About this villa rental
A nice cozy beach house with all the comforts of home inside and out. The kitchen has just been remodeled. There is a separate laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. Off one side of the house is a small covered deck and a convenient enclosed outdoor shower with plenty of hot water.The front door opens on to a carport and patio with two sets of table and chairs. Will set 8 for dining and cookouts. There is also a large gas grill. Pets welcomed ( under 35 lbs ) and golf cart included.
Our home is a short one block walk or a 2 minute golf cart ( included ) ride to the beach, and convenient to pools, tennis court ,par 4 golf course, a water park and numerous restaurants.
We are anxious to share are home with your family ..

This was our 2nd stay 2 uears in a row. The 1st year was great, the house was clean our stay was wonderful. This year totally opposite!
They said we broke something, the house needed cleaned and the dishwasher was full. To the best of my knowledge we didn't break anything, we took all of our things from the house and swept before we left, as for the dishwasher it was full when we arrived and we never touched anything in it. We left it as is, we ate out our entire stay. As for the condition of the house we found items that were not ours, a hair clip and finger nails. The house smelled like a musty campground and we seen roaches everynight!! I wasn't going to complain or couse a fuss untill they sent a request for more money because the house needed more cleaning and the dishwasher was full and said we broke a picture. The house definitely needs more cleaning but its not because of us! As a returning guest i will not be returning next year! Very disappointed considering last year was better.

We actually left a day early, the property owner did have an exterminator out but there were still roaches!! When I contacted the property owner the day we arrived to tell him about the roach problem he said he knew it was an issue and was having the place treated! If I knew before hand I wouldn’t have stayed!

The outside is somewhat maintained, but when we entered (as the door slammed shut behind us) we realized this place was not what we thought we were renting as advertised. The rooms were dirty, and it was clear it hadn’t been freshly cleaned. The comforter was stained, the walls were dirty, the vents and fans covered in dust, nasty bathmat in the shower, a dirty disgusting spare mattress tucked under the full bed on full display, and the space boards scuffed with dirt and grim. we had to buy cleaning products to clean the kitchen and bathrooms. You can't imagine how disgusting these rooms were. Everything we wiped down and cleaned turned the wipe and sponge a dingy black. The vacuum did not work, I can confirm by the grim the floors have not been moped in ages and were disgusting as well. We had to wash the blankets and kitchen towels before we felt they could be used. I was glad we brought our own sheets and towels.
I’m not sure how you get good reviews, but I can say “Almost Perfect” is very, very far from that. You can’t tell cleanliness from photos, but it wouldn’t matter as the photos advertised for the rental are very outdated. Many of the furnishings represented are no longer present or are in poor condition, the upkeep of the golf cart has been neglected, the grill is rusty and doesn’t light, there are junk piles of old beach chairs, umbrellas and other items, the rugs are old and worn.

First let me say I am not one to disparage anyone or be rude and hateful. This place was absolutely disgusting. Had not been cleaned in quite a while. The rental amount includes a cleaning fee, Howe, there is a sarcastic note on the refrigerator stating that the cleaning service is not a maid service and though I paid a cleaning fee that I was expected to clean before I left. There was NOTHING to clean with and clearly the previous renters hadn’t either.
I took photos of the dust and debris as well as the tuft of animal hair that fell in the floor when I pulled the comforter back to make my bed. The walls even had dust!

As far as the kitchen there was old food remnants on the walls and the outer microwave. We had to totally clean the toaster before using it due to the filth.
I spent slot of money on this and was very disappointed. I reached out to the owner and they stated they couldn’t understand how it got so dirty. Brought me some Clorox wipes and left on the porch. I sent the owner the pics as well. Needless to say I will not stay here again. I do love Oceanside village and will find a different place to stay.

Nice place however coffee pot was not clean and had black sludge. Most lamps did not work and/or missing knobs. Vents by bathroom were very dusty (not sandy). Seemed like maybe an animal was there before us due to hair.

