We loved our stay here. It is close to San Marco Square and very convenient to the famous Rialto Bridge. Carlos met us exactly where he said he would. He was friendly and very funny. The beds were comfortable, sheets and towels were clean. You are right on the canal. Views were picture perfect. We booked a tour with Monica and she took us around Venice. She is extremely charming, warm and inviting like the apartment. We appreciated her knowledge of the city too. I would recommend this place if you want to be immersed in Venice.

The location was ideal, the furnishings were elegant but also very comfortable, and the host was very responsive throughout the entire process. Brother-in-law Luca who helped us check in provided many helpful suggestions and was most gracious. The views from the windows were even better than in the posted photographs. The canal outside of the living room and master bedroom was the route for the gondolas- so we often heard musicians performing as they floated past us. Stay here and you will have the ultimate Venetian experience. On a practical note - market and coffee shops close by, plenty of hot water and wonderful showers,WiFi worked really well, very very spacious, air-conditioner in the master bedroom kept us cool in the unseasonably warm weather. We will definitely want to stay here on our next trip to Venice! Thank you, Carlo!

We really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO in Venice this last week of July! It is right on the canal and you can look out your windows and see and hear the gondola's going by. Nice to have two bathrooms with showers in each and three bedrooms for our family of 5. The property gives you plenty of space and is decorated so beautifully. The airport lost our luggage and had to deliver to our VRBO that evening. The property managers were so helpful with making sure we got it and understanding that we were a little late meeting them because if it. I would definitely recommend this property!

We have been to Venice 4 times with our daughters and said this was the best apartment so far!! The location was perfect and the apartment views were beautiful! We stayed here the last week in June, we were worried about not having ac but the master bedroom has ac and there is a fan and we sleep great!

This very spacious apartment is perfectly located down a quiet alley with a private courtyard in the heart of all Venice has to offer. The canal views were absolutely incredible from every window (except the bedroom on the courtyard). Watching the gondolas from our window was the favorite part of our stay! The antique furnishings and the space look exactly like the photos. However, the description is misleading by listing air conditioning as an amenity. Upon arrival, Luca informed us about a policy that the air conditioning cannot be turned on until June 15 (we were staying from June 11-14). I would not have booked this apartment had I known that. As a result, the windows needed to be open most of the time which led to a struggle with mosquitoes and early morning noise. This is a very busy canal and is extremely loud beginning at sunrise at 5:30am every morning. With the windows open, it was impossible to sleep through the loud work boats. Also, the 9:45am check-out time was a strain on us, but Luca allowed us to leave our bags in the lobby until noon.

A wonderful stay in Venice; it was tempting to just sit in the living room and watch the gondolas go by. The location is great; one minute to Piazza San Marco and two minutes to Rialto, with only one bridge in each direction. Despite the throngs of tourists in Venice, the apartment located down a quiet alley provided a welcome break from the crowds. Located above a 4-way canal intersection, there was no doubt we were in Venice. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well-furnished with beautiful antiques, and the small kitchen allowed us to have breakfast with a view each morning. Our terrific host, Carlo, was friendly, helpful, and responsive and helped make our stay more enjoyable. The apartment is perfect for a small family; we recommend highly.

The place is by a very busy canal and next to a hotel. Therefore traffic and noises begin 5:30 am to deliver goods to the hotel & water taxi to pick up & drop off visitors. I would close the windows to get a good night rest and to avoid the mosquitoes. Then use the fan to cool off. I would not use the Rialto Bridge to meet the host (per his request). I would use the station by the Piazza San Marco. This will cut downs on the hundreds steps. The apartment is on the first floor which you need to take another 15(?) steps. The apartment was nice and large enough for my family of 5 (all adults). This apartment is not suitable for children so they don't damage the place. As some items look very fragile. The host will ask for your passport upon arrival to take photos. Hope that helps and enjoy Venice. Our family did. Bon Voyage!

The views of the canals from this apartment are amazing! We loved just looking out the windows! It's located right in the heart of Venice so it's easy walking to restaurants, shops and sights. The apartment was very clean and looked just like the photos. It's very spacious and was comfortable for 4 adults. Carlo was easy to work with and did a great job getting us settled in. His wife Monica took us on a tour & did a lovely job too. We would defintley stay in this aparement again!

