If you're looking for the perfect family/friends vacation, then the Sand Castle Villa is for you. It is a private single family home, so the grounds are share with No One. This Spanish style home can comfortably accommodate 6-9 guests. Take a dip in the large recreational swimming pool, barbecue in our outdoor pool side kitchen/gazebo, catch the sunset on the roof deck, or take a short walk to Corcega (Rincon's swimming beach) less than 200 yards away. The Sand Castle Villa is conveniently located near all; supermarkets, banks, restaurants, liquor store, pharmacy, video store, surfing beaches and nightlife. Also available nearby is a running track, gym, horseback riding, bike & surf board rentals, jet ski & banana boat rides, scuba diving, snorkeling, and charter boats for fishing. All you need to bring is your bathing suit and flip flops and enjoy the laid back Surfing town of Rincon, Puerto Rico.
FYI; The house is fully equipped with all bedding, bath and pool towels and all kitchen needs but the food. Please be advised that we do not supply any additional toiletries or household supplies such as garbage bags, charcoal for grill, or laundry detergent. We do provide 2 rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom and a roll of paper towels for kitchen, dishwashing liquid and a few garbage bags and dishwasher detergent. Please if anything was left over from previous guest or cleaning crew feel free to use during your stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sand Castle Villa. The home was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. The pool was perfect and clean. The outdoor kitchen with the charcoal grill, counter space, sink, and refrigerator was the perfect set up. The short walk to the beach was convenient which by the way was clean and private. Restaurants, shops, groceries were within a 10 minute walk or two minute drive. Would definitely visit again and highly recommended you do as well. Previous reviews noted issues with barking dogs; we did not experience any issues with barking dogs.

This was one of the nicest short-term rental houses we’ve ever stayed in. We loved it. It is organized well, comfortable, is beautiful, has everything you need, and in a great area.
There are 6 of us and we fit well in the three bedrooms. The rooftop is breathtaking and very comfortable to spend time on and relax. Even if it rains, you are covered and have plenty of room. The pool is clean and beautiful. The living room is comfortable, there are TVs everywhere and the showers work well. There is A/C in the bedrooms and living room which all work well. Parking is easy, plenty of room for two cars in the gated driveway.
The neighborhood feels very safe. I’ve seen the neighbors dogs in other reviews but we barely heard them and when we did, it wasn’t in the morning. There are areas at the end of the block with upscale food trucks and food stalls (They are good but not cheap). The beach at the other end of the block is perfect. Calm water, plenty of room to sit, and so close. There is a grocery store two minutes away along with other bakeries, stores and restaurants.
We were there for a week and ventured out quite a bit. Surf lessons in Rincon, Cave kayaking in Utualdo, Bio-luminescent swimming and Kayaking in La Parguera, and walking around the town center in Rincon. The house provided the perfect home base for those activities and a perfect place to relax on quiet days.

Our party of 6, 4 adults and 2 older children visited this property for a week. The house and grounds are beautiful and very well appointed with everything we needed. The hosts were available anytime we needed anything and never when we didn't. This is a great location for visiting western Puerto Rico. The beaches in the area are terrific.

This place exceeded my expectations. Great location to the beach and places to eat. Grocery store right down the street. We wanted for nothing at this home. The pool perfect temperature surrounded by beautiful plants. Family felt very safe there. Kitchen well supplied and having the grill was a plus. I plan to rebook it when I can. Thanks Zulima!

This is our second time staying here and it was just as perfect as the first. The house is clean and has everything we needed. The location is our favorite in Rincon with the beautiful sunsets at the little beach down the road and the quick access to town. We loved being able to walk to the bakery and food trucks and relaxing by the pool. Zulima is so helpful and responsive and we will of course be back again!

We loved staying at Sand Castle Villa, choosing to return there fir a second visit. The location is very convenient and the property is exceptional. We especially enjoy the variety of spaces, including the covered outdoor kitchen area that seats 8, a lovely pool with attractive lounge chairs, and a rooftop deck. The setting is also very private. The beds and towels are luxurious, the property is very clean and well-cared for, and the appliances (especially the laundry facilities) are excellent.

