I have also recently acquired my Dad's house on Blanchard Lake four miles from downtown Whitefish. It is quaint, small, rustic cabin. The house features two small bedrooms and a full bath in the 735 square foot home. Seasonally it has an additional guest house that can be added. Please check out Papa's Place at www.vrbo.com/1696404.
When planning your trip we highly recommend checking out the Glacier Park website. It has valuable information on trail and road openings/closings and conditions. The main road through the Park, Going-to-the-Sun, is usually open to Logan Pass by late June, early July.

You cannot beat the location and property was lovely. Loved that every possible kitchen need was covered. Mattresses were a bit hard. Host provided a lot of details about area, including restaurant recommendations. Great wifi reception.

This was a really nice place that was accurately described in the VRBO listing. The manager was easy to communicate with and we had a great time. Very clean! Will definitely stay here again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed this spacious cabin for our family vacation! Cortni had so many “extras” included in the cabin from kitchen items (paper plates, napkins, plastic utensils, ziplocks, etc.) to toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, floss, wipes, etc.) Very clean and cozy. We loved the location, so close to the park. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your beautiful place!

Our group of 6 absolutely loved this cabin! It was the perfect home away from home for exploring Glacier National Park and the surrounding area. The cabin had everything you could want, so many thoughtful touches and beautiful artwork and decor. The huge covered porch was amazing, we spent time everyday having coffee, watching the hummingbirds and mule deer that visited the yard. We used the firepit, had fun with the horseshoe set and cornhole game. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked. Communication with Cortni was fantastic. This is now our favorite VRBO rental, would return again and stay much longer! Highly recommend!

Cortni was wonderful to deal with, the house was perfectly located and very well appointed! Highly recommend !!!

We loved the location of this property, which is so close to the park gates for the Road to the Sun. House was well appointed with everything that we needed, even a shelter/lean-to on the side of the house to park our bikes to keep them dry from the rain.
4.0
The location was great and the house was very welcoming. It was furnished with everything you would need. The only suggestions I would make is to upgrade the cooking pans, some of the lights didn't work and the stove has some malfunctioning burners. The binoculars were broken someone wrapped the string around them to hold them together and put them in the back.
Overall stay was great!

This VRBO is large and beautiful and neat and clean as well as very well stocked and very well located just 2 miles from the West Glacier entrance to GNP! We needed 4 bedrooms and 4 baths! It has an added bonus to have an old upright piano for several piano playing family members. We were very pleased!

The entire experience was perfect, homeowner was quick to reply with questions I had, but most importantly she has created a "home away from home" for anyone staying here. The welcome book shared details on how the house came to be and details about the family mementos found in the house that made it feel warm and inviting, like home. Additionally, within 2 miles of West Glacier entrance - would HIGHLY recommend this rental for anyone visiting GNP!!

Cortni’s place was amazing! We had 8 adults and it was so comfortable. The porch was wonderful and the park was so close. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Would highly recommend her beautiful house.

The cabin was well stocked with essentials you might forget like sandwich bags and bear spray. There was also many activities that kept our kids entertained, like books, legos and balls to throw in the yard. The location to the park was also roughly as close as you get without staying in the park.

Great location. Only minutes from the park entrance. We all loved the house. It was perfect for our needs. Thanks!

The cabin is a wonderful home away from home in a great location. Courtni responds quickly to any communication.

Beautiful rustic home that complimented our outdoor themed vacation. We continued to see wildlife right in the yard which was beautifully landscaped. The host was super responsive and we couldn’t think of a thing that the home lacked. The location was very convenient to west glacier as well as exploring near by towns. We had a blast rafting one day with a company just down the street! Lastly the home was spotless which I always appreciate most! Highly recommend! Hope to be back 😊

Visited Glacier NP with 2 families. This is one of the best VRBO’s we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable space with yard games, books about the area and history, and comfortable beds. Ggenerous condiments and non-perishables in pantry/fridge made it easy to cook. Great location just minutes from the park entrance - and really kind, personable, thoughtful owners — our stay was delightful all around.

We loved this house! With a large group, there was plenty of room for everyone to have space. The yard is lovely. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need to cook for a crowd. It’s so close to GNP and easy to get to/from. Highly recommend this!

We could live here easily! Stocked, clean and great location. Owner was easily reached with any questions. Definitely would stay here again!

Location was perfect for us. Cabin was clean and had the comforts we wanted. Games for all and a beautiful place to come back to after playing all day in Glacier

A wonderful cabin with everything you could need and so close to the west entrance of Glacier National Park! The porch at King's Cabin is calling my name as I write this. Our group of six adults had plenty of room to sleep, gather, eat, hang out and generally be happy in this beautiful home and gorgeous piece of property. Easy to find too! We were delighted by daily visits from a mama deer and her two babies - so cute! The owner provided us with all the info we could possibly need to navigate the surrounding area, find good places to eat and grocery shop - lots activities info too. Everyone in our party agreed that we would stay at King's Cabin again and we hope to make that happen some day.

Our group of 7 seniors stayed at this property for 2 nights - Jul 16-18. It was a very enjoyable stay. The cabin was well suited for the group, had a homely feeling with well appointed amenities. The kitchen especially had all that you could ask for and more.
The owner and property manager, Cortni, was very cordial and friendly. She was easy to communicate with and responded promptly to any queries.
We would definitely stay there again.

