Situated in the Garden of England in the Sevenoaks High Weald, on the edge of the rolling North Downs, this holiday property is ideally placed for visiting a plethora of National Trust properties, including Knole House, set in the only remaining medieval deer park in Kent and also one of the filming locations for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’, where the large inner courtyard was filled with gallows. Discover Chartwell, Churchills much loved family home, the 13th century, double-moated Hever Castle, childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Penshurst Place and Chiddingstone Castle, which all offer year-round family themed activities. 7 miles north of Sevenoaks is Lullingstone Roman villa, where guests can have a look at the 4th century underfloor heating in the bathroom. Brands Hatch offers bike or car racing, or experience the circuit yourself on a track day. Pubs, restaurants and leisure facilities, including swimming pools and golf, are all available locally. There are good rail connections to London and the coast, including day trips to the continent, which can be reached in about 1 hour. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Fabulous place in a beautiful part of the country. We had 10 people in total and the cottage was absolutely perfect. It was beautifully done, with plenty of sleeping space and three bathroom/shower rooms it had enough space for everyone to claim their own spot and a nice kitchen and living room space for us to come together. A lovely back garden for the kids to run and close to many footpaths for the wanderers. It's only a couple miles from the train station with a straight run into London and lots of great attractions nearby. We had a brilliant fortnight here and would definitely return.

A great place for 10 of us (5 adults, 5 kids plus a dog) to spend a week. Lovely large garden, super games room, comfortable lounge and well equipped kitchen. Two of the bedrooms and bathroom super, two others and their shared bathroom could benefit from a little TLC. Great to be able to sleep three kids in the games room. Lots to see and do in the local area - especially if you have National Trust membership.
