This home has over 200+ fantastic guest reviews. It offers the best location in Michigan City! You'll have plenty of space to enjoy all that Michigan City has to offer. Only a few barefoot steps to the sandy path and the best beach on Lake Michigan. You're just up the street from Washington Park Zoo and the Oasis Splash Pad, as well as Washington Park, the Amphitheater, and the Marina. This house sleeps up to 12 with 3 bedrooms - two with queen beds and one with twin bunk over double bed with a trundle. There are two foldout couches in the living room - a queen and a twin. There is also a foldout queen couch in the basement. Plus an additional twin over double bunk bed with trundle in the basement. There are two full bathrooms with modern amenities. With hardwood floors throughout, the sunroom/living room and the bright, sunny kitchen provide plenty of space to enjoy quality family time. Outdoor patio for grilling and outdoor dining. Side yard has ample space for games and relaxing after a day at the beach. Side patio with table/umbrella, seating for 6 and a gas grill (propane provided). And, after the sun goes down, enjoy sitting around the fire pit (firewood provided) under the stars or head indoors and play a game of pool or air hockey. Any time of day, relax on the front deck and soak in some sun. We provide firewood for the fire pit. WIFI throughout. Smart TVs are ready for you to log into your streaming service. For traditional fun, there are books, board games and a pool/air hockey table to enjoy when you're not on the beach or out and about exploring the area. The house has central air conditioning and also features beautiful screened windows. Plenty of street and driveway parking is available for several cars. Three mountain bikes are provided for touring the area as well. Families with children will appreciate the proximity to the beach and side yard to play. Dogs are welcome, with owner approval and additional deposit. LaPorte County Parks, Indiana Dunes State Park and Friendship Gardens all welcome dog walking. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils, pots and pans and necessities available to create a gourmet meal - just bring your groceries. The additional features to help make your stay easier are included - coffee maker/filters, Keurig, toaster, crock pot, blender. Bath towels, linens, and beach towels are provided. The basement laundry room has washer and dryer. Dish soap, hand soap, and paper towels are also available. To make your beach visit easier, beach chairs, a wagon, life jackets, toys and a cooler are provided. Aside from the beautiful beach, there is so much to see and do in Michigan City including the Lighthouse Outlet Mall, Blue Chip Casino, weekly Saturday farmers' markets all summer, concerts in the park, Friendship Gardens, Indiana Dunes National Park, U-pick orchards as well as the historic Old Lighthouse Museum and the Barker Mansion. Plenty of golf, bike trails, restaurants, breweries, wineries, and other attractions await! Cyclists will enjoy the newly extended Singing Sands bike trail through the city from the Calumet Trail. You can ride from the Indiana Dunes to Memorial Park. Owners are flexible for bookings and look forward to sharing this wonderful home for the perfect beach getaway!

This is our 3rd time staying here and we will definitely be back next year. Property is always clean, the beds are comfy, the showers are great. Access to the beach is super convenient. We love coming to Michigan City, but love coming back to this house even more. Definitely recommend this property.

We had a wonderful week at this home that is in a great location right next to the convenient path over the dune to the beach. When we arrived the home was impeccably clean and we were impressed at how nice the bathrooms are. The kitchen is well stocked and made eating in easy. The beach equipment provided was everything we could possibly need. The basement was a fun extra with a combo pool/air hockey table. Overall we loved it and hope to come back.

this is a cute and super clean house and very close to the beach. a ton of beach stuff- sand toys, floats, chairs, etc there and we really did not need to bring our own. the backyard area is actually fully fenced in which we didnt realize but was so nice for our kids and dog. the host was very accommodating and gave us a let check out when our dog ended up needing to stay at the emergency vet in the area.

We love staying here every year! I can’t imagine a better way to start our summer break. I appreciate the responsiveness of the host, the cleanliness and spaciousness of the home, and the amazing proximity to the lake. It’s perfect for a family getaway, especially for young children. It keeps us coming back every year!

Our family enjoyed a weekend stay with direct beach access, in addition to its prime location, the home is well equipped to keep the entire family entertained in comfort. Loved the bright and modern kitchen and bathrooms. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. Would love to return for warmer weather.

We have rented this house several times now for visit to my brother-in-law‘s. It’s nice to have a place to decompress and just hang out without feeling like we are imposing ourselves on my brother-in-law. The location at the beach is great. Even in the winter and early spring, we always take several walks on the beach. And enjoy the outdoor space. The house provides. A nice fire in the evening to just sit and talk is always a wonderful memory. We will definitely stay again. Next time. We are in town!