We stayed spetember 8th to the 14th. We felt very safe from the hurricane and because the beach was rough a couple days the pool came in very handy. We wanted for nothing. The house made our stay one of the best vacations. Plenty of room and luxurious. We would stay here again for sure. Thank you!

We loved Sandcastle Villa and the outdoor lounge areas were awesome! We have been to Rincon may times and this was a great property to enjoy it from - convenient to grocery stores and lovely beaches and restaurants. Only a couple of minor annoyances - dogs next door bark loudly in the morning and kitchen could use some task lighting and better pans and knives to make cooking easier. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were nice. Overall, great place!

The house was wonderful. Very clean and has all amenities, like tea kettle, keurig, pans etc that you would need. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the air conditioning in bedrooms and downstairs family room worked great. The backyard and pool area was wonderful for having daiquiris after the beach. The rooftop couches were nice for hanging out in the evening .
The location is about a 10 min walk into town if that, very easy. The grocery store and a little surf shop and a good place to eat called From Scratch, was just across and down the street. Easy walk or drive and has everything you need.
Although The beach is technically at the end of the streeet, about 6 houses away, you can only watch the sunset on the rocks there. There is no per se real beach to set up chairs on. For that you have to go down toward the beach, make a right on that first street, and then walk almost to end, make a left to the beach and then walk a bit on some rocks and then there is a nice big beach. The surfing beaches are nice but they are not very wide and you have to be careful where you set up your chairs so your stuff doesn’t get wet from incoming tide.
I know others mentioned the dogs next store to the house but I did not understand the full extent of them until I was there. There are about 3-5 dogs in the property next door. The first day while we stayed by the pool they barked quite a bit. After that we were gone all day and would come back @ 4 pm and they were pretty quiet then. However please note they bark every morning anywhere from 6-7 am. It woke us up every day especially my 18 year old daughter whose room was closest. I would definitely bring a little sound machine for whoever stays in the room with queen bed as that helps. They stop @ 7 am but by then you are already up. That is certainly not the fault of the owner of this wonderful house but you should know about it. There are also a few cats that wander around. They are very well behaved and don’t bother you.
We had 2 wonderful meals at Beach House. Teens in our party liked Stoked for ice coffees and smoothies.
Plenty of towels for pool and beach.

I gave a 4 star instead of 5 only because of a couple things.
1. No A/C in the bathrooms. I sweat bad and by the time I got done showering I needed another shower. We stayed in late November so I could not have stood it in the summer!
2. The neighbor dogs bark very loud and often. This is not something the property owner can do anything about but the dogs did wake us every morning at around 6 or 7.
3. The driveway gate was having issues running off the track which we dealt with every time we used it.
Now the good!
The place has everything you will need and very clean! We had a fabulous time even with the few minor issues. Yes I would book again around the same time of year but definitely not in the summer for me!

Expectations exceeded
After reading all of the reviews I had high hopes for this home and stay…I can say it far exceeded my expectations. The home is gorgeous, just steps to the beach, stores, and restaurants. There is a binder neatly organized with EVERYTHING you need to know about the house and area complete with menus from restaurants and brochures for excursions which was much appreciated. My family and I came to Rincon as part of my daughter’s graduation trip and our anniversary. It was my my husband and I, our 21 yo son, 19 yo son, 18 yo old daughter and her boyfriend. They all said this was the best vacation ever and nothing could top it. They want me to book again for next year but “it has to be the same house”. My boys loved the top deck (I did too and drank my delicious Puerto Rican coffee up there every morning) and loved the walk ability of the area. They are very outgoing and said everyone they talked to were so cool and chill. They loved Rincon’s “vibe”. The home had everything you could want or need for the pool and beach. Just steps from the house was the beautiful beach that was never crowded with gorgeous sunset views in the evening. Just to the left of the beach was Villa Cofresi that my daughter and her boyfriend went to pretty much every day which had wonderful food and drinks and to the right you could walk past the rocks to other beautiful beaches. Tres palmas Marine Reserve was a short 7 minute drive that we spent all afternoon snorkeling at. The pool was big and perfect at night after long days at the beach. I could go on and on about it but just book it and experience it for yourself…you won’t be disappointed. We cannot wait to get back to Rincon! Excellent Stay
Everything was exactly as pictured and more!!! My Family & i were so happy with this home. Very clean, private and worked out PERFECTLY for Family time. It is exactly as i invisioned. The pool was an added bonus, very clean and well kept, along with everything else outside with it. There was more then enough seating for everyone, and the outside dining area with mini fridge was awesome. The only thing that threw us off was the Charcoal bbq grill LOL!!! But my husband eventually figured it out, for we are accustomed to gas grills. But all in all our stay was Perfect and will definetly stay again when in Puerto Rico😊