House was spotless. Everything worked properly. The house setting was ideal. Close to Glacier National Park so in 2 minutes you were at the park.

We thouroughly enjoyed staying at this property. This was our 4th VRBO on a 2 week road trip. It was so nice to come into a clean and well stocked VRBO. We were able to relax immediately w out having to run out for stuff. We cooked several nights and enjoyed the wonderful front porch. I would highly recommend this property for families who want a great place to hang out and easy access to Glacier and White Fish.

King's cabin is great. Check in was a easy and the place is fantastic. We had a group of 8 and it was great to make food at the cabin and venture into the park from the convenient location. It was also nice to have a secluded feel but get gas and major groceries within 15 minutes. Great place!

The location to the West Entrance of Glacier NP is ideal and a half hour drive into Whitefish. Property was clean, well appointed with dishes, cooking supplies and paper goods. The decor/furniture is dated and the outdoor furniture is quite bad. It would have been nice to eat outside on something other than an old table a seat made from a log cut in half and resting on a piece of wood. Guests who stayed in the beds upstairs complained of back pain after several nights on the mattresses. Property was listed with WiFi and there was none.

We were comfortable in the home and had all that we needed. We enjoyed the firepit outside. Upon our departure, we were not pleased to have to drive the garbage 7 miles (14 miles RT) to the dump. The cleaning service that we pay for should do this service. The disturbing part is thinking that we were in a safe area. My friend and I went out into the street for a walk around 7:30p on Monday. A white van with signage saying "Bus Service" followed us. We went to a near by cabin where a family was outside and expressed our concern. One of them walked us home and as we neared our cabin, the neighbor walked back to his cabin. As we continued our walk, the van turned around and was facing us. We ran the rest of the way! The two men in the van were not up to anything good. Our lesson is to always keep vigilant of your surroundings.

We absolutely loved the property and the location. Perfect setting for relaxing indoors and out, and hitting all the sites!

Eight of us stayed in this beautiful home while attending a 3-day golf tournament at the West Glacier golf course. The home is large and roomy and we spent a lot of time in the evenings around the fire pit. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure was low in the kitchen but not the bathrooms or showers and there was enough hot water for all of our showers. The master shower was large with a double shower head and the tile/stone work is gorgeous. There's a light above the shower but we never figured out how to turn it on. Communication with the owner was fantastic. She responded immediately to our questions, even though the answers were in the description. Supplies were plentiful and we lacked for nothing. The surroundings are quiet and we enjoyed watching the deer graze and sleep nearby. Highly recommend Cortni and her beautiful home.

The house was perfect for our family. It was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen had every possible item needed to cook meals. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and the host was very responsive. The property was so close to the park and made it easy to access. I would highly recommend this property as the perfect place to stay. Thank you so much!

Perfect property for a family. Everything we needed was there. Clean, tons of cooking items, lots of cabinets, towels, cool decor. Love the history of the house also. Great communication with the owner and I asked a lot of questions!
We even took family photos for Christmas.
Highly recommend this one

Cute home, in a great location. Was perfect for our family with several kids.

We had an awesome stay at Cortni's VRBO. It was a great size for the 8 of us, plenty of space to relax, cook, eat, etc. The outdoor space was great as well. The home is SUPER close to West Glacier/Apgar which was so convenient. The home was stocked with everything we could need, check in/out was easy, and the book had all the information we needed. The ONLY downside was that the internet/wifi was so slow we couldn't get it to work sometimes on a computer (which was communicated in the listing) so we just used phones for a hot-spot when needed. Sprint/Tmobile and Verizon phones had great signal. If we ever come back to Glacier we would definitely stay here again!
5.0
We were a group of 4 couples and 1 child ranging from 9 to 65. We rented the main home and the mother-in-law suite (stairs case is behind a door that opens into the kitchen). There was plenty of space with clean, extremely well stocked kitchen, bathrooms and laundry.
Beds and furniture were comfortable. A/C is on the 2nd floor of the main house. There are box fans available for each bedroom. You probably won’t need A/C on the 2 lower floors anyway as all the windows are easy to open with excellent screens.
It was about 5 minutes to the West entrance of Glacier NP. The home is filled with beautiful family heirlooms and art.
There were two downsides: the WiFi is slow, but it is the fastest you can get in the area and so that is just something you have to accept. There is no TV on the main floor. My older parents were able to climb the stairs from the carpark to the home, but could not climb the stairs for the loft or basement.
We made the best of it, though, and I don’t want to detract from all the wonderful things this home offers. It’s just something to be aware of if those are of concern to you.
For groceries I would suggest Super1 Foods in Columbia Falls; prices were reasonable and they have a great selection. If you need something quick there is a market at West Glacier that has a good selection.
The entire group agreed we would stay here again!
5.0
We rented the property for a vacation with extended family. The location was excellent for West Glacier excursions. The house was very clean with a great floorplan, very well furnished. The kitchen had everything you could need. The outside area was perfect, a lawn the kids could play on, a fire pit, horseshoe pit, and lots of seating. They even had bear spray on hand!
