Nestled in Ozark Mountains, this attractive cabin for $160 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Ellen's log cabin is 2 and a half story's. It starts with a large covered porch that looks over the valley, a great place for your morning coffee. Walk into the living room with a cathedral ceiling and stairs that lead to the loft. The loft is where the master bedroom is located with an en suite bathroom. Back to the first floor is a full kitchen with a large walk out deck that is actually in the trees. This deck has a large table for outdoor eating and charcoal BBQ grill for grilling. Remember to bring charcoal and lighter fluid. The lower floor has 2 bedrooms, family room (which doubles as another private bedroom) and full bathroom. From the family room you walk out to a private lower deck with a hot tub and seating. A fire pit is in the back yard surrounded by woods, very private. Do not worry about where to buy the wood for your fire, we provide it with your cabin. We rent Ellen's by the bedrooms needed. The more guest, the more bedrooms set up with linens and towels. You do not share the cabin with strangers. The rate you see here is one of our seasonal rates for a couple. Additional guest is $25. per guest per night. We offer the couple rate so, a couple can come and stay without paying for all the bedrooms.

Nice, clean cabin. Our reason for booking the cabin was for the hot tub. We booked 2 nights. The hot tub was unusable the first night due to the host adding water right as we were checking in. It took all that day and all night to get the hot tub heated up to a normal temperature. So beware. You may or may not get to use the hot tub. It should have been checked prior to our day of arrival. Also beware that there are 2 very steep flights of stairs. One steep stairs going up to the loft bedroom. One very steep set of stairs going down to the hot tub. We were pretty disappointed in our stay.

We stayed here this past weekend and everything about the cabin was amazing! It's not too far of a drive to town and such a peaceful area. Hot tub was amazing! Definitely will come back!

Beautiful cabin in the woods! The setting is gorgeous and close to hiking a great hiking trail. The kitchen was stocked with sufficient cookware, utensils, dishes (although we couldn't find measuring cups). The hot tub was heavenly and we were blessed one night with spectacular views of and the Milky Way!

We loved our stay at Ellen’s cabin, we went for hiking and relaxing and that is just what we got. There are multiple hiking trails within 30 miles and the cabin was so peaceful. The backyard where the hot tub and fire pit are were surrounded by trees which made it very private.

Two friends and I met up for a float, and a hike in beautiful Steelville. Ellen’s cabin was a perfect retreat. Ver clean and cozy with plenty of room. The hot tub is a lovely bonus.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is between St James and Steelville. Just down the road is a river crossing you can swim or float at. The property is nice and private. Listing is how it is described. Check in and check out are very easy.

This is the second time we've stayed at this cabin. We will continue to stay here as long as it's available! It's so comfortable and cozy. Easy to find, amenities are great. We've rented this cabin for float trips during the summer, but we may even rent this cabin during winter months. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home- would definitely stay again. The only thing keeping it from perfection was the heavy dust on the ceiling fans and rafters- normally you would not notice but the overlook from the upstairs to the living room has you looking right at it- this has to be the only oversight because everything else was fantastic- The jacuzzi was relaxing and enjoyable- we slept great. Thank you for a nearly perfect stay.

Cozy cabin not far from shopping and wineries. Enjoyed rafting down the Mermac river. Nice place for a vacation or long weekend. Plenty to do in the surrounding area’s.

We enjoyed our week in this awesome cabin. Used the hot tub everyday. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything you need is there. It rained most days, but we played the games and watched the movies. Thanks for sharing the cabin, Cindy.

Perfect option to 100% relax and hear nature. Quiet, especially evening/night time. Comforable all the way around. Lower back deck sits the tub surrounded by a tree canopy. At night, it doesnt any better.

We had an easy enough time finding and getting in. We drove in from Chicago for a too short weekend trip. It was very private and relaxing. We really enjoyed the space and all of us would love to come back for longer.

My fiance and I stayed the weekend for a valentine getaway. Very nice cabin with everything that you need. Location is great, close to the town of Steelville and also St.James. Will definitely be returning in the summer with our kids to take advantage of the river access and float rental that is about a mile down the road from the cabin. Thank you for sharing it with us!

We rented this cabin as an anniversary getaway. It was a really nice cabin. The location was private and the cabin was clean. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. And the mineral hot tub was wonderful. So nice to not smell a bunch of chlorine while soaking. They had everything we needed.

We loved this sweet cabin. Spent lots of time front porch sitting, in the hot tub, walking down the quiet road. Beds and furniture comfortable. Great TV and fast wifi for working. Clean! Everything we needed. Property manager kind and responsive. And let us bring our poodle which made our week perfect! Highly recommend this property.

Cabin was clean and well equipped (but you need a new can opener). The location was great. We highly recommend Peaceful Bend Winery. The privacy was nice. The cabin needs some updating considering the price. We had a great time.

Layout of bedrooms was strange. Two in the basement which was dark and not inviting. Best bedroom is upstairs and the stairs are steep and hard to see because they are blond wood that blend into each other. For an older adult I consider them dangerous.

We had a nice weekend visit to Ellen's log cabin. It was a little farther to my son's wedding venue in St James than I expected, but it was able to accommodate 7 people. I wish we had been there to visit our favorite trout fishing spot because it was very close to that. I would definitely stay there again.
