About this house rental
Welcome to our home in Etowah, NC where you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise with a warm cup of coffee or sunsets with a glass of wine from our rockers on the front porch overlooking the Etowah Valley Golf Course and beautiful mountain range views. From our porch you can also enjoy white squirrels, a variety of birds and deer having a snack amongst the rhododendron.
We are located just minutes from downtown Hendersonville and Brevard, NC and Asheville is a short 30 minutes away.
Our home offers you a main floor with a master suite with a king-size bed and private bath with a walk-in shower and TV. You also have a beautiful kitchen with granite counters, large eating area, and living area with a large flat screen TV, and gas fireplace, Wifi available. A half-bath is located just off the kitchen. Our second floor offers you three bedrooms and one full bath. One bedroom is furnished with twin beds while the other two have queen size beds. Beautiful hardwood floors can be found on the main floor with soft carpet on the second floor. Our lower porch has a gas grill for those who like to grill while they have a beautiful view. Your kitchen is furnished. Available also are small appliances--toaster, single pod coffee maker, regular coffee maker, high efficiency washer and dryer. Starter packages of paper products will be provided—toilet paper, tissue, paper towels, and trash bags. Towels and linens are provided. The house is first floor wheelchair accessible. Four-wheel drive vehicles are not required to access our home. For those of you that enjoy eating outdoors, there is a table and chairs for use on the upper porch.
Available just a couple of minutes away are a grocery store, gas stations, bank, pharmacy, post office, medical services, and several restaurants (Pizza, Mexican, Bar-B-Que, and Family Style Cooking).
There are many exciting activities that you can participate in while in the area. If you love the outdoors, you can hike or bike in the Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Forest, or the Holmes State Forest or try tubing in the Davidson River. If golfing is your area of interest, try the Etowah Valley Golf Club or a host of many more courses. If cultural activities are your interest, try the Flat Rock Playhouse, Brevard Music Center, Carl Sandburg House, and the Biltmore House. Visit the NC Arboretum for those of you that enjoy plants and gardens. There are also many fine restaurants and breweries in the area. A tour of the Sierra Nevada’s brewery is available seven days a week.
For those of you that enjoy shopping, walk the main streets of Brevard and Hendersonville. You will find numerous boutiques and interesting gift shops. If you are looking for bargains, the Biltmore Outlet mall is the place to visit.

Had a lovely weekend where friends from college gathered. My 1 year old had a great time crawling around the clean floors. Big kitchen, cozy living room, lovely porch with sunrise views. Easy check-in. Close to hiking! I recommend.

We booked this property last minute after checking into another property that was NOT as advertised, to say the least! This owner was quick to reply to our inquiry. I can not express the relief we felt when we walked into this house. Cleary the owner takes great pride in this home. It was everything we were expecting AND MORE on our vacation to the Pisgah area. The kitchen/dining room was a perfect center focus of the house just like home. We had room for prep, dinner, chatting, AND games! All the bedrooms were super comfortable making all three of our teenagers very happy.
The view off the top back porch was beautiful. We were close to all the desired spots! Highly recommend these extras: Bald Rock Heritage Preserve in Greenville County, SC (only 40min drive) for sunrise and Jump Off rock in Laurel Park, NC (20min drive) for sunset!!!

The minute we drove up to the house we loved it. The scenery and the porch with the rocking chairs, could not be better. The house was very clean and had everything you would want. We stayed for 3 nights but wished we could stay longer. Also getting around to what ever you wanted to do was within 30 minutes. Would stay again. Wonderful host.

We had a lovely stay at this conveniently located home. It is beautifully decorated, spacious, and comfortable. We really enjoyed the mountain view from the balcony. Overall it is a very clean house. The master shower had a little trouble draining. It would be nice if there were some liners for the wastebaskets in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

We booked this location for a writing retreat for our writer's group. We had a blast and spent most of our time out on the back porch, enjoying the view and the rocking chairs!

We stayed here for a quick getaway after Christmas with our 6 children. The eight of us were very comfortable and had plenty of space. The house was exactly what we were looking for and even better than we expected. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! The kitchen was huge and fully stocked, there were plenty of linens and space for everyone and the house was immaculately clean. The home was also in an excellent location to visit downtown Asheville and close to fun activities like snow tubing and gem mining for the little ones. We were a little disappointed that the gas tank was empty in the grill as we’d planned to grill burgers one night, but we improvised! Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip. Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us!