Our stay could've been more perfect. The house was perfect, so clean and inviting. The owners was quick to answer any questions prior to and during our stay. The housekeeper was the sweetest! We arrived early and she was cleaning and she was so sweet to talk to and when we returned to check in the house smelled and was so clean!. The location is perfect, so close to the beach and the pool. Our little family had an absolutely amazing trip!

Great location and neighborhood. We stay in this neighborhood every year. I wasn’t sure if it is professionally cleaned. You need to take your own sheets and towels and make sure you leave toilet paper and paper towels for the next guest. The gym wasn’t included. It’s $30.00 a week per person. The only way you can see the pond is if you are in the driveway and tall and then you can catch a glimpse. Golf cart was nice to have. It’s a short walk to the beach. Took me 10 minutes. If that being said I would probably stay again.

My husband and I desperately needed a getaway and decided to bring his brother and wife alongside, it was amazing! This will go in the books and be one of our best trips. We are already looking at taking our kids back. The place was quaint and convenient and the community was awesome. Thank you for such an awesome stay!!!

We liked the area and property was well used as expected. No big issues other than the golf cart has a faulty charging system so it’s always dead. Then I was charged for cigarette butts and dog poop outside. No one in our group even smokes cigarettes. The poop is from the stray cats all over everything. When arriving at the place the owner was putting the Lynwood in the closets to cover the holes in the rotten floors. I know he had to see the trash everywhere. Used razors in the shower dirty laundry in the basket. I could deal with all this. What I can’t deal with is being accused of leaving the place this way. I would never recommend any one stay here.

Fantastic little beach house in a gated golf cart community. 4 or 5 minute walk to the beach, or use the provided golf cart to take everyone and all of your beach accessories. House has everything you need for vacation. The outdoor shower is a huge plus.

Very close to the beach with private access! Perfect house for a family of 4. Within 40 minutes of all the tourist stuff. Nice restaurants and shopping near by. Hope to book again!

The property had a musty odor. We opened a few windows and saw dirty/dusty blinds and window sills.
We also found mouse feces, decaying food, dead cockroaches, thick layers of dust and grime, possible black mold,
black fingerprints on and around light switches, used personal items under the sink, dirty shower and curtain.
We spent about an hour cleaning around the bed and our cleaning products (paper towels, sanitary wipes, etc...)
were black, dirty, greasy and filthy.
We contacted the owners immediately and they said the cleaning people had just been there.
The owners said they would drop off a mouse trap and new Swiffer mop the following day.
The listing says 'Cleaned with disinfectant' and 'High-touch surfaces cleaned with disinfectant
(like countertops, light switches, handles, and faucets)'. This wasn't the case.
The smell, dirt, mold and mouse poop made us concerned for our health, and that of our puppy.
We didn’t sleep well and woke up feeling sick. We left.
The owner refused full refund and VRBO doesnt refund their fees unless the owner does a full refund.
The owner asked us to to leave a neutral or no review in exchange for a partial (not full) refund.
All has been documented and reported to VRBO. Dispute is ongoing.

Property was very close to the beach. Having the golf cart was amazing. Appliances were all new and the wi-fi (spectrum) was the fastest we have ever had on vacation. TV looked great, but we were too busy to watch. We had a great time!

Pros: Great location to the beach. Golf cart made it easy to get to pools and beach. Owners very easy to reach and answer any questions we had. Cons: Trailer needed a good cleaning! We took our own linens but also washed the mattress pad covers & bed spread after finding food crumbs & stains under the bed spread.
Overall we had a great vacation and the owners were very helpful & always answered calls/texts immediately.

Location & it comes with a golf cart & also loved being able to bring our dogs! The place even has two dog parks!!! Loved the pool and hot tub as well! We had a great week & cannot wait to go back!

Overall our stay was great. The neighborhood was beautiful and everyone was friendly. The golf cart and private beach access make up for it not being on the ocean. Donna was very responsive. We will definitely stay again.

Hosts were very polite and responsive! The home is in a community right across the street from the ocean. Provided golf cart and home was equipped with what you would need. Do bring your own linens and towels. This is a perfect place to enjoy the beach and a restaurant across the street when open during season. You will never have to leave the community!
