Ma'alaea Surf, Unit C1 is deluxe in every sense. C1 is a conveniently located ground floor unit, just steps from the small pool. This unit is splendidly furnished. It features, central AC, complimentary Wifi, TV, fully furnished kitchen, convenient parking, complimentary tennis and pickelball, with washers?dryers onsite.
Enjoy ocean front outdoor living on your large private patio (lanai) with enough seating for 6. The beautiful beaches fronting the property offers not only spectacular views but also outstanding swimming, snorkeling and kayaking and are perfect for leisurely walks or jogging. The maximum occupancy allowed in this unit is 6. All units at Maalaea Surf are non-smoking.

Such an amazing spot! We had an issue with the dishwasher and tub and both were dealt with promptly. the twin bed mattresses were both very uncomforatble. The king mattress was fantastic.

Took care of a refrigerator problem with multiple options but had it fixed before we arrived. The grounds were beautiful and the new Pickleball courts were awesome. This resort & unit was exactly what we wanted. Great location, clean, right-on beach that is great for kids and adults alike. Grounds very clean & so easy to get to other units that other family were staying in. The refrigerator wasn't working correctly the management responded quickly and let us place our food in another unit's refrigerator until the fixed it. They even gave us an unexpected refund for our inconvenience.

Spotlessly clean, plenty of kitchen space and tools, excellent communication with management, beautiful grounds, such easy and convenient access to a great swimming/walking beach!!! Nice to have two pullout sofas in the living room for two independent adults. Walk to Shave Ice and ABC Store, easy drive to groceries and fruit stands. Easy parking. Nice to be in a low-rise building! Furniture was comfortable, attractive, efficient, easy to move as necessary. Great open gathering space. We loved it!

Spacious condo in a great location. Immaculate grounds, great beach for long strolls in either direction. No washer and dryer in unit was a bit inconvenient for our large group of 6 (trying to hang wet towels to dry between uses) but otherwise very comfortable. We also experienced some problems with ants that took almost our whole stay to get under control.

Ground floor unit, close to pool and oceanfront view, a bit noisy in the early A.M., but peaceful and quiet during the day and night. The bathroom in the primary bedroom will not accommodate a large person, or mobility challenged individual, with its awful layout. Both baths need our opinion, the ambiance of the Ma’alaea Surf cannot be beat. We enjoyed Coconuts, Times Supermaarket, and trying Maui e foil surfing.

We love this resort & you can’t beat the functionality of these units! So nice to walk strait out onto the grass and beach rather than staying at a larger resort. Condos are spacious and well appointed. This unit (C-1) feels less updated than others, but still works great. Only thing missing is a hot tub at the resort but still our favorite spot on Maui!

A recent flood has prompted new paint,cabinets and furniture which were all desperately needed. We have stayed in this same unit several years in a row, mainly due to location and a excellent property management team. It is not the fanciest condo but very convenient. The air conditioner is noisy and needs to be replaced with energy efficient mini splits

We loved our stay at Ma'alaea Surf! The condo was recently remodeled with a new kitchen and all new modern furnishings. C-1 is an end unit with no one above you and high ceilings. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and beach chairs, a cooler and sand toys are stored in the closet.The landscaping at Ma'alaea Surf is stunning and the low density makes this resort quite special. We'll be back!

Our family of 4 had the best time at Ma'alaea Surf this summer. The grounds are beautiful, the beach is amazing with such soft sand, and of course our kids were obsessed with the pools. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Maui.

My family of 5 adults stayed at this property for 5 lovely days. The resort is beautiful with a beach for walking and swimming just a few steps from the lanai. The pools are warm and clean. Plus, the outdoor shower is great for a quick rinse after swimming in the ocean. The lawns and flowers of the resort are kept up by the most meticulous gardeners. The view from the lanai is the ocean and beach. Plus, being on the ground floor was perfect to walk directly to the beach from the lanai. Also, the "farmers market" that is a short walk down the beach is a great place to get local vegetables, fruits, homemade bagels, and other goodies make in Maui.
I would say the only think we found disappointing was the dated and somewhat shabby condition of the condo interior. There was a tile in the bathroom that had fallen off the wall and was just set against the wall. The master bath of which there is no photo, was stained and clearly needed an update. The sleeping arrangements are fine for 4, but the couch as a sleeper is not an option for an adult as it's really uncomfortable. The owners could take care to do a few upgrades or show pictures to clearly help people know what to expect. I would certainly go back to the resort, but may look for a different condo to stay in.

This condo was perfect for us as we could walk outdoors without having to negotiating stairs. Our favorite activities were readily available: beach walking and shuffleboard. The condo is within walking distance to a fruit stand, bakery and coffee shop. The kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation and dining. We enjoyed visiting with other guests. This condo is situated in an ideal spot, centrally located on the Island. Hope to stay at this same location another time in the future.

It was very clean. The grounds were lush and well kept. Our unit was perfect for our family of 4. Everything that you could ever think of was provided in the kitchen, you just have to. It your own food. We visited the second week of dec so it was not busy at all. You want to go have a quiet peaceful vacation with your family then this is your place. We came across a few owners and all of them were such nice and friendly people. The weather didn't cooperate at all during outer stay but that has nothing to do with the resort itself. One thing I wished they had was heated pools. This feature definently will impact our decision of revisiting and if visiting again we would pick months that were hot. Aparently nov-feb is wet Maui season. We weren't aware of that. We spent a lot of time indoors bc of the rain and even if it didn't rain it was cloudy and the ocean and pool water would be too cold to go in.

We love Maui, and have come to view Ma'alaea Surf Resort as our "home away from home." The grounds are peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable, with a walk-out beachfront and easy access to other parts of the island. Each unit is different, with some more recently updated than others.
Unit C1 is tucked back further from the ocean than most, but still has a nice view, and we love the ground-floor lanai. It's spacious, with two bedrooms, and the kitchen is remarkably well-equipped for a rental unit. The only small downside is that the main path to the southern section of the property traverses immediately in front of the lanai, but the installation of mirrored film on the glass improves privacy greatly, as long as the doors are shut. The up side is that we can say "Hello" to many of our neighbours, if we want, as they pass by while we are outside.
Also, there is no one directly above this unit, making it quieter than most of the ground-floor units, which is also a plus.
We would stay here again.
