About this house rental
Beautiful house on the beach, lower level. Ocean right outside your door, uncrowded private beach with a historic boardwalk in front of property. Alamitos Bay across the street for swimming and boating, views of Catalina,& downtown LB. Located on Long Beach’s desirable Peninsula, surrounded by 3 bodies of water. Hideaway for locals, and multi million $$ homes. Quiet, safe residential area. Relax under a large covered patio while enjoying ocean sea breezes! Spacious 3 BR./2 BA, entire lower duplex. I live upstairs in the upper unit) hardwood floors throughout , a new Samsung French door refrigerator and all new queen mattresses and linens. Open floor plan, fully furnished, large modern kitchen with Granite peninsula bar, updated bathrooms, 3 LED TV’s ( 2 bedrooms have TV’s, Ideal location , only 50 min away from Hollywood , 30 min. To Disneyland and Orange County. 1 off street parking behind house, in a tandem driveway. Park up to orange cones and next to beige wall. My car is parked parallel of garage , both cars can get out easily). All other cars , ample street parking. Webber charcoal grill. Volleyballs for beach volleyball , smash ball,Beach chairs, boggie boards, beach toys . Bikes , kayaks and stand up paddle boards ,with instruction) are available 5 min away . I live upstairs with my husband, Paul and my 2 small dogs, Rosie and Nikki. I respect your privacy, but am easily available for questions and needs. I enjoy helping people plan the trip of their dreams! Quiet residential area. Friendly neighbors, that enjoy their privacy.Quiet hours after 10 pm , no loud music or talking on deck. Not a house for parties or gatherings over 8. A car is recommended to get groceries, and sight see. There is a liquor/ convenience store and coffee shop , 5 min. walk, to “Vibes”, great breakfast and lunch on 62 nd street.) Can also walk to 2nd street in Belmont Shore along the beach to dine al fresco . Many restaurants deliver. City Bike share also available 5 min. walk away. Uber and Lyft pick up quickly and are easy to get.We now have a free shuttle that will pick up and take you to Belmont Shore or Downtown long Beach, both an easy 5/10 min. Drive

We wanted to take a mini vacation with our elderly parents who can’t travel anymore so We picked this property locally because of it having “Unobstructed ocean views and because of positive feedback about the property manager. It wasn’t clear on the website where to park so we called Marianne who very nice to guide us. We check in to find out that there are sand dunes that block all views of the ocean. I called Marianne again to explain that this was a problem for us. A man came to us who wasn’t very courteous to me and was very condescending although I very respectfully told him that we drove 2 hours with our parents to have ocean views. He said that I already told him that many times! I told him once because he didn’t seem to understand the hardship and disappointment that we were feeling. It cost us a lot for those 2 days. He gave me an option to leave right that minute, which was going to be too hard in my parents to head back in Friday traffic at 4:30 pm or stay for 1 night and leave in the morning. He rudely told me “ you aren’t going to stay for free” to which I responded “ of course not, that wouldn’t be fair”. I explained to him that I wished they notified me that the views were obstructed which is different from the Vrbo website listing. He said it wasn’t his fault and the city put dunes up weeks ago when there was a hurricane warning. They refunded me 1 night so I paid a lot for 1 night from 4 pm till 10:30 am with no ocean view& I was disrespected

We had a great stay at this lovely home. Would highly recommend. There is so much to do for all ages, we enjoyed the bay side with our younger kids and also the boogie boards in the ocean. Host are fantastic and very responsive.

Property owner is very nice and easy to communicate with but the rental property is not very clean couches and cushions were dirty. 2 bedrooms other then master bedroom sheets were not clean. Water pitcher in the kitchen was dirty. Dog hair were all over the place. Bathroom doors get locked, my son got locked in the bathroom at night and got panicked. My mom also got locked in that bathroom. That was very frustrating. I should have asked for some refund back.

We enjoyed this lovely beach home. The home itself was very comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The sand near the house was nice and clean for the kids to play in. Volleyball net very close. We’d stay again.

This is a great location for the privacy and comfort. Long Beach is NOT a pretty beach. The city is refurbishing the beach so there are dump trucks racing back and forth all day long on the beach. The sand is a dirt color and nearer the shore, there is a lot of trash. There are many container ships and oil platforms within sight.
The house is lovely and clean and near great restaurants and shops. The owner Marianne responds quickly and clearly. The check in and out process was very easy.

Beautiful house, just like the pictures. Marianne was so gracious as to let us stay an extra night after an emergency trip to the hospital, ( unrelated to our accommodations). Everything needed to cook if you choose to or a walk to 2nd street to many fabulous restaurants. Nice ocean breezes and sleeping to the sound of the waves crash on the beach was amazing. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely Wonderful
I'm from Long Beach and always wanted to stay on the peninsula so for this trip home I finally treated myself. The place was absolutely wonderful, even better than expected. We could hear the ocean at night and watch the sunset. Thank you Marianne for everything. :)

Great Beach side home, would love to stay again
Everything was great about my stay. The owner left some tea, coffee and a bottle of wine to welcome us. The house was very nice, the pictures do not do the house justice. I would love stay there again!

Great location and stay!
Marianne was great when we checked in. We rented both the top and bottom units. Very convenient location. We brought my children and extended family and had a great time even though we were stuck in the house with the rain. I would absolutely rent this again.

