About this cottage rental
Located in Rehoboth Beach, this lovely cottage for $171 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Our 2024 rental season starts in May and runs through the first week of Oct. We book on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis. We are now accepting reservations for 2024. Only the following week is currently available for '24. If you don't see a week listed, it's probably because it's being booked but one of our many repeat visitors. Aug 10-Aug 17 As you can see, we are filling up fast. We are a Vrbo “Premier Host". This means a quick response, COVID procedure followed, and excellent post-stay reviews from renters. Max occupancy is 3, but we find the comfort level works best with just two. Exciting news for our renters. We've replaced the living room sofa with a brand new leather Barcalounger sofa with two reclining sections. Now you can lay back and enjoy the new 43" TV that has built-in Roku and includes free HBOMax, Hulu, and Peacock streaming services. Bring your oasswords to use and watch Netflix, Apple TV, Disney+, and Prime. See the pictures I've updated to show these improvements. Just added for the 2022 season is a new coffee station that will brew a 12-cup pot or a single K-Cup of your favorite flavor from home. Rehoboth Beach is now officially the beach home of President Joe Biden and his family. We've seen him around town several times before he became President, so you'll never know what to expect. We enforce a strict non-smoking policy on the premises, including the lawn area. Failure to comply can cause you to be asked to leave and loss of rental payment. The cottage is located just two blocks from Rehoboth Ave and 2 1/2 blocks from the beach and boardwalk in South Rehoboth.. Close to everything, yet located in a quiet backyard setting. Set back from the main house with its' own parking for two cars. Master has a queen bed and the loft (must pass through this to get into Master) has a double bed. Enclosed porch with view of bamboo forest just outside. The bathroom (downstairs) has a shower only. Outside shower for those returning from the beach. Perfect getaway away for two adults, with a maximum occupancy of three. Pet allowed (we love ours too) with an additional $200 non-refundable payment (please check that off when booking). If you have more than one dog, we need to talk before you book. Extended cable package and wireless Wifi included. 43' flatscreen with Ruko streaming downstairs and 32'upstairstairs. Both with DVD players and DVD library. New in 2018, a newly remodeled kitchen with modern cabinets, granite countertops, a ew refrigerator, and new flooring throughout the first floor. Note: there is no dishwasher, garbage disposal, or washer/dryer. We are a classic beach cottage in that respect. There is a laundromat nearby. The outside area has 2 Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, clothesline, bike rack, and gas grill. We do not charge a mandatory cleaning like other places do. We also have a valid rental license from that City, so we have been inspected for safety, cleanliness, and taxes paid. Please check out our reviews. Thanks for considering us.

This little cottage is a real gem. When we originally walked in we were surprised by how little the space is! BUT as we familiarized ourselves, there was absolutely nothing more we could have wanted or needed. Cute private yard with a picnic table and comfortable seating. A lovely open 4 season room along one side of the house. Fully stocked and impeccably clean kitchen where we easily cooked a few meals. The living room has a fantastic sofa for relaxing in front of the TV. Bathroom is small but serviceable. The bedrooms are cute and well furnished. Throughout the house are many little touches of beach living and lovely pottery made by the owner. We walked everywhere all week and the week was made perfect because we were able to share it with our puppy. Sand time, street and boardwalk socialization and lots of cuddling. My wife and I have rented this beautiful little gem for 4 years in a row. It has everything we need to live quite comfortably for two weeks in the summer. It’s spotlessly clean, well maintained and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The owners, Steve and Sandy, live next door and readily address any concerns that you may have regarding your stay there. We’d rate it 5 stars for overall satisfaction.

My wife and I stayed here for a week to celebrate our anniversary. We had a great stay although the weather was pretty terrible.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful (we were looking for happy hour and dinner recs) and the location is amazing. Short walk to the beach, easy access to shops and restaurants. No wonder this place books up fast.

The property was perfect in every way. Set back from the street, behind the main house, it was perfectly secluded and quiet. Owners live in the main house and they were right on top of anything/everything we needed. Altogether, beautiful weather, lovely beach time, including lots of time in the ocean. Did most of our cooking at home, went out a few times and had great meals out. Not to mention the ice cream...

You can’t beat the location- a few blocks from the beach, boardwalk and shops in Rehoboth. The cottage was private and perfect for two adults. It is stocked with everything you might need, right down to a cart for beach chairs. The kitchen had many items we expected to bring, they truly thought of everything. The hosts were great with communication prior to arrival and made us feel welcome, suggesting places to visit and eat. They allied us to bring our small dog which was perfect in the pet friendly town. We can’t say enough good things.

Cottage is small but had a cozy feel. Backyard is beautiful and was nice to lounge around after coming off the beach. Kitchen is stocked with everything you may need. Parking for 2 vehicles, which was great. Location was perfect. Just a few short blocks off the beach and very close to downtown Rehoboth restaurants and shops. Having a place that allowed pets was also a huge plus. Hosts were very communicative.