We were traveling with a 4 month old, for the first time, so we were very selective with the experience we were looking for; quaint, quiet, conveniently located and family friendly. Wonderful visit
Beautiful home, short walk to a great beach (awesome sunsets), nice pool (with iguanas watching, lol), plenty of towels. Easy walk to downtown, short drive to nature preserve and Rincon lighthouse. Across the street from Econo (groceries), Rincomeni Bakery, Marcos Pizza, a gastropark and more. In short, a perfect location, fantastic accomodations, responsive host. (My daughter lived on PR for about a year and wanted to show us the island. We had 8 of us stay--parents, five kids, and her husband--and had plenty of space.) Met every expectation and helped ensure a relaxing vacation.

Amazing Stay!
This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Sand Castle Villa and it was more exciting than the first. I had more family come down with me this time and they were enamored with the property and the location. Rincon is a beautiful beach town and the restaurants are awesome. Home Away from Home
The property was just as described, and the pictures were accurate as well. The house was well stocked and very clean. The location was perfect for us since it was our first time to the area, so having the grocery store just down the road a bit was perfect. Downtown was just a 2-minute drive to all the restaurants and shops (it is walkable but, in the heat, you may not want to attempt). We love the ocean/beach (which was about 5 houses away, short walk) but having kids along for the trip it's an added bonus to have the private pool, so that when they need to take a nap, you still are able to enjoy the sunshine by lounging around the pool area. The yard was well manicured, and the cabana area was perfect for those who like to be outside but are mindful of too much sun.
I tend to read reviews before booking a house when we plan our trips. So, I will add this one drawback, which I will stress is not the owner's fault, they don't have control over their neighbors'. The neighbors' dogs bark when anyone or animal walk by and they tend to leave them out in the early evening and very early morning (probably because it's cool in comparison to daytime heat).
All in all, it was a lovely home, and we look forward to staying here next time we visit.

The house is super clean & extremely spacious! The balcony off the two bedrooms are Awesome to enjoy your morning coffee & the sun! At night we would go to the top level & enjoy some breeze & music on the comfortable outdoor furniture! Let me not forget the pool & grill area, great laughs & food! Amazing Place!
This is our second time as a family renting this house! It definitely fits all your needs on vacation , centrally located which makes it easy to go shopping or grab a bite to eat. Just a few steps up the block and you’re right on the beach.

My family and I had a great time here! We were very happy that the supermarket, food trucks, and the beach were all within walking distance and the kids enjoyed going to the pool, just about every day! Wonderful getaway!
This was our second trip to Rincon but our first stay in this beautiful home! Also, our first time traveling to PR with kids (5 years and 9 months) The house is even better in person. It’s lovely, very clean (hand soap at every sink, sanitizer, and sanitizer wipes!), and very comfortable. The pool and outdoor spaces are amazing. We especially loved having breakfast at the outdoor dining table. We loved having so many pool toys, floats, beach chairs, and even umbrellas. The beach is SO close, right at the end of the street. And it’s an awesome beach for swimming, one of the calmer ones in Rincon. The house has lots of extra linens and towels. Walking distance to restaurants, food trucks, a bakery, and a grocery store. We loved that there was a highchair and pack and play at the house. We enjoyed looking for iguanas in the trees from the pool area. You will not be disappointed in Rincon sunsets! I was pleasantly surprised how serious they take covid in PR, I think only 30% capacity in stores and restaurants. Temperature checks and sanitizer upon entry everywhere. Make sure to fill out your travel forms before you arrive and it’s very easy to get out of the airport. Can’t wait to come back!

This place was amazing. The house is beautiful and footsteps away from the beach. Our closest friends got engaged and we celebrated at the gorgeous house and back yard.
