The property was just perfect for our visit with my daughter’s family. Very cute, cozy and well maintained. Perfect size for the 2 of us. In a nice, quiet neighborhood.
The owner was very helpful when our flights were delayed, and me us at the property to get us started.
We will stay there again.

This was our first time using VRBO and what a pleasure it was. This home was perfect in every way. The grounds surrounding this home built in 1890 are just as gorgeous as the house itself. How nice to be in New Mexico and get the NM feel throughout. We'll be back again and again.
5.0
Casa la Huerta was light and airy, spacious, and homey, with charming New Mexican accents throughout. It had a well-appointed kitchen, and there was plenty of hot water for baths and showers. The bedrooms were roomy and the mattresses comfortable - a must or both of us. Clearly, great care has been taken to ensure that guests have everything they need. Perhaps most importantly, we were impressed (and relieved) by how peaceful and quiet the house and neighborhood were.
Our host, Michael, greeted us upon arrival, walked us through, and shared the wonderful history of the property. The outdoor spaces were lovely, even in late February - it's easy to imagine how beautiful it will be when everything is in bloom.
Overall, our experience at Casa la Huerta was delightful, and whenever we're back in town we won't hesitate to make it our home again. Thank you, Michael!

Casa La Huerta is in a great location, and was a comfortable home base for our 11-day stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the gas fireplace especially appreciated as it was not warm weather. We'd love to relax outdoors in the garden and patio in warmer months!

An older home modernized just enough to retain its character and be very comfortable at the same time. Set on a large lot with a private parking area and wonderful outdoor landscaping and spaces. Comfortable bed and very well equipped but not cluttered kitchen. Host meets you at property to make sure you are properly oriented, which is a nice touch. This is a "do again" VRBO for me.

My husband and I traveled to see family in the Albuquerque area. We found Casa La Huerta through vrbo and immediately knew it was the place we wanted to stay. It's a gem of a property; i.e., clean, great location, quiet with such nice landscaping. The patio is our favorite part. We read, played games and ate together there often. I'm sure we'll ask to stay at Casa La Huerta on our next trip to Albuquerque. I'd be remiss if I neglected to say that Michael Aragon is an excellent manager of this property. He was available and able to answer all our questions. Thanks so much, Michael.

My husband and I absolutely loved this property!!! I loved sitting out back in the morning, drinking my coffee, and reading on my kindle. It was so relaxing and quiet. It was perfect for the two of us. The house is in a great location.

We were met promptly at arrival by our host and given a tour of the property. We stayed during a very hot part of the summer and unfortunately AC in master was in/out. Thankfully the host warned us of this at arrival and gave us tips on keeping the house cool bc there were a couple nights that we had to manage without AC in the master. My family enjoyed the plants around the property and the shaded patio inspite of the excessive heat of July.

We were looking for something with beauty and character. Casa la Huerta fit the requirement well. Situated near the Rio Grande river in a wine and horse community , this 140+ year old property delivers exactly what one should expect, historical intrigue and eclectic design as the house was expanded and modernized. It is a great mix of both old and new. The outside landscape is beautiful and peaceful. The pictures in the description of the property are accurate. The location feels very secure, private and personal. The owner was attentive and available. I highly recommend it to those who want something special in their stay. We really enjoyed it.

The property and host were great. Location was central to the touristy things we planned for our vacation. Traveling with teens, it was nice to have space, and not be in a cramped hotel room.

The renovations were guest centric, convenient and comfortable. Michael was attentive and flexible. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. One of our best stays on a four-location trip.

Don't hesitate booking this North Valley property! Walking distance to the Flying Star and El Patio's great margaritas and food! Old town just a short distace down the road. We had fun just sitting out back watching the butterflies and hummingbirds. Hope to back soon.

This property had everything you could ask for! Charming home, fully stocked kitchen, outdoor seating areas, and a guidebook of recommendations for the area.
Michael is a fantastic host, he met us at the property to give us a tour and make sure we didn't have any questions about even the small things like how the remotes worked. 5 stars in terms of scheduling, communication, knowledge of the area and kindness.
I would definitely recommend driving/renting a car as the location is a bit off the beaten path. We used Uber and most attractions were about 15 min drive or less.

This property is simply perfect for a weeklong visit while attending a very demanding workshop. The interior is attractively and comfortably furnished. It’s a joy to take our breakfast outside on the patio . Lovely garden!

We stayed at Casa La Huerta while we were in Albuquerque for a few nights. The house and the entire property is amazing! It is entirely walled off and private with a gorgeous New Mexican yard full of cacti and foliage with a beautiful patio perfect for late evenings or early breakfast. We loved the quiet neighborhood and are definitely planning on coming back.
Michael made the check in process smooth and easy by showing us how the property was laid out and how everything worked. He had plenty of recommendations for food and anything else we needed. We had some travel difficulties on the way in, and he remained flexible throughout the process as we arrived much later than we had originally intended.
All in all, Casa La Huerta was definitely worth the stay. It's an adorable little New Mexican that you have to see to believe, and you won't want to leave when it's over.

This 2-br home is on a very large piece of property—1 block from Rio Grande Ave NW. It is <1 mile from The Rio Grande State Nature Center, Los Poblanos Inn/Spa, Flying Star Cafe attractions. The home itself is on a beautifully landscaped parcel with lots of outdoor features including a large covered patio with a retractable west facing sunshade. These spacious grounds are completely enclosed by an adobe-like wall with lockable gate. Outside this enclosure is a large secluded and lockable parking area that can accommodate an RV, trailers, kayaks, etc. along with an orchard. The house is an 1880’s era Adobe that has been doubled in size to make for a tastefully styled 2-br 1-bath home with all modern conveniences. It is amply cooled and heated with a mini-split ductless unit in each br and the LR. There are ample cooking and service pieces. Best of all the Host was promptly attentive to any and all requests. I would (and will) stay there again were the opportunity to visist Albuquerque arive again.