This is a lovely house with a truly beautiful view. Our extended family enjoyed sitting out on the upper porch mornings and evenings and even went out at night to enjoy the star-filled dark skies. The kitchen/dining area accommodated our group very well.

The place was amazing. Super clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. There was an abundance of extra towels, pillows and blankets. The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked multiple meals. The house itself had so much light due to all the windows and we were only 5 minutes away from the nearest gas station and supermarket. We would come back again and again.

We were two families with 7 total (4 adults and 3 children age 6-10) and were very comfortable in Brad's home. My favorite part was drinking coffee or a glass of wine on the porch with the gorgeous mountain views. Home was comfortable and well appointed and location was convenient. We were a 20 minute drive from downtown Hendersonville where we dined one night. We also enjoyed apple picking at Grandad's Apples, hiking at Looking Glass Falls, visited the arboretum and a really cool kid friendly brewery called Whistlehop (all around 30 min or less drive from the vacation rental). Really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

The porch view on this house looks just like the photos! We loved sitting on the porch in the mornings. One of the girls is going to come back with family. We all would recommend this place! It’s a beautiful place inside as well. It’s located about 20 to 30min from things; which is not bad at all. My only concern which is not the property owners fault at all; getting an Uber to come to the house takes a while and the Uber driver said a lot of Ubers do not hang out around there. So schedule it ahead of time or use the black van service.

This is a wonderful property and Brad is an outstanding host! We’ve stayed about 7 years in a row and you can feel the stress level coming down as you drive up the driveway. So thankful for Brad sharing his home!

We celebrated our mom’s 95th birthday in this lovely house overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains. The main floor was easily accessible for my mom with a wonderful walk-in shower. The 2 porches equipped with rockers was a peaceful place to visit. We felt like we were home!

This property is both lovely and inviting. Our family consisted of 4 generations and we all were comfortable and entertained. Whether you wanted to look at the scenic view, watch TV, read, play games or Foosball, everything you néeded was provided. This beautiful home is centrally located between Hendersonville and Brevard so shopping, groceries and dining out was just a quick drive. Brad was easy to communicate with, but the property is so well supplied with clear instructions that contacting him during our stay was not necessary. We enjoyed our time in this clean, spacious, beautiful home.

Brad's property was lovely. The view from the top porch is top notch - we were able to see fireworks all across the valley on July 4th. He was very easy to communicate with - the house was sparkling clean and beds comfortable. Very convenient to grocery stores, area attractions, hiking options, Asheville, etc. Seemed like everything we wanted to do was no more than a 30 minute drive. Would definitely stay at this property again!

My work crew of 4 gentlemen felt the VRBO home was great! It was wonderful for them to have a "comfortable home" to go to at the end of a busy work day. The communication before arrival was great, the owner was helpful in many recommendations and answering questions. The guys loved the views from the porch while eating breakfast. The house was very clean and well supplied, especially the kitchen. Thank you for a great place for my crew.

We rented this property for a group for the weekend of the Green Race, a whitewater kayaking event on the nearby Green River. It was clean, comfortable, and charming. The kitchen had everything we needed, and I will again note that it was so clean! It has a relaxing porch with lovely views of the surrounding area. The property manager was friendly and so helpful. It was the perfect spot for the weekend.

I took my 91 year old Nana (with walker) and her 87 year old sister, my Great Aunt, for a vacation to view the leaves in their fall gorgeousness. I was also accompanied by my mom, Aunt, and 2 cousins. Quite a few of my family had mobility issues of some sort. The home was perfect for their limited mobility.
The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we would need. The back porch was heaven to enjoy looking out at the view. We enjoyed the most beautiful sunrises every morning. One of our most favorite experiences at the house was that we got to see one of the rare white squirrels. Pretty awesome! When we went on adventures, everything was incredibly close and an easy drive.
Brad, the host, was such a wonderful help. We had a couple of minor things happen and he was immediately responsive and more than helpful. Our trip was perfection and we will be booking again.

This rental is very clean, on top of a hill with a great view of the mountains, quiet, spacious, stocked kitchen. Owner was prompt to answer questions and gave detailed info. Highly recommend this rental for friends of family.
