My family and I stayed in this lovely and spacious cottage. Loved canoeing on the peaceful lake, cooking in the modern kitchen and hanging out on the back patio. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!

Our family loved our time at Brewster's Lake! The cottage was lovely and comfortable, with a beautiful view off the back deck, and a short walk to the water. There was lots to do, and the beach was just a short canoe ride away. The kids loved chasing frogs and snakes, playing in the sandbox, soaking in the hot tub, and roasting marshmallows by the fire. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, this place has all the amenities you could ask for, and our host was available and accessible the whole trip! A truly wonderful stay!

The cottage/home was bright and clean. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities, albeit scattered.
The area was very private and guiet. The grass and weeds around the house needed cutting. There was no A/C, however the evenings cooled down for sleeping.
We enjoyed the deck, but wished their was a view of the lake hidden by the trees and bushes. The walk to the dock was a couple of minutes, but through long grass until reaching the stone pathway. The canoes were in excellent condition and we enjoyed them. My son loves fishing and with a great deal of patience, finally caught a large pike. Through no fault of the hosts, the water level was low and the only swimming was a short drive or canoe ride away. There was no raft in the water as pictured on line at the local beach. Unfortunately the mosquitos were bad around the firepit and walking to and from the dock.
We enjoyed the hot tub however the grass and weeds on the grounds and on the stone walkway to it needed cutting.
The hostess was very responsive and helpful.
All in all, it was a nice get-a-way. All that was needed is a little TLC outside.

We had a great break out of the city at this cozy chalet! We would definately book again.

Beautiful place on the water to unwined and relax from the daily hustle and busel of life. My husband and I enjoyed complete tranquility! We enjoyed cooking outside on the open fire at the nice fire pit area. Short walk to a dock to go canoeing or use the row boat. Unfortunately the weather (raining and really windy) did not fully cooperate with that for us. :) Or if its was nice weather just sit in the anarondike chairs and enjoy the sun and water. The Chalet has a fireplace to cuddle up to and get cozy and warm. If that wasn't enough they have a relaxing hot tub with many jets. Let them work on your muscles. That was mine and my husbands perfect place to relax and unwind. If there was one thing I would change it would be to build a mini privacy fence. When in the hot tub it would be completely private from the home behind. We fully enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Thank You for the bottle of wine, that was very thoughtful of you! A very special Thank You to the hosts Mary Beth & Brad for allowing us to enjoy their families Chalet. P.S .Sorry for cooking fish (haddock). LoL Thanks Terry and Rob :)

Cottage is bright and spacious. On quiet lake, excellent for relaxing on the deck, or taking a canoe trip around the lake.
Close enough to small town general stores, walks on the Bruce Trail and dinners in Collingwood.

Making great memories
We had an amazing time enjoying this beautiful and very private property. Cottage is family and kids friendly. Everything was absolutely perfect. We had peaceful and relaxing time. Thank you !

Area is easier to reach, there are many little towns to visit like Collingwood, Blue Mountain, Eugenia, etc. Cottage is big and has everything, quite peaceful.

We had a very peaceful stay at this cottage. The interior of the cottage was very clean. There were canoes to go canoeing on the small lake. Lots of birds and wildlife to see. We did need to be careful walking down the stone path going to the dock because there was a bit of poison ivy on the side of the path. Other than that it was a wonderful anniversary. The owners even had champagne for us. Overall, a lovely place to unwind.

The land itself is magical & it was a very easy check in. The house and the owner are a different story. The cheap plastic flooring inside is lifting apart due to wet boots over the years- definitely not enough floor mats and that is damaging their floors. The fixtures inside such as towel racks are wobbley and cheap, and fell off the wall. The furniture is cheap.
No towels, not even one kitchen towel or one hand towel in bathrooms, which is strange. The lighting is horrible, cheap little lamps with very bright bulbs. We paid $3000 for four nights bc it was over the holidays, so very expensive-The owner had the nerve to charge me an extra $100 on top of the already $150 cleaning fee, apparently for a little grease left on oven.
My son noticed one wobbly leg on a cheap chair, we unscrewed all the legs so the chair could still be used and was safe. When we left, we left the legs out, incase someone sat in it and hurt themselves. The owner charged us $175 for a wobbly leg on a cheap chair that wouldn’t be worth $175 new! She would not reason with me and would not listen to our explanation, & told me to take it up with VRBO. So Beware! This owner is after your deposit... and does not want to have a discussion with someone who just paid them $3000 for four nights, and saved them a liability due to a cheap chair. Gutless and spineless!

Return visit as great as the first
This is our second time staying here. Great property, lots of room for the kids to run around and play outside and clean comfortable interior. Great lake for fishing, good fire pit and the new tree house was a hit with our boys.

Couple getaway
We enjoyed the property. Check in was easy.

Nice property right on the water
Very comfortable, well kitted with everything you'd need (except towels), and owners were quick to respond to any questions.
4.8
Place are clean when we go in. Bed are comfortable. Surrounding area is also nice. The owner built a treehouse this year and it was amazing! Communication with owner was great, quick respond.
4.8
Nice spot
The house on the lake was exactly what we needed. Enjoyed the time spent reading and fishing at the lake and relaxing by the fire! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Cozy weekend in Singhampton
The property is tidy and well-equipped. We had everything that we needed for our weekend away (four long-time friends). Everyone wanted their own space (and there are 3 bedrooms), so that meant I used the bed in the basement, but it is a semi-finished basement and met my needs.
View over Brewster Lake was beautiful, both at sunrise and sunset. Close to many hiking trails, that we thoroughly enjoyed. Had a day in Collingwood (shopping, hiking and Scandinave Spa) and another trip to Creemore (shopping, brewery and hiking).
Mary Beth is so easy to work with and very responsive to email.

