About this house rental
This 3 bedroom, 2 bath beach home has an open floor plan conducive to family living. The kitchen and living area feature 2 double glass sliding doors providing endless views of the Mississippi Sound and Dauphin Island Bridge. The master suite features a queen size bed and includes an attached full bath. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms both feature queen size beds and bunk beds accommodating 4 easily. They share a full bathroom located between the 2 rooms.
This peaceful beach home is located on the Mississippi Sound where the serene sound of water fowl, wave action, and childhood laughter combine with a view of the Dauphin Island Bridge, marvelous sunrises and spectacular sunsets to make this the perfect vacation destination for any family. Come relax on the deck overlooking the Sound or enjoy a nice walk on the beach while the children build sand castles, collect seashells, and splash in the water.
If the sandy white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are calling your name take a short stroll across Bienville Blvd. to access the gulf water.

We had a great stay here! The place is beautiful- just like the pics! Being on the bay side was nice for the days the beach waters were to rough. There is a ladder to get in the water behind the house which was a nice bonus, made getting in and out a breeze! Kids were able to play in the water (it’s very shallow) while the men grilled. And the outdoor shower was nice for getting all of the beach sand off at the end of the day.
There were only a few towels, would have liked some more, but having the washer and dryer helped allot. Kitchen fully stocked with everything needed.
Would absolutely stay again!

We came to check my daughter into the sea lab to spend the summer. The house was perfect. You do have to meet the owner at the local walmart to get the keys. Which is different but he was very nice and told us about places to visit and things to do. You had to bring your own sheets but that was no big deal for us. We would rent from them again.

Bay behind home was like being on the beach. Shallow water with no waves, kids went swimming and saw lots of marine life(mostly hermit crabs and some dolphins)

We enjoyed our short stay on Dauphin Island and at Nonnie’s Place. The short walk to the beach was easy and pleasant. The kitchen served our needs well. The bed was comfortable and bringing our own sheets was just fine. Nice to have laundry available and easily accessible. The back deck was comfortable and caught the sunset just enough.

We enjoyed this location very much. Our kids loved the sand behind the house, and the gulf side was just across the block. We had several days of poor weather, so we werent able to enjoy the water as much as we wanted, but we would love to come back here.

The house was comfortable. We needed to bring sheets, towels, pillowcases wasn't a big deal, just not used to that. Everything was very easy and smooth. Communication was great! The only thing that stood out to me was having to sign a contract when I met with the owners, I feel like I didn't have time to read it and was rushed. I would have preferred to have had it over email to read and sign and return before arrival. We had lots of storms and the house sways with the wind. It was a little scary at first. We got used to it. Clean up at the end was easy and there were lots of cleaning supplies. We were able to leave our condiments so I didn't feel as though everything went to waste. Thank you!! We would love to return!

Our stay was unforgettable. We had so much fun sitting on the back deck watching the water and birds. Not to mentioned the sunrises and sunsets which are stunning. We would definitely recommend this place!

This was our 2nd time staying at Nonnie’s place and it was just as perfect this time! The owners are super friendly and helpful. The house is in the perfect location and very comfortable. We booked another visit for June and can’t wait to go back!

Perfect location and love the set up of the home! Outside shower was great and the location is walking distance to a public beach that’s not crowded! This is my third time staying at this spot and it’s a favorite for sure!

The home was in a wonderful location. My sisters and I enjoyed the decks, the views and the peaceful quiet area. The home and furnishings are dated but its still a nice place to stay. The part I did not like was the fact that I had to meet the owner at another location to obtain the key. It was super inconvenient. And I was not provided with the "rules" of the house until that meeting and had to sign a contract then and there without having had the opportunity to review the contract prior to meeting with the owner. None of this was made known to me until the day before check-in. I would not rent the property again because of these issues.

We've taken quite a few short vacations,and I've got to say even though Dauphin island doesn't have much as far as tourist attractions we loved it. We don't live far from Dauphin island,but it was really nice to stay for a few days,and this place was the absolute perfect place to stay at,clean,by the water,a small beach close by,and the big beach is just a little walk away,or it's the perfect place to ride a bike,and the most important part for me No body bothers you because it's not crowded like most of the other places we go like Gulf Shores,or Orange Beach.And the people that own this place are absolutely great host,we wanted to stay longer but they had maintenance work to do on the place so maybe next time.

Only complaint would be that I didn't know to bring soap and a few other things were very low. Also, wish I had a broom to sweep floors! But, we really enjoyed and seen Tig the cat!

This was my second time staying here. We enjoyed everything sitting on front deck watching boats seeing 🐬 dolphin walking on the beach and the food was very good. We ate at most of the restaurants Took the ferry ride went to Ft Gaines. Overall a great vacation.

We had a wonderful time at this property. The location is amazing as you have the beautiful MS sound out the back and its beautiful views and then the beach is a just a short walk away. We definitely plan to visit again!

Nonnie's Place was perfect ❤️ I can not say enough about this place. It's so family friendly. The house is on the bay side, less waves, which is perfect for our younger children (3 and 6). The dolphins came so close while we were in the water. Unforgettable memories!!! If you are looking for a calm and quiet vacation this is your spot!!!! We will definitely be back.

This was the perfect house for our family. This was a Senior trip and family vacation all in one. We've been to Dauphin Island a few times but always camped. We decided this time to get a house. 100% would book this house again. Thanks for the awesome house.

We had such a wonderful time and we would stay here again. Not to run the little house down just some things you might want to know before you check in. Don't expect anything fancy! Furniture old and kitchen accessories were very minimal. Closets in two bedrooms are locked so there's nowhere to hang clothes. The clothes rack in the master bedroom can't hold many clothes because it's a pvc pipe that bends in the middle. There is an iron but no ironing board. Miniblinds on the windows are falling apart. The beds are comfortable. The sunrise and sunset on the balcony were amazing we saw dolphins and sharks. We walked a very short walk to the beach. Our children had a lot of fun playing right below our balcony in the sand. The owners we met for the keys were very friendly.

We’ve stayed here twice now over spring break and can’t say enough about it. The best feature of the house is the deck facing the sound. We love to have our morning coffee out there. And the sunset view is unbeatable and perfect for an evening drink after supper. We fished off the lower deck this year too! The beach to either side of the house is perfect for walking and exploring for shells or crabs. We love the island and Nonnie’s Place and can’t wait to come back!

Myself and my 2 teenage kids visited Nonnie's Place. The view from the main room and deck were incredible. The house was very clean and just perfect for us. Charles and Dede were very kind and easy to work with! Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends/family.
