About this house rental

Main road to the beach is scheduled to open June 2. Town is open. Use a map app and you will be directed around the road closure. Private detached guesthouse in the trees. Walk to tiny town, local restaurants, coffee shops, vintage shopping, library, and yoga. Very close to Hidden Treasures. Two bedrooms, one of which is accessible outside and upstairs, see photos. Plenty of seating areas and newly remodeled. Right off the main boulevard so it is easy to get to. In the cooler side of Topanga just 4 miles from the beach. Along the creek, open space and beautiful energy. A/C and heat. We no longer have livestock except for chickens. Right off the blvd, we do get some traffic noise.

Essentially... perfect. The instructions were precise and accurate, from how to drive in, to the codes, where to park, how the house functions, and -- most importantly -- how to Jacuuuuzzz. Communication was fast and clear from my first pre-booking questions until departure. Comfortable beds (and very nap-able couch), good water pressure, and plenty of places to do absolutely nothing in comfort. Walking distance to stores and restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful little cozy place,only one thing was that didn't realize the second bedroom was outside upstairs. Other than that we totally enjoyed our stay.

This is our fourth time staying on Jennifer’s property. We love the canyon, proximity to the beaches, Getty Art Museum, hiking trails, etc. We enjoy the nature setting of her homes.

The “sunrise ☀️“ home was perfect. The property is right off the main road and a very short walk from town; were we found a great full service community market, a few restaurants and other shops. We rented the home because we needed a relaxing place to retreat to before, during and after our eldest son’s wedding. Yes I said we chose this home to call our home away from home during my son’s wedding weekend. I knew that after the dress Rehearsal as well as the wedding night festivities that were to take place just .02 of a mile up the road at “The Inn at the Seventh Rey”, I would definitely need and enjoy a soak in that Hot Tub. The first night we were able to pick up fresh steaks at the butcher counter as well several other items from that locate market located just across and up a the road a block or so. So that 1st night of our stay we enjoy grilling on the outdoor gas range, talking and reminiscing with family while sitting around the open fire pit. As mentioned in the rental posting there are two very friendly and well behaved dogs on property that did quietly checked in on us from time to time. Both of the doggies listened and followed my gestures to sit, stay, lay down or head back to the main house which was also great. There are also some chicken in the adjacent yard but none of them ventured through the open side gate into our yard area. We did also get the opportunity to spot two small Guinea pigs out in the adjacent main homes yard free grazing on the fresh green grass. The property manager(Jennifer) / and owner were wonderful. Jennifer’s response time was quick, she thanking us for choosing her home to stay at during our time in Topanga and was willing to answer any questions we had. The home has a clean fresh cozy cottage feel to it, having two private bedrooms both with queen sized beds, the second bedroom is accessed via a outdoor staircase off the rear of the cottage. There also is a peaceful large outdoor sitting area off the downstairs bedroom accessible via the bedrooms sliding or from the front yard of the home. Would be a Great location to play some old fashioned board games or just relax with a good book. I had the opportunity to still and relax a bit there with a large fresh cup of coffee before helping my husband cook up a nice breakfast in the well stocked kitchen. If I ever get the opportunity to return to the Topaga area I would definitely rent this home again if it’s available as well as recommend you rent it.

My family left this home today after a three night stay on our vacation from Michigan. I wish I could give it 6 stars. We loved the peaceful location. It provided us with everything we needed. There is a grocery store within 5 minutes walking distance that met all of our needs and was fairly priced. We especially loved the animals and the daily visits from the cat and dogs who hung out with us often. The home is well taken care of and provides all of the necessary amenities for a modern stay but in a rustic, peaceful setting. The home is about 30 minutes to Santa Monica beach depending on traffic and only 30 miles to LA. We attended a Dodgers game and the distance was very manageable. Excellent hosts, wonderful home, and a great experience. If we are able to come to the area again we will definitely stay.

We ALL want to go back again! Our group consisted of my daughter and niece, and two kids, (my grandkids).We all loved everything about it. It was perfect and just what we wanted and needed.

My brothers stayed here whilst visiting, very clean they loved it. Great for the price! Loved the being close to the farm animals and the exclusive use of the hot tub. Liked that it was self-contained. The only thing was some traffic noise as it is close to the road, but otherwise, the location is great as you can walk to the stores and restaurant.

It was our first trip to California and we were mesmerized by the scenery and relaxing setting in the Canyon. The hot tub & quiet seating area to lounge was a plus. The lighting throughout the house was adorable & gave it personality. It was nicely furnished & included a great collection of movies & board games to enjoy. The animals beside the property were adorable & our kids loved seeing them on a daily basis. It was much more than what we had anticipated and we hope to be back next year.

We chose this property because of the animals and proximity to the beach. My children loved having all the animals so close and the dogs and cat visiting the house. The beds were comfortable, kitchen was very well equipped and no problems were encountered. Very relaxing and all of us want to return.

This place was a great vacation stay! We loved the hot tub, the hammock and the frogs at night. The lights at night were beautiful as well. Keep in mind, the second bedroom is outside and up some stairs so if you have nighttime trips to the bathroom this may be a factor in renting the place. But overall super cute and so cozy!

Wonderful stay for our LA trip. The location is perfect, a short walk to the tiny town of Topanga, and a not too far drive to many of the LA attractions. The little house had all the necessities and the property had farm animals, a hot tub and hammock.
