Permit #211346. 100 yards to the beach! Sleeps 6 + 4 children under age eight. Located on 16th Ave., between downtown Capitola and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, situated to take advantage of all the great attractions Santa Cruz area has to offer. 100 yard walk to Sunny Cove beach!

WALK to Starbucks, restaurants (Aloha Grill, Microbrewery, Lago Di Como, Taqueria, Windmill Cafe and more!) Sunday Farmers Market, Black Point Market Deli and some of the best beaches in Santa Cruz! Beautiful, upscale neighborhood.
BEACHES a short walking distance: The house has easy access to three popular beaches one of which, Sunny Cove Beach, is less than 100 yards from our front door. SUNNY COVE is known as the best boogie boarding beach in Santa Cruz!
Black's beach, Twin Lakes, Santa Maria's beach (19th Ave) and 21st Ave beach.
Crow's Nest restaurant @ The Harbor beach and Pleasure Pt beaches are less than a mile away. Slightly longer, but doable walk.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Downtown Capitola are both 3 miles away offering fun, food and shopping! Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor is less than a mile away offering kayak & paddle board rentals or dining at the Crow's Nest with Harbor views.
Nisene Marks State Park is a short 15 min drive and ideal for biking and hiking. Don't forget about the great Santa Cruz Mountain Wineries available for tours and tasting all year long.

This well laid out, 1500 sq ft single family home sleeps 6 adults and 4 children. This three bedroom* two bathroom beach house is located in a beautiful, quiet, upscale neighborhood and is ideal for a family vacation. Added features include an enclosed atrium complete with an indoor BBQ and a wet bar. The garage is always the center of activity with a pool table, foosball table, and a 22 ft. vintage shuffleboard table. The backyard has a hot and cold outdoor shower for getting the sand off after a day at the beach. Courtyard in front of the house is perfect for afternoon BBQ and cocktails.

I’ll start by the positives. 1. Good communicating. 2. The property is in a good location 3. Games/beach toys/boogie boards provided. I would not stay at this property again. Probably one of my least liked VRBO rentals I’ve stayed. The owners do not seem to take any pride in property. Pictures show much better than property. Here’s why I wouldn’t stay again: 1. No A/C. Didn’t realize this when booking. House is extremely hot in day. Advised to keep all windows open for airflow. Not safe. 2. On busy road. Another reason not safe to leave all windows open. 3. Appliances are extremely outdated/barely operable. Stove doesn’t conduct proper heat. Laundry and dishwasher are extremely old, slow cycles. No ice maker in fridge. 4. Both king beds are uncomfortable. Futon beds are as uncomfortable as they come. 5. 2nd bathroom location is not located near any of the living quarters. Toilet barely flushes and comes with warning sign that you will be responsible for plumbing cost if something happens. 6. Sunroom is furnished with uncomfortable furniture/not really useable. 7. Garage floor is gross. Needs paint or something. Giant blood stain on concrete near pool table. Family didn’t really use room for this reason. 8. Kitchen countertop needs new grout/sealer. Impossible to clean. Grout is brown/porous to invite bacteria. If not updating kitchen, this is least property owners could do. 9. Cove nearby was filled with garbage debris & swampy..Had to drive to beaches we could enjoy.

Property was great. Good central location for what we had planned. Game room was fun to come home to at night. Awesome trip. Property manager’s communication was great, thanks Carrie.

House and location had something for every age range. Sand and toys were close for the 9yr old, Boardwalk and Starbucks for the teenagers, all the games (pool table, schuffle board, foozball for the adults (and kids). And for me at 77, a little time to just watch the ocean. We had a wonderful time.

Has everything you need for your family. Game room, board games, clean rooms, fully stocked cabinets with towels, shampoo/conditioner, pots/pans, utensils, spices. Perfect getaway home. Thank you!

We had a wonderful Spring Break stay in Ansel's Getaway. The house is perfect for a family with kids. It is well stocked and clean. We enjoyed the game room everyday! The location is ideal and walking distance to many beaches, grocery and lovely farmers market. Carrie is a wonderful host and is very thoughtful and responsive. We would go there again.

We were looking for a quick family getaway to Santa Cruz and were so lucky to find this house. It was clean, close to the beach, spacious and the game room was a huge bonus. We had a blast!

besides Carrie being the most welcoming owner ever, there was so much to applaud about her home...Starbucks is literally next door - well 1 1/2 blocks away - but still the beauty of early mornings at the coast when its still dewey and you can stroll to get coffee is a perk...sundays there is a farmers market ACROSS THE STREET that has honey, kombucha, French pastries, Italian pastries, full coffee bar, fresh pasta and sauces, flowers, produce and the list goes on...you can either walk to two great beaches...one is secluded and cozy the other great for boogie boarding and sand games...the corner market has anything you could need from local vendors along with homemade Mexican delights...but the house...airy and homey...a sunroom you can drink that lovely morning coffee and eat your pastries...three full sized futons that fold out...two bedrooms tucked away for privacy...loved the pocket doors that gave an extra amount of privacy and kept sound out for sleepers...the kitchen has anything you'd need to cook away from home...large tvs that had all your apps you use at home to watch your shows...but the garage...lets dwell on the garage...a full sized bar quality old fashioned shuffleboard, a gorgeous pool table and foosball table...old radio on the wall for just enough music you can all sing to...open the garage door to watch the world go by and get that afternoon cross breeze you'll be longing for...if youre lucky you'll see the Capitola Fire Dept go by on their rounds and wave