This apartment is located in the heart of Venice, with beautiful canal views and is the perfect location for exploring Venice on foot. It is minutes from San Marco, but when we stayed in January, it was a peaceful and comfortable oasis. The apartment was perfect for four adults. It was clean, with a well appointed kitchen for preparing meals and coffee, although there are numerous good restaurants, cafes and pasticcerias in the neighborhood. Carlo and Monica were great hosts. We took an an amazing tour of the outer islands with Monica, and Carlo's instructions on how to use the Moka worked well and it was delicious! The beds were comfortable and the water hot, just needs a bit of time time come up to temperature. The sounds of Venice life coming from the boats on the canal just added to the ambiance. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone wanting to explore Venice and experience its daily life.

An elegant home with great view of canal. Carlo supper nice and easy to organize arrival. Safe and charming home. Felt right at home. Challenge to find where to toss the trash but once Found and after easy.

We recently stayed in Monica and Carlo’s apartment during our vacation in Venice. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Communication with either Monica or Carlo prior to arrival was fantastic. Day of our arrival, Luca (Monica’s brother) met us at the water taxi to help us with our luggage and show us to the apartment and get us checked in. We were floored when we arrived, this apartment was once Monica and Luca’s family home and it is not only large, but it is filled with lovely antiques and decor. It surrounds you in old world charm while you stay. We stayed as a family of four, with our two teenage boys and everyone had their own space. While the apartment itself is lovely and large, it is the views outside your windows that is the show stopper. Almost every window in the apartment overlooks the canals. (It is located where four canals meet) We laughed during our stay watching floods of people stopping to take photos of the bridges and boats and gondola’s on the canal in this beautiful spot, while we just had to look out our window. It definitely is a true Venice experience and views that you will not get anywhere else. Monica is a licensed tour guide, so we pre-booked her for two tours with our family. First, to give us a city tour one afternoon and then secondly, a private water taxi tour of the islands another morning. She is amazing. Not only is she very informative, but seeing a city through the eyes of a local who loves and appreciates it, allows you a totally different experience. We feel very lucky to have had that time with Monica during our Venice stay. The apartment is in such a fantastic location in Venice, easily walkable to many key attractions. Not to mention, countless places to dine and shop. Book this apartment for a very unique stay during your trip to Venice. You’ll be happy you did! Very nice older apartment in a central location only a few minutes walk to St Marks Square and the Rialto area. Directly overlooking the canals in a walk up 1st floor location. The 3 bedroom apartment was well equipped and very clean. There is an air conditioner in the master bedroom. A few small issues were some mosquitoes around (during our stay in May) and the guest shower not functioning. Otherwise this was a great property. Carlo the property manager was very friendly and answered all our questions promptly, met us at the water taxi (there’s a stop nearby) and helped with our bags. I highly recommend this property for your stay in Venice!

This three-bedroom, two-bath apartment overlooks four intersecting canals, so it was as if we were floating on our own private gondola ride no matter which window we looked out from. Gondoliers paddled past our antique-decorated rooms, and the hosts provided excellent information for our orientation. Monica is a guide in the city and swept in to save us when a prearranged tour cancelled at the very last minute. THANKFULLY! She was bright, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and VERY fun. Not only had she grown up in the apartment we were renting, but her grandfather was the very man who put Archangel Gabriel's statue atop the bell tower in St. Mark's Square! This is a place of rich history in a fantastic location. The apartment's water did take a while to heat up, but it did heat just fine. We had warm showers and were able to do dishes and enjoy our stay completely. Trash in Venice is tricky, but there is information to navigate it, and I downloaded the app recommended on the map they left for us. I felt like a local as I followed other neighbors and found our daily trash barge. No problem! Carlo, Monica and Luca were all really terrific hosts who went WAY above and beyond to make our welcome to Venice very warm. Their messages came to us in the US long before our visit to make sure we were comfortable and ready to come. I felt more like I was visiting family than renting an unknown property, and it was in a beautiful "floating" apartment over the Venice canals. Wow!

If you only care about location. This is great. It’s an authentic Italian OLD flat. Limited heating and air conditioning due to old systems. Took two days to get landlord to turn up boiler enough for hot showers. No tv except old tube unit barely able to play a dvd. Lights are very old and electric sockets the same. No new amenities. There is a washing machine and you can ask for a drying wrap to sit in front of living room window. The view on the canal is pretty, but you will hear the boats starting and running in the early am. Restaurants and grocery nearby and you can see St Marks bell tower. Winter cold or summer hot I wouldn’t recommend this, find modern units for heating and cooling. Large living room and two baths are convenient for 4 of us. Wife Monica is a tour guide and excellent in coordinating tours of out islands on private boat. Really enjoyed it.

Location was great between Rialto bridge and St Marks Square but there was no hot water. By the time, it got fixed, three of us had to take ice cold showers!! And we were surprised to arrive e and learn about the energy fees. The owner shows you the meter reading and then once you leave, you have to pay cash for the costs for the energy usage.

