About this house rental
Newly renovated 2 bedroom one bathroom suite in our home. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a double bed. This suite can comfortably sleep 4 guest. Enjoy all the amenities of home.... relax on a modern leather sectional, 42 inch Flat screen TV with cable, electric fireplace with a heater, computer, free WIFI. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with the basics including a Saeco Vienna coffee maker to enjoy that perfect morning coffee. Relax in an outdoor seating area off your entrance with a propane bbq and fire pit . Everything you need for a perfect get away!
The suite is located 10 mins from the ferry and a quick 10 mins to the Airport. A beautiful beach within a 5-10 min walk down the street. You can easily walk to downtown Sidney in about 20 mins where you can enjoy shops , restaurants, cafes, movie theater and the ferry to the states.

Enjoyed our stay! Was clean, convenient and just what we needed to show our teens the best of Victoria. Nice to be out of the hustle n bustle of the city for sleeping! Dave was prompt and responsive with all communication with super easy instructions to gain access to the suite!

This cozy basement apartment is just minutes away from downtown. It is quiet, safe, and the perfect spot to come back to after exploring Sidney and surrounding areas.
This rental comes fully stocked with kitchen appliances and even had basic supplies like milk, eggs, butter and muffins so you can enjoy a quiet breakfast and espresso without having to leave!
Ample hot water, soft beds and a fireplace in the living room makes this the best find. Been here twice now and will definitely be staying on my next trip.

Great area in Sidney. Easily accessible. Fairly close to water and Sidney Pier amenities. Well stocked with extra personal care products and food items such as condiments, etc.
The first step into the suite was challenging and perhaps should have a small step build to aid shorter people or anyone whose mobility is limited.
Overall we would return another time. 😄 Thank you.

Great spot in a quiet neighbourhood. 2km to the downtown area, which if you can’t walk it has plenty of parking. The space was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The host started us off with fruit, eggs, cream and English muffins which was a nice surprise! We would definitely stay again.
One word of caution, the step down into the space is a big deep for short legs and bad backs so be careful!

The accommodations were good - clean and the space was welcoming. Some noise transfer from upstairs but not to the point of disturbing - I am sure we made just as much or more noise when the Oilers won game 5!! Dave provided a "starter kit" for breakfast which was very kind of him. We enjoyed our stay. Location was OK. You really need a car to get around Sidney from there.

The inside of the property was well maintained and had everything you could possibly need. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was further away from downtown than we expected but we certainly made the best of it. The patio area was very disappointing. The picture on the website made it look so much more attractive. We had a brief interaction with the owner as we left but otherwise it was quiet.

Sidney by the Sea was great. Breakfast ingredients were provided. The beds were comfortable, the host was friendly. There was also a great coffee machine, providing fresh ground coffee. Buchart Gardens is fairly close as is Victoria in general. We enjoyed our stay.

Check-in and check-out was easy. We loved the inside. It was very clean and had a nice layout of rooms. It was very spacious and the beds were comfy. We had everything we needed like towels, breakfast food like eggs and bread, cutlery, plates, cups, coffee. TV had cable and Netflix. It's near the airport and Patricia Bay highway so we had no problem coming in and out. It's close to the tourist attractions by car. Everything was within 30 minutes. It is a very nice home to stay in when visiting Victoria Island. :)

This home away from home was perfect. Location was excellent close to airport and ferries to mainland for son and daugher in law to visit from Vancouver. All amenities were there including enough food milk cream english muffins etc to get us started. Would book again in a minute.

This is our 2nd stay here but this time we had Grandma with us. Proximity to the airport and family made traveling with her far easier. The walkability of the neighborhood is awesome 10/10 would recommend.

Suite was as expected, however, to receive an excellent review, some renovation is due and some deeper cleaning is necessary. Lots of sound transfer between the upstairs and the suite. Very nice to arrive to enough groceries for the first breakfast and a fairly well-stocked cupboard.

Pretty Sidney
We stayed two weeks and had a lovely visit. We found the place very clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Loved the fireplace for taking the spring chill out of us after a long walk. Too bad the weather only let us sit out once; it’s a nice treat to have our own space though we did use the BBQ a couple of times!
Just under a 2km walk to the main street in Sidney so we walked it most days. It’s a nice small town with a nice waterfront walk and a few shops aimed for tourists to keep things interesting.
Our host was very friendly and accommodating. Just great!

Great host, great place
Dave is quick to reply to messages, and responsive to requests and needs. The suite is nicely decorated and fully stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the generous stocking of the fridge with essentials. The rental is close to the ferry and to Sidney. Next time we are in the Sidney area we'll be looking to stay here again.

We just had a lovely stay here. The pictures do not do it justice, it’s brighter than the pictures show. The unit is very well equipped with the odds and ends you need - we were impressed with what the unit had. We had a great stay and I would recommend this place to others!

We spent a few days checking out the area. This suite was a great location. Close enough to walk into town and also check out the close by waterfront parks etc.

Our disappointment turned to horror when the rat arrived. It left a mess everywhere including our clothes and bed. Although we asked politely for a cleaner to come, we had to do it ourselves while we waited for the traps to do their job. The owner above seemed very unconcerned when we asked for a mop and said the rats days were numbered. He later texted us to say he wanted a meeting because we were rude to ask for a cleaner. He didn’t show for the meeting but a day later we got a text asking us to come and pack right away as we were being evicted. We packed quickly under supervision who told us she was there because in the past others had trashed the place.The owner then posted a review of us saying we brought the rat with us. We found a lovely place quickly and moved on, we just don’t wish this experience on anyone else.

Extremely clean property, beautifully decorated, outside patio area that we used a lot. Fridge was fully stocked with bottled water and breakfast foods.( We were not expecting any food at all ) A large bowl of fresh fruit was also provided. Our only suggestion would be a 'Watch Your Step' sign on the entrance door, when entering the suite. There is a bit of a drop.