Beach Retreat
Our small family group found this rental very comfortable and accommodating. We daily stepped easily over the boardwalk wall directly onto the sand for wonderful long walks along the ocean. And we walked the boardwalk and around the peninsula too. Loved it.

The property location is wonderful and the house was adorable! It was spacious, had a great layout and view! Marianne the owner was very nice and did her best to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. The place had everything we needed and then some!! Beach was nearly PRIVATE!
I am born and raised in Southern California. My husband not such a fan. Until this trip. There is a very small part of San Diego that he liked and that was it. Literally until now. He had me on Zillow immediately once we came to this location! House is right on the sand. Excellent lay out, dogs were super welcome and happy! Kids loved the place. Such EASY access to freeways. We were mostly there for Anaheim Convention Center but any So Cal destination is easy to get to. We cooked everything on site and dishes and utensils were all available, bring more seasonings if desired. Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and High end grocery Gelson’s were with in 5 minutes. Occasional passer by people walking the path were friendly and affluent. Son caught a fish from shore. Sand Vollyball court out front and almost no one on the beach. Perfect for our sheep dogs and entire family! Marianne even was kind enough to send an item overnight which was left behind. Beds were so super comfy and something got left in the covers :) great pillows too! Thanks!!! We will be back!!!

Awesome Beachfront Pet-Family Property!!
We enjoyed our stay immensely at Marianne's Beachfront Long Beach Ocean Property as we were located right on the boardwalk sand. We could hear the ocean waves from our master front bedroom every night and the sunsets were absolutely glorious!
Three bedrooms boast the best sleeping mattresses and having two separate bathrooms for our daughters who stayed with us was fantastic. We had our 14 year old small dog who slept on sundeck all day and our daughter's new family addition one year old lab who LOVED the dog park just a few blocks from Marianne's property and ironically named the same as our daughter's dog "Rosie's" Dog Park.
We spent many a morning and afternoon playing with the other dogs as our Rosie is from Colorado and a Mountain Dog and had never experienced sand and surf before, it was so much fun watching her "pounce" around in the sand and she made so many new doggie friends, good way to expend her energy and walks at night on the boardwalk made for a comfortable stay.
Beachfront property wanted for nothing and the coffee maker was top of the line, many wonderful seafood restaurants nearby and the Queen Mary dining boat was our favorite! Hummingbirds greeted us every morning at sunrise and every evening at sunset right while we had our morning breakfast and evening fruit bowls watching the waves come in behind them.
People along the boardwalk are so-friendly and we counted people walking by every time greeted us with a warm smile and a wave of welcome. Long Beach itself is the perfect quaint beachfront town offering harbor steps away for kayaks and sailing and the kite boarders were amazing on the weekend. We only wish the city of Long Beach would invest in a beach-scooper trash picker as they have when we lived in Ft. Lauderdale to groom the beachline every morning and evening as our entire country needs to be good stewards for our next generation having everyone reduce-re/use-recycle. Our beaches are one of our greatest natural wonders and we need to treat them as the gift they are the living entity that supports so much sea life crucial to our existence. We watched a blue heron every morning gathering sticks for his nest and what a majestic bird deserving the best our beach has to offer.
We will definitely be back to Marianne's wonderful beachfront home and thank her and her family for allowing us the privilege to stay at such a spectacular property. Thank you it was great!

Fantastic Weekend Getaway!
We had such a fun weekend here! Wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect spot right on the beach. The house is well appointed and the neighborhood is great! We had fun exploring the restaurants on 2nd Ave which is walking distance from the house. Borrowed the bikes and played volleyball on the court right outside of the house. Great place for our family, would love to come again sometime!

Marianne , your home was a perfect get away ( I wish I had snagged the other two nights too ) for myself and my family. I wanted a place at the beach / beach front that was quiet , comfortable , clean, with a view of fireworks for the 4th and you delivered . My mother was comfortable ( we celebrated her 90th birthday on the 5th) , my aunt from Virginia loved walking right out to the water, and we enjoyed the ocean breezes. Your home was very nicely updated and welcoming , it had all the essentials for a relaxing vacation . Marianne , you were so friendly,welcoming,and helpful to us on our arrival . We had a wonderful time , with visits from other family for my mothers birthday, and visits with your sweet dogs. Even though I live right here in Long Beach , I thoroughly enjoyed my beach front staycation and look forward to doing this again with family and friends .

I had put four stars - only because of the construction that was going on next door . Noisy during the weekdays( if it hadn't been a holiday week would've been more of an issue ) and the construction dust made a mess of my car. I changed my rating to five stars because I know the construction is temporary and definitely come back and stay again.

Great vacation place!!!
This beach house was a perfect place for our beach get away. It was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Waking up right on the beach was a perfect way to start the day. Our kids ages 17, 18, 19 & 20 all had a great time!!!
The owners Marianne and Paul were very hospitable and made sure that we were all set up from day one.

Oceanside Relaxing
We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front patio, boardwalk side, listening to the waves. Folks walking the boardwalk were so friendly and we received several compliments on “our” patio drapes! We smiled and said thanks! The house had all the amenities we could have asked for. Very comfortable and relaxing. The owners were very helpful and would stay again in their beautiful beach house.