Their home is spacious, clean and accommodated 5 of us easily. The views out the windows of the canals was a special treat. The location was very central and convenient. We would stay here again! You’re right by the Rialto Bridge area and also right by St. Mark’s. So close to everything! With canals and gondolas outside of your windows, this is a wonderful place to stay! Plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! My family of four adults loved staying here! I Loved the location. It was only a 5 min walk to St Marco Sq. It was clean and wonderful. The views were amazing just watching the boat in the canal and the people walking over the bridges out the family room windows. Wonderful place.

Almost zero pantry supplies (2 rolls TP, no paper towels, soap, etc.). No air conditioner as listed resulting in so many mosquito bites I feared they were bed bugs. Not a sheet in the house, only heavy duvets. The owner did offer to help us find a Dr. but we were able to find a tourist MD with unexpected ease , a short walk away.

Nice apartment with plenty of space. Living area nicely decorated and comfortable. There are stairs to the apartment. Monica, owner of the property with Carlo, conducts lovely, informative tours.

Could not be better with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. Canals just below living room kitchen and 2 bedroom windows and courtyard on opposite side. Hosts were great. Highly recommended.

The apartment was so great! Carlo and Monica were amazing! We loved the location. It was so close to everything. We were there for 3 days and we paid Monica to take us around to the see the local sites. She has so much knowledge of the area. There were 3 of us and we used every room. The last night was a bit stuffy but we were able to close off the doors to the two rooms in the hall and cool both rooms on that side of the house with the air conditioner in the "master" bedroom. The other room was cooled by the portable unit. It was a bit loud but it served its purpose. If/when we come back to Venice we will stay here again. Every night we heard the gondoliers singing and we watched as the boats floated through the canal all day. I can't say enough about how great this location is. Thank you Carlo and Monica for helping us make our vacation a very memorable one. This is truly a charming Venice flat.

If you want to wake up to the sounds of gondoliers singing right out your window this is the property for you! There were many windows in this apartment each with a unique view of this wonderful city. Location was right on canals, close walk to San Marco and Rialto. Very spacious apartment, clean, well equipped and comfortable beds! Carlo was VERY accommodating- when our luggage was lost and delivered to our apartment he stayed in touch with us and airline courier with details of delivery. Highly recommend this apartment!! Thank you Carlo!! Hope to return someday:)

This apartment was centrally located and very spacious internally. A typically Venetian interior, it was quite dark but had ample and comfortable facilities for the 5 of us. Highly recommended.

Perfect location half way between Rialto and San Marco. Great appartement with amazing view on a crossroad of canals directly from the windows. We could hear the gondoliers singing. The apartment was everything we had hope it would be and more. The location was perfect between San Marco and Rialto. Luca was waiting for us at Rialto and helped with our luggage. We was very complete with his information about the apartment and very professional and charming. It was like we made a good friend. I could not have made a better choice when booking this apartment. We were 5 friends traveling together, two couples and one single. The accommodations were perfect for us. The location very central and the apartment comfortable, well-appointed, and spacious. Luca met us at the boat and guided us to the apartment, and oriented us to the house and the neighborhood. The next morning we had engaged Carlo’s wife Monica for an “off the beaten track” tour of Venice. Monica was charming and informative and gave us a great behind the scenes look at Venice. We highly recommend her services. We particularly enjoyed the views just outside our living room window. We witnessed two wedding parties, one engagement proposal on the bridge, and many singing gondoliers as they sailed past our windows. It was magical. When we didn’t want to hear the bustle of Venice any more, we closed the almost soundproof windows. We spent 4 nights in this beautiful city walking miles every day and enjoying it all. Carlo arranged for a boat taxi to get us back to the airport for an early morning flight. We would recommend this apartment and this time of year to visit. We were blessed with beautiful weather and not yet impossible crowds. Hint: take advantage of this fantastic location by going out exploring in the morning and returning “home” early afternoon to escape the hordes. Rest, eat, drink, and listen to the songs of Venice as they float past your windows. Go back out at 6 or 7 when the day visitors have left. We loved our 5 days in Venezia.

We will definitely go back! The apartment is spacious with some of the best canal views we have experienced in Venice. Very clean and tidy with everything you would expect in a traditional Venetian apartment but with air conditioning. Half way between the Rialto and San Marco, just off one of the streets joining the two. Far enough away to be lovely and quiet. Carlo the owner was very friendly, meeting us at the taxi stop and taking his time showing us the apartment, main shops and restaurants on the 2 minute route to the apartment. We couldn't have asked for more.
