Great stay!

Location was very convenient, hosts were great and communicative for us weary travellers. The welcome basket was thoughtful and generous. Loved the Bond theme and we all had a great game of Bond monopoly!

Perfect home away from home to explore Edinburgh

Amazing apartment with every amenity you could wish for. Super location - central yet quiet. And if you are a Bond fan, this shrine of devotionalia is an absolute must. Great hosts and very easy check-in and -out. Any time again!

Wonderful place, just didn't meet our needs.

The location was perfect. We also enjoyed the spaciousness of the flat. It was well stocked and the host was very accessible and responsive.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed that the stairs did not have a railing. My parents had difficulty going up and down without a railing. The beds were not very comfortable at all; they felt like a spring was poking us in the back. Also according to the listing it has 2 king beds and 1 queen bed. The two larger beds were definitely not kings, I believe they are queens and the third bed is only a full/double. That was the biggest disappointment as I would not have booked this place knowing that. One person ended up having to sleep on the couch as there wasn't enough room in the smaller bed for her (my other daughter is tall and both couldn't fit in the smaller bed). This may be an American v British difference, but any hotel we booked during the rest of the stay had king beds that were comparable to the king beds we are accustomed to.

Great home away from home and everything was perfect for our group of 5! Fiona was very helpful and welcoming and could not think of a better place to stay in Edinburgh to explore! Plenty of space and everything was very clean and tidy, hopefully we will be able to stay again one day!

The location was fantastic. Only a 10 minute walk to Waverley station and shops. It was very comfortable and perfect for 6 of us Host was lovely and left us a basket of goodies

only minor issue but found pillows too high and hard. I’ve had back surgery so prefer a softer lower pillow. I went and purchased a couple for myself.

One of the highlights of our anniversary trip to Scotland, the lodging!

The property is huge and so well kept! Our beds were some of the most comfortable of any place other than our own home we've stayed in a long time. Fiona was very communicative and gave great advice on how to reach the location from the airport and met us at almost midnight to show us the apartment and hand over the keys because our flight came in late. We loved the James Bond theme throughout the house and appreciated the welcome gift of sparkling wine and Scottish treats! The location is close to Saint Andrew Square and walking distance to the castle and the Royal Mile but a few blocks off the Fringe Festival going on while we were there, providing a quiet respite for the kids (and us) after a long day exploring Edinburgh. We will keep Escape to Edinburgh at the top of our list for any return trips to the city and would highly recommend this booking to our friends and family.

Amazing, will be back.

The apartment was immaculate, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Lots of nice touches including a welcome hamper with Prosecco and Scottish treats , to a handy tote bag to go out and about shopping with. Fiona kept in touch by txt to ensure she met us on arrival and then showed us round the apartment which felt very welcoming. We loved the location in New Town which was a ten minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley.

We felt special and relaxed staying in this lovely place.

The location was excellent. Our host was very attentive by text. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen that had a full sized refrigerator and basic cooking facilities. Decor was gorgeous.

The pillows were a little firmer than we were used to.

An amazing family get together in the perfect place

The photographs don’t do this beautiful apartment justice. So much attention to detail, beautifully furnished , a really luxurious treat. Fiona has thought of everything. Perfect location too, very central in easy walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh and close to Stockbridge which was lovely to visit on the Sunday morning.

Quiet Luxury, the nicest home from home you could find

Loved the House and its location were probably the highlights. Our host, Fiona, couldn't have been helpful enough throughout out stay, especially with the 'welcome' pack of goodies. Everything is within 10 minutes walk.

Honestly we loved every minute and couldn't find anything that we did not like or would change
