The mountains (a very rare find for in-town properties) present rare views from the gourmet kitchen and large bay dining area. Ample acreage plus neighboring pasture land add to your sense of privacy, space, serenity and mother nature.

Overall, good. Beautiful home, outstanding kitchen. Home was very clean and nice when we arrived. Nice patio, grilled steaks one night. Home is a little dated, not one USB outlet in the house. No AC in the house, fans and ceiling fans. Nice big windows to open in the morning and night, beautiful mornings. In the mornings, highs were in the 50s, great to have windows open. The master is upstairs so it would get little warm. Spend some money get better toilet paper. What they had was industrial sandpaper. Not kidding, not exaggerating! Went to Albertsons bought some Charmin. Owner has very minimal Dish TV .package, NO Fox News only MSDNC! No ESPN, No Golf channel. We enjoyed going to Taos Ski Village, Red River and Angel Fire. Beautiful hiking. Red River did a horseback ride up to this resturant that was on the mountain. Check out Red River Stables. Enjoyed walking, shopping Taos square, little hole in the wall restaurant LaCueva. Also Michael's Kitchen great breakfast. Unless you like kale & cauliflower rice, take a pass on a restaurant, Medley.

The pictures don’t do this property justice. It is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. I have never stayed anywhere with a dream kitchen like this that was stocked this well. The location feels private while also being only a short drive to grocery stores and dining. Rafting and the Taos ski mountain were only about 30 min. away. This is the kind of place you want to tell everyone you know about, but also keep to yourself so you’re able to book it again.
And, on top of that, communication with the owner was easy and always with a quick response to any questions.

Great spot to relax and connect with family. My dog loved the sunny spots on the floor by the window, dog library in the backyard, and being included in the family vacation. My kids enjoyed the gazebo and having space to stretch out. My spouse and I enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and cooking on the wolf range and sitting around the tables, inside and outside, and enjoying food and scenery. The hot tub was great. The property manager could not have been more helpful or quick to respond to any requests. I’d highly recommend this place!

This was the most beautiful home I've ever stayed at on this site. The pictures don't do it justice. The property manager was very helpful and the check in process was easy. The grounds are relaxing and we had plenty of room to rest and relax with a group of 8, including adults, teens and kids.

Gorgeous rural home that is decorated with beautiful Taos art and indigenous cultures theme.
Our family member’s painting was part of the extensive art work hung throughout the home, which was a wonderful surprise for us all ( including family member-Brian).
The home location felt private even though in a neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cookware for our family gathering to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday.
The outdoor Gazebo and grounds were lovely. The early Spring cooler temperatures did not allow us to sit out on the multiple porches, but we imagined them to be fabulous during the warmer months.
We hope to return!

Spend 4 out of 6 days dealing with the property. Upon arrival (sun), received a text from our friends to buy bug spray before we got to property. It had been nice so we assumed someone left the windows open (more about that later). First night took a shower and upstairs shower was clogged. We removed the drain cover and it was completely disgusting! (We have photos). We had to clean the in order to utilize the shower. Notified caretaker. Spent a lot of time killing flies. Tuesday friends say their shower no cold water/faucet not working, notified caretaker. We had to wait for the Plumber arrive next day. didn't fix, just got it so not scalding. Thursday we were infested with flies (no we did not have doors or windows open), They were in our hair, in our bed, HUNDREDS of them, not a few! We have photos. We were told "yes we know its a problem" (well then why was it not taken care of before we came? We know the property was vacant before our arrival). You had to wear shoes the entire time (even to the shower - after of course you cleaned the dead flies out of the shower). It was sickening! Again we notified the all this not once were we offered and refund (caretaker was in communication with the home owner). It completely wrecked our vacation. Stay away from this property! Its a huge rip-off. On top of all the above, everything is warn down, while beds were comfortable, pillows were a million years old, bedding old and pilling....just not worth over $400 a night!

It was obviously designed by artists with colors and design touches that are amazing. We are a family of foodies and we just loved the kitchen. It’s huge, has a super cool old gas fired Wolf stove. Six burners, two ovens and, my favorite, a huge built in griddle. We spent most of our time in this wonderful space. Two big decks , a great hot tub and a patio just off the kitchen with an outdoor fireplace (I believe referred to as a Kiva) were all greatly appreciated additions. We had pre-dinner cocktails around the Kiva each evening, so fun! I happily rated this house at 5stars, but would rate it higher if I could.

We enjoyed our ski weekend getaway for 3 couples. Most of the group went skiing and some stayed back to relax. The house was beautiful and we felt cozy and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The location was also close enough to "downtown" Taos. The host was quick to respond to our questions. We would consider going back for a summer weekend!

The house was somewhat quirky but well put together. Some amenities such as a steam shower were awesome. One distracting issue were the number of flies...yes, the upstairs master suite. They buzzed around all day and night and would occasionally light on you at night, a startling wake-up Alfred Hitchcock style. We departed a night early because of that and informed the manager. All we heard back was another of the insect species...CRICKETS!

This house was perfect for our two family visit to Taos. Close to town but felt like country, beautiful outside space and fully equipped house made our stay one we will want to repeat. We have stayed at many VRBO Properties and this is one of the best. The decor is beautiful and comfortable for 4 adults and 4 teens. I personally was very impressed and grateful for how well the host stock the house. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and laundry. Great stay and host!

Going to be 100% here: the prof range is fun to cook on but there’s always a smell of propane in the house; I expected high end kitchen tools, etc. because the kitchen is touted in the description but that was disappointing-I brought my own knives & glad I did. We had to wash a lot of whatever we used because it was grimy. D/W wasn’t cleaning dishes so we had to clean out the gross part at the bottom. Everything was hodge-podge. Some things so old w/teflon coating from the 70’s-which no one should have around anymore. The “hospitality room”- the wine & Bev fridges were unplugged w/notes inside “UNPLUGGED”. Maybe they just have those in summer. The furniture in the living room is very uncomfortable-that was a bummer. There were 6 of us & no place to just comfortably hang out. We spent 90% of our time at the kitchen table. We had to clean the wood stove ourselves-gobs of paper someone had jammed in there prevented fires from burning. A mess. Hot tub-had to add water-gross stuff was all around the jets. The internet is pretty bad so be warned. It’s DSL & works in the kitchen area only. I have more but I think that’s enough. First trip to Taos. Chose this property because of the kitchen (Xmas cooking) & the Southwest look/feel. The Southwest look/feel is nailed! We had snow on the ground when we arrived. Due to COVID regulations in the state we still had a great time—relaxing, this house was perfect quite and great kitchen to cook in. The other couple the husband has back issues and is used to sleeping in a recliner which I didn’t know and this house does not have anything like that. We found ourselves hanging out in the kitchen, around the fire pit or outside on the patio cooking out with the fire going

We stayed with our two college aged daughters and their boyfriends....perfect place! This house is located on the outskirts of town, but not too far away from town. It is very quiet and peaceful at this location. There is a huge yard that everyone Enjoyed with a game of soccer! There is a field next door with cows/ baby cows and a very pretty horse. The kitchen is amazing, perfect for making a big breakfast with the griddle! Temperature was perfect in the house all day and night. We will definitely plan a return trip!