The property is pretty small but Steve & Sandy have furnished and outfitted it with a lot of thought. The thoughtful touches make the place really work. The new reclining leather sofa is really comfortable. Steve and Sandy were very thoughtful & kind, offering to let us slip our week because of the hurricane (and no rental the following week) and offering us towels for our wet dogs.
The location is great - walking distance to the beach and very close to Rehoboth Ave.

The hosts are very amicable and quick to offer suggestions of spots for Happy Hour!!! The property is extremely well maintained and very clean. They are pet friendly. It is much better than the pictures. We came to bike ride and eat outside during COVID. There is a small bike rack to hitch your bikes too and this is safely behind the larger house. The neighborhood is really nice and a very reasonable distance from the beach and boardwalk. The couch is unexpectedly decadent. Be careful, you could become a couch potato! It is leather covered electrically automated recliner (actually on both sides). The left side can modify the back support, though you won't likely need this. And, the right side (seated) shares the same recliner function only. If you need a quick nap, this is your spot. The kitchen has been professionally redone and is very usable. We packed out food because of our COVID concerns and we had everything we needed. The hosts are also very generous with keeping some spices and ground salt and pepper mills in the cabinet for any food you wish to make.
I planned to grill and Steve was quick to address the fact that the grilling surface had corroded (rusted deeply) In a day he had new grill surfaces ordered from Amazon that he seasoned himself and installed. He also lent me the use of his grill temporarily to address the need for a grill surface and some LP gas (a prior guest had left all the burners on max with no flame and emptied the container). Early the next morning he also showed up with a full container of LP gas!!!
If you do grill, they have a bucket of grill implements, so that you can do so to your hearts delight.
Steve and Sandy have also very nicely decorated the inside of the small home with all sorts of creative touches. If you like to read, this is a good setting and there are many books on the shelf, if you forget to bring your own.
There was one bad review on here and I did read it and briefly discussed it with the hosts. If you are down for a real party, then I would probably suggest you stay elsewhere. I don't think the hosts are even anti-party, just not looking for the excitement you will find in their response to that review.
There is a note on the fridge and you will be expected to keep the floor clean. I used a dust buster they had on a bottom shelf on a charger for this. Maybe we were lucky, but they were stocked up on supplies. We brought our own, but they will get you started! Highly Recommended!

I think we must have had the best week of the summer, weather wise. The little cottage is very cute and cozy, and comfortable. As others have said, everything you might possibly need was provided as well. My cat came along, and she thoroughly enjoyed the sun room and the "hammock" that was the beach cart. We walked into town every day. I would not hesitate to rent this cottage again!

The pluses: close to beach and main shopping street; lots of good restaurants in the area; off- street parking available; and, dogs are welcome. The negatives: bedroom is on the second floor and stairs to it are very steep; bathroom is on first floor and very narrow; several cooking utensils and pots were not clean and had to be scrubbed before use; beach umbrella was broken, limiting its use.

Awesome Vaca
I went on vacation to find peace. It was perfect. I never drove my car off the lot after arriving. Everything was in walking distance - just what I wanted. The cottage was just perfect for me and my dog Champ. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent at the beach and the local shops and farmers market. I would highly recommend this place!

This little cottage was close to all the best restaurants Rehoboth has to offer. It is decorated very cute and has a nice side yard with chairs and a picnic table. We walked to the beach everyday. The cottage is small, so more than 2 adults might be crowded. The bathroom is small, but functional. The new leather recliner and TV were great!

The Secret Garden
We loved our stay in this charming cottage! It was small, but plenty of open space for 2 adults and a dog. The beautiful sun room added another room off the living area and we spent much time there, as it overlooked the stunning back yard. We used the 2nd upstairs bedroom, double bed included, as a dressing room where we kept our suitcases. The air conditioning was very comfortable, and surprisingly quiet as they were window units. The downstairs stayed cool during the day because of the many trees. The new reclining leather sofa and TV were terrific. The main living areas were very accommodating with stunning decor...very homey and warm! Steve and Sandy were very kind and were ready to assist with any information needed.. We would definitely recommend this lovely, historically updated cottage to others. We would love to come back again. Many thanks to Steve and Sandy! Ginny & Don

Recover at the Cottage
I had the most wonderful time taking a solo mini vacation to Steve and Sandy's cottage and have zero complaints whatsoever. The place was tiny enough to make a single girl feel comfortable, but absolutely spacious enough for a couple and pet. It is within literal walking distance of just about everywhere I wanted to go and once the Jolly Trolly is up and running, I doubt you'd even need to move your car once. Steve and Sandy were the sweetest hosts and welcomed me on my first night there as they live in the front property. They were available by phone any time I had a housing question and were eager to provide recommendations as I requested due to dietary preferences. I will ABSOLUTELY book with them again in the future!!!

Adorable Cottage
This was a VERY comfortable stay for a couple and their dog. The photos accurately tell you what you're getting, which turns out to be a 90-year old cottage (I liked the history). Communication with the owners are easy and fast. We had some concerns about living in someone's "back yard" but Steve and Sandy struck the right balance of giving us a welcome greeting and orientation and then just being friendly neighbors. The outdoor seating area is calm and private. The location is an easy walk from beach, restaurants, shops. We really enjoyed our fall week here.
