our two dogs- all stay was very relaxing & the dogs loved the freedom of the fenced in backyard.
As for dining, this kitchen has all of the appliances/tools you need, but there is a delicious Cuban restaurant a block away. Many other restaurants are a 10 minute walk.
My family and I are already deciding when to return- we loved it!!!!

There were three sets of siblings staying for a wedding in the family. We all had our own rooms, super comfortable. We were within walking distance or a short drive to everything we wanted to do. We wished we had more time to use all the amenities, including the pool. A few little bottles of shampoo could have been used but we made do! We’ll be back.

Best family stay in Savannah!
This property was wonderful! Exceptionally clean, private pool perfect for our family of 5, within walking distance of everywhere we went in Savannah, besides the Savannah Bananas baseball game! The guest book had great recommendations from the owners and a bit about this historic house and area that we really enjoyed reading. We were provided with all the staples we needed... we didn't have to run out for toilet paper or paper towels during our 5 day stay! Tybee Vacation Rentals managed the property and they contacted us prior to and during our stay to make sure all was well. This was an absolute gem of a place to stay!

The property was clean and exactly as advertised. The accommodations were perfect for the 6 of us. The location of the house was in a very comfortable neighbor and was great for walking and or a reasonably priced Uber to River Street. Highly recommend!

Early fall
House is smaller than appears which still worked for my family. We paid 75 for pool heat 3 days. Arrived leaves on surface and bottom of pool and heat not ready. I emptied filter and removed surface leaves...it's fall. When I disturbed the leaves at bottom I found dirt was covering the entire ottom surface. So called rental agency and was told couldn't help due to system down.House is fine forget it has a pool. Corn hole sacks and board filthy too.

Not Family friendly - not as advertised, do not stay here, not worth the price.
Homeless people camping out next door, broken shower, off street parking means on the grass and getting blocked in, barbed wire fence surrounding backyard, pictures of property and house are very old and house does not show anything like listing, house and furniture are old and worn and not well maintained. Don’t stay here if you are traveling with you family. And if it just you and someone else, there are many other options. I have plenty of pictures of everything I stated.

Great Spot for a Group of Friends
This was a great location and a great set up for 3 couples on a long weekend trip to Savannah! The pool was GREAT and everything was clean. This was one of the best stocked rental homes we had ever stayed at. Easy walking distance to Forsyth Park and about a 20 minute walk to the major tourist areas. Incredibly easy check in and check out via text message- and easy clean up and house rules. We really enjoyed our stay!

Friend’s getaway
The home was great and enjoyed its location to local restaurants and bars. The private backyard made it feel like suburb house in the city. Our only complaints was pool water was murky and pump not functioning at arrival. They had pool company come to fix it early next morning. The bedroom doors were also baffled which made lack of bedroom privacy. We had a great time and would stay again.

Property is a truly a hidden gem. Deceivingly Beautiful. Great location. All the best and necessary ammenities from soaps to dish pacs; just bring food and go! :)
Only issues we had was - the pool wasnt properly ready for us- it needed to have water addedd and chlorine so we had to get the pool company over and missed 1 day in the pool. & (no fault of the owners)- but the house nextdoor is abandoned so we did have to call the police for a homeless person who was peeping over and sleeping at that location.
Walking distance to so much! Working pool was great for the kids and backyard was serene. Only 30 min from tybee island if looking for beach access.
I would DEFINITELY stay again!

Super clean and adorable cottage set back in a very quiet area. We live in Savannah and did a stay cation. We were so surprised at how quaint and adorable this place was in a hidden area. The yard is PERFECT for a quiet pool escape. We would love to come back again.

Beautiful home & location
This house was perfect for our weekend in Savannah. Plenty of space, clean, and gorgeous backyard. Within walking distance to most anything downtown. The only time we had to drive was to Tybee Island. Having a parking space was great. The only thing missing was the personal touches of an owner managed home, but that’s completely personal preference. Regardless, I would definitely stay at this property again.