Perfect size home for our family of six. Home had everything we needed. Beach chairs and firewood were included which was nice. Clean house and comfy beds. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. We really enjoyed the pool table and air hockey.

We had an amazing time at this home. They had everything we needed and then some. We had 2 teen girls as we were celebrating a birthday. They stayed in the lower level and had plenty of room to sleep, roam and hang out. My favorite place was the sunroom with those HUGE windows. Weather was not the greatest so we didn't use the fire pit. But we may just have to come back in the summer when weather is warmer and actually spend some time at the beach too. Overall it was a great stay!

This is the 2nd year that we stayed here for our girls’ trip. There were 6 of us this year and we were all very comfortable. The walk to the beach is so convenient. There are plenty of umbrellas, chairs, and floaties for you to use. The kitchen is well equipped and there are 2 kinds of coffee makers. I would definitely recommend!

2nd time staying here with our adult children and 3 grandchildren. The house is exactly as advertised. Clean and roomy with a large basement space. It is a 2 min walk over the dune to the beach. A plastic walkway has been added over the dune since our last stay, which makes walking to beach so much easier. They provided plenty of sand toys for the kids, about 5 or 6 beach chairs, a wagon to load, a cooler with wheels and a couple of beach tents and umbrellas for shade, and a couple of blow up tubes. Made it very easy to lug stuff for 6 adults and 3 kids to beach. They also had 3 or 4 bikes in the garage, though we enjoyed the beach so much we never get out on those.
Used the pack n play for the baby, it was in practically brand new shape. Just brought a sheet from home for it.
This is a great house for a family with small kids as it is an easy walk back and forth with the little ones and all your beach stuff. The18 month old walked the whole way.
We enjoyed the new firepit area a few evenings and as requested by the 5 year old roasted hotdogs over the fire for lunch one day.
My only suggestion would be some additional plastic stack chairs, and another outside table to sit a few more people for outside eating, as the house accomidates 12, and the outside table accomidates 6. We did find an extra plastic table in the garage and some bag chairs, so we made it work.
Doug and Shelia are very accomidating and respond quickly. We are looking forward to coming back.

Great location for our family gathering and just steps away to a lovely Lake Michigan beach. Our hosts were very responsive, the home was as they presented it, and it was clean, spacious, and well furnished. We recommend the hosts, the home, and the area to anyone looking for a lovely get-away!

Very clean house and easy access to beach! Plenty of room for our kids and grandchildren! The zoo is literally down the street from the house! We made so many wonderful memories!

Host advertised A/C as an amenity. Unfortunately, during our stay, the A/C never seemed to be working properly. Upon arrival (mid-afternoon), inside the property was very warm (78 degrees), and would never get cooler than 72 degrees, even at night. There is an attic fan, but other than making alot of noise, it did not provide any additional comfort.
After a day at the beach, a cool and comfortable place to relax in would have been nice.
Perhaps there is an issue with the A/C, that the Host is not aware of.

Third time staying here for our end-of-the-school year and start of summer vacation! We were really able to take advantage of the beach this year and were impressed by the quality of the shade tent and beach wagon available for guests. The fire pit and grill were both enjoyed. We love walking to the park and zoo even with our little ones (ages 2-8). The house easily accommodates several small families and we are all making amazing family memories every time we stay! We will continue to book our annual trip 1 year in advance to make sure we don’t miss out on this perfect rental!

this home is conveniently located near the beach and it’s well supplied with equipment with which we enjoyed picnicking in the evenings watching the sunset while having dinner. Their bikes are well cared for and easy to use to exploring the area and frequent nearby parks and restaurants. The home spotless with quality appliances. Although there are only two full bathrooms, they are nicely uprated and spacious. The hosts respond within an hour, if not minutes, to our messaging. I would love to return someday.

It was a great property for our multi-family get away. It was a lovely house with tons of amenities for the beach. We only had two small issues, unrelated to the home. Someone rifled through two unlocked cars, but nothing was stolen. Just be sure to lock your vehicles. It is near tall grass and we found a tick in our bed when we first got there. Again, not related to the home, you just need to realize you are near nature, which is what we wanted!

Overall the stay was amazing! So many different places to hang out in the house and a lot of different things to do. The views of the beach from inside the house made it amazing. The only downfall was that we had dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we got to the house and the downstairs shower didnt work. However, the property manager handled this right away.
