About this cottage rental

This Four Room Cottage is set in a Magical Canopy of Live Oak and Magnolia Trees just one street back from the Ocean with easy Beach access.

The romantic and newly redecorated cottage has one Queen Bed; a Full Bath; Living/Kitchen combination; and a Sun Room.

After a day of Surf and Sun you'll return to rinse off in the Outdoor Shower, relax with a drink or meal on the large shaded Deck or lounge in the Hammock and enjoying a unique Island Experience.

A comfortable (yes, really) air mattress is available upon request to sleep a third person if desired. It automatically inflates/deflates so it’s easy to use. We provide extra linens, pillows, & bedding as well.

Couldn’t ask for more! This Folly rental is unique because it’s tucked under a protective grove of trees, whoch keeps you cool on hot days and sheltered from the wind. We pretty much lived between the shady front deck and the cozy little sunroom, which was especially magical during a thunderstorm. We walked to the beach frquently too, it’s only a block away! I cook a lot on vacation and found that there was pretty much everything you could need including a knife set, colander, and cheese grater. I would bring your own cooking oil and spices. We loved it and can’t wait to come back!!

We loved the cozy little cottage among the trees! The big Live Oak, Palm, and Magnolias provided wonderful shade. The cottage was cute and had everything we needed. And most of all we appreciated the owner allowing us to bring our little dog, Simon. Thank you again, Leslie, David and Simon!

This is not a fancy place, clean and mostly comfortable, but in need of some small updates and upgrades, like the bed pillows, linens, and the furniture layout. Location is excellent, and the breakfast nook area was awesome. Felt like I was in a treehouse, and it was my favorite place in the mornings. Lot is beautiful, and the patio is amazing.

Nastiest place I’ve ever stayed. Place needs to be condemned. Black mold everywhere. Dirty floors, ceiling fans, and black grout. Mice poop in the bathroom. We left early because we couldn’t sleep there due to the filth. False advertising!!

Perfect for our mother daughter getaway! So close to the beach it is practically in your backyard. The cottage is small, adorable and charming. The deck and outdoor shower were super nice. We recommend renting a golf cart for easy trips to center street. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We would stay here again!

Second visit to the Wee Nest. Charming cottage on magnolia and oak double lot. Walkable to the shops and restaurants but quiet and peaceful. One block from the beach-lovely outdoor deck, sunroom reading nook and caring responsive owner. We will return !

This tiny house is very private and located a five minute walk to the beach and 15 min walk to shops and restaurants. The space itself is fine for a couple but the house needs much work. It has so much potential to be a great little place but currently is quite run down. As another guest mentioned it needs maintenance and TLC.

Super cute and perfect for a weekend getaway. The house is very private and a block from a public beach access. We loved the huge porch to hang out on and the outdoor shower was fantastic! Tim was very kind and responsive.

Had a great 3 night stay at this quaint little cottage! Wonderful location for exploring Charleston without staying in the city. Nice and quiet place with awesome walks on the beach right there!! Folly Beach has cool little shops and great food!!

Really cute place and secluded but close to beach. My only complaint was we visited in December and the heating unit wasn't working. The owner had left two space heaters but in such a tiny place you had to be careful to not run into them. I also think we should have been told about the heat situation before we arrived.Because we didn't want to run the heaters all night( we had our dog with us) it was pretty cold until it warmed up in the afternoons. If there had been heat, the place would have been just as advertised.

We loved wee rest! It's small, but still bigger than a hotel suite and offers so much more character and comfort than any hotel. The deck is incredible and a great outdoor social space.

We had a fantastic time. Literally steps from the ocean! The property is small and has everything needed for a beach getaway. There is a lovely and huge patio under a canopy of trees, with delightful lights for the evening. A zip into Charleston, and great local food too. No frills, the star of the show is the beach, the ocean, and the proximity to downtown Charleston. Super! Tim was a gracious and responsive host, we truly had a great time. The property is something special, and you can bring your dog. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed at Wee Rest for our mini-moon, and it was nothing short of dreamy! There was a tropical storm/hurricane coming before our trip, and Tim was super helpful with updating us. The property is secluded by beautiful trees and the deck is perfect for having a drink/meal and relaxing. Our favorite part was the charming little sunroom, ideal for reading, napping, or playing games. The interior has everything you need for a beach getaway, and you have easy access to the gorgeous beach. We wished we could’ve stayed longer! Thanks, Tim!

The cottage is as relaxing as it can be. We sat on deck in the morning and watched the parade of folks going to the beach through the trees. It’s a quick trip … 8 blocks to center st. I recommend the cottage for a weekend away with no worries!

We loved the “hide away” and privacy of the house.. outdoor lighting , deck was super cozy Nice decor touches inside and out.. loved the retro fridge and mini sink in bathroom… felt very homey and had everything we needed! Very dog friendly … and the sunroom was everyones favorite spot! This rental is perfect for 2 people and dogs! Very close to beach and easy to rinse off dogs at front door shower! We will stay again! The house is nice enough. It's very small, but it's what you would expect from the listing. However, don't be fooled by the claim of a fenced in yard. The fence is in disrepair to the point that my dog got out through a hole in the fence, and the gates are held together with bungee cords. The major issues were with the property owner himself. He came onto the property, unannounced, multiple times throughout our stay to put the trash cans out by the curb, and who knows what else. We were not told that he would be coming onto the property, nor were we given a heads up that he was there. We just noticed things moved around with no explanation. The biggest issue was that on our last day, a pest control service came and started spraying the property without our knowledge. Chemicals were sprayed on our stuff and we had to deal with a big hassle. A word of advice, don't book this property expecting privacy or consideration. It basically feels like paying thousands of dollars to be an unappreciated house guest. Go somewhere else, and you'll have a better trip.

The deck area is really dirty. The yard is a mess. There are squirrels in the attic that run around during the night. The lights flicker. The shower has mold. It needs heavy cleaning.

This was the perfect place for a quick weekend getaway for my spouse and I, it is the perfect size for a weekend of rest and relaxation. In a perfect spot on the street for you to be secluded enough in the beautiful foliage and hammock to take it all in. This esthetically pleasing, quaint little house is a beautiful place to stay and we recommend it for a quick small family stay. We will definitely be back.