Peace perfect peace
Brad and Mary Beth’s cottage was exactly what we were looking for.
Peace and quite, beautiful location and enough space to accommodate a 7 yr old with boundless energy.
Not to mention the comfy beds!

Good location. The lake was great. Enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful and comfortable stay
Thank you Mary for being so responsive and helpful. Beautiful and comfortable cottage with lots of light and privacy. My only suggestion to those with little ones would be to bring black out curtains. Thanks for a great stay.
4.8
Great place on an nice little lake
House was very comfortable (family of 5) and private. There are other places in the area but the way the lots are set up, no one was right next to us. Property has lots to explore for 3 boys under 10yrs - they had a blast - a nice fire pit. The little lake was perfect for canoeing and fishing and we caught a few nice pike during our stay. There is a small beach area to enter for swimming but it was still too chilly during our stay. There was 1 row boat and 2 canoes, paddles, life jackets all in good condition. Mary Beth was very responsive.

great getaway from the city!
Desperate to get out of the city for a few days for some fresh air, we rented this perfect cottage for the May long weekend. Very nicely appointed with comfortable beds (!), on a lovely small lake, with a multitude of nesting birds, and a fire pit (bring some/leave some wood), it was just what we needed. Check in was easy and Mary Beth was readily available for questions. Would highly recommend this place and will come back in a heart beat the next time we need some time away.

Beautiful location, lovely cottage
The cottage was perfectly suited for our ski weekend with friends, had all the amenities we needed. Mary Beth was quick to respond to questions and helped out with any requests we had. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

A Light-filled oasis
Brad & MB's Chalet welcomed us gently, quietly, to a haven of peace and comfort. Wonderfully scrumptious beds, soaker bathtubs, the kitchen fully equipped with everything one could possibly need to prepare good meals. ... Walks through the neighbouring snow-clad fields and woods were a treat, albeit a tad hard-going for this octodame in deep, crunchy snow. Good for oiling those hip joints. Such fun to see various animal tracks, guessing whom they belonged to. MJ tells me there are fox, deer and mink.. ... Had a superb late lunch at Cabin Bistro in Collingwood, a bit pricey but worth the shekels. Very nice chap just opened it this Fall. ...Had a reasonable take-out supper from Mylar & Loreta's in nearby Singhamton. Lovely vibe there, everyone knows everyone else, tres friendly. ...Taking my 20 month old grandson to Blue Mountain Lodge to simply watch the skiers and snowboarders come swooping down those homestretch areas was such fun. He was totally transfixed. Nope, we didn't attempt either sport. Just clapped and called 'YAAY!' as the swift ones zoomed by us. ... The chalet is beautifully childproof .... thick carpeting throughout both levels. And MJ was an absolute godsend in answering, swiftly, any questions I texted to her. ... I think what our family loved most about the chalet was the extraordinary sense of LIGHT that fills the main floor, thanks to very tall windows and a two-storey high ceiling in the living room. Wow! Does that give one a feeling of great space. A blessing after the city. ... After 2 nights of fog and clouds, we lucked out and were treated to clear sky with panoply of stars, something we never see in downtown Toronto. ... A relaxing four days, for which we salute MJ & Brad for their generosity in sharing their home with us, 3 adults and 1 toddler..

Lovely property on a pretty little lake offering a clean, modern chalet experience.
This was a lovely spot in autumn for a girls' weekend. The kitchen is well-equipped. The bedrooms are bright, airy and clean. We enjoyed the wi-fi, Netflix and fireplace while lounging on the comfy living room furniture. Took a short 25 minute drive to Scandinave Spa for some relaxation. Enjoyed hiking at the Singhampton Caves Trail - beautiful! In the summer, it would be nice to use the canoe and get out on the lake.

Beautiful!
Everything I expected! The cottage is beautiful and in a great area. Brewster's lake is perfect for kayaking and swimming. The owners were very helpful and I'd highly recommend staying here!

A perfect serene lakeside escape!
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. We found it to be very spacious and well appointed, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed taking the canoe out on the lake, enjoyed bbq dinners on the patio, and curling up around the perfect lakeside campfire. We can't wait to come back!

Always a great time!
My friends and I have been going to this cottage for 3 years, making it 4 this year and we absolutely love it! We always have a great time and talk about comming back the following year. The area is quiet and peaceful. The deck area is just amazing and it's where we always meet our little Chinpmunk friends. The dock near the water is so relaxing and quiet. The cottage is clean, spacious and cozy! There are stores, restaurants and activities near by. We always look forward to our Long weekend here!

Great vacation experience!
I have rented this cottage twice so far and each time it was very enjoyable. It is beautiful, clean, well kept and has all the best amenities. Mary Beth is a great host and very accommodating and the location is perfect for that "not-too-far but far enough" type of vacation. The lake is beautiful and the property is cozy and up to all modern standards, which means you can take a hot shower, drink tea and also feel like you are away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. There are trails down the way, great skiing, spas and attractions nearby and they also provide all the information you could need to make sure you have the best time. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to have a great time away from the city, wants to enjoy lakefront sunrises or loves roasting marshmallows with friends under the night sky.
Will definitely be back again! Thanks again!
