About this farm stay rental
This charming and spacious home that sleeps 26 guests on our 20+ acre wooded homestead has WONDERFUL VIEWS from every window. Hidden from town, yet only a mile stroll to shopping/restaurants and the heart of historic Old Town Warrenton. Charming outdoor seating available on Main Street.
Great home-away-from-home for church, special activity groups (homeschoolers, virtual learners, scrapbookers, quilters), corporate/business/church meetings (see "ONE NIGHT SPECIALS" below), wine tasters with 22 vineyards close by. (there is a unique trolley transportation available to rent here in town for more fun and available for your wine tours/birthdays/celebrations) church youth groups, bible study groups, special interest groups (homesteaders, book clubs), family reunions, bridal parties and out of town wedding guests. (keep reading on about small/large events at the Farmhouse)
This is a HOMESCHOOLERS paradise! Bring your binoculars, specimen jars and sketch books to the Farm to use as you hike "IN" and next to the river, identify trees/leaves and do rubbings or study the sheep, fox and turkeys that are all around the Farm. You can bring your mountain bikes (non-motorized) to ride on the trails through the forest. We have homeschool/virtual learning families that are renting the Farmhouse for several weeks together. So find like-minded families to share the cost and flee the Winter doldrums with the chldren at the Farmhouse.
Delightful amenities include a large outdoor private fenced-in pool, 1200 sq. ft. spacious media/meeting/PLAY ROOM with games galore, ping-pong, air hockey, foos ball & pool. I't's great fun for all ages, rain or shine.
Outdoor fun includes a fully stocked pond for fishing (poles available; bring your own worms!), firepit, volleyball, basketball, hiking on trails through the woods.
We have many trails along the river and our guests are raving about the "Riverwalk" - bring your old sneakers or water shoes for a great 1 mile hike up and down "IN" the river and through the woods; great for you to enjoy with your friends and family of all ages.

SMALL 4 HOUR EVENT- up to 40 total guests - $800.00
A small gathering is any gathering over the stated occupancy of 26 guests such as birthday parties, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, reunions, corporate meetings, etc. No more than 40 guests total permitted, which includes the 26 guests staying in the Farmhouse. If your event takes place outdoors, loud music must stop at 10:00 PM for the comfort of other guests on the Farm.
LARGE 6 HOUR EVENT - up to 60 total guests - $3000.00
This event fee includes use of the Event Overlook with seating for 60 guests, a gazebo,
use of the 10 picnic tables, extra trash removal, and additional guest parking. If your event takes place outdoors, loud music must stop at 10:00 PM for the comfort of other guests on the Farm. Sorry - no tents or port-a-johns are permitted. In case of inclement weather, the Farmhouse can accommodate 60 guests inside. We will send you an event agreement to review and sign.
SHOPPING - We are 45 minutes away from Potomac Mills Outlet Mall, one of the largest indoor shopping malls on the East coast. You will enjoy the one mile adventure of discovering new/unique stores and finding great prices too.
WINE TOURS - Friends of ours have a Trolley Transport Service (ciaobellacelebrations.com) and would be delighted to suggest some of the favorite vineyards (22 in our area) that you could visit to sample their great wines.
ABSOLUTELY NO BUSES allowed on the farm (no place to turn around). Our suggestion would be to drive to the end of our farm and then park at Giant Food Store where the bus can meet you. The store is about a 1/2 mile away and an easy walk or ride from the Farmhouse.
Our Caretakers live in a separate/secluded location on the farm for your convenience.
One night visits, or "extend your stay" may be possible at certain times of the year with an extra fee or 1/2 price. Please contact us to discuss it.

Our extended family of 18, ranging in age from 73 to 8 months, spent a long weekend. We enjoyed the pool, the hiking trail, and the ample space to chat and catch up. Wonderful place for family fun.

Wally and Pat were very accommodating for our big group. There was plenty of amenities to keep everyone engaged. We loved the pool, the large grassy field for games, the fire pit, and the game room. It is helpful to know that the 6 bedrooms are all upstairs. The futon room is on the main level. Also, there is an extra fridge in the garage and a large laundry room with lots of shelving that we used as a pantry. For being an older home, there was still plenty of space for dining and gathering. They also had lots of stacking chairs and fold up picnic tables. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Hidden Hollow Farm very much!

22 of us ranging from six to seventy-five had a great time at the property. The kids of all ages loved the pool and game room. Everyone had their own bed. Plenty of room in the kitchen and dining room for us to eat together. You feel like you are far out in the country with trees and meadows, but in fact can get to a grocery store in minutes. The owner lives nearby -- he welcomed us and then was instantly available when we had one very minor concern. Check in and check out could not have been easier. We all agreed it was just the right place for us to gather from across the country.

This farmhouse is huge and very well appointed. The photos on the listing are accurate. Plenty of beds. Common spaces are comfy, and the outdoor gazebo and pool area are very nice. Kitchen has all you need. The property is very quiet and private. Wifi is slow, but hopefully you don't have to do any work while you are enjoying the beautiful home!

This place was perfect for our family needs. We were all there a week before a Wedding and we had plenty of bed space and room to enjoy our stay and not be overcrowded. Our host was very helpful with any questions or concerns we may have had. Although it sits back off the road a bit, which we all enjoyed, it is very close to anything you are needing such as groceries, shopping, restaurants etc...We had a great week!

We--18 people--found the property perfect for our reunion--ample space to sleep, prep meals, eat and gather with a killer game room with multiple activities (pool and ping pong were favorites but foosball and board games also got attention). The details for comfort were amazing as was the country setting.

Pat and Wally’s farmhouse was such a perfect stay for our wedding party during our wedding weekend. The space is very large and one of the only places in the area that can accommodate such a large group of people. The game room was a huge success. Overall a great experience!

We had a blast with everything on the property! The game room was a real hit with the kids, the pond was a nice serene place to listen to nature, and the town was close enough for any additional things we needed without providing any unnecessary traffic noise. We paired it with a neighboring property since we had a slightly larger group, and the extra space gave every family unit the space they needed. We hope to have another gathering in a couple of years and this location will be at the top of the list!

Gorgeous property! It has everything, secluded feel yet close to everything, games for all ages, swimming pool and tons of space. The house was great for a large family. Wally greeted us when we arrived and let us know everything we needed to know. Amazing trip

The house is cozy and comfortable, the property is beautiful, pool is great especially for kids. The owner was very hospitable. It was the perfect house for family of 22 ranging in age from 82 to 5.

It was a fantastic property and Wally was so great. Unfortunately a large group had been in the week ahead of us and hadn't treated the property with as much respect as they should have. But the property managers were prompt at addressing concerns and overall very lovely. The kids loved chasing fireflies, swimming and catching small fish in the pond. It was a fantastic weekend.

The farmhouse provided a perfect spot for our group of 19 - plenty of comfortable sleeping area, spacious eating spots for everyone and a great kitchen for a group. The game room was really the star of the show and kept the kids occupied and happy despite cold weather while the adults sat comfortably around the fire. The surrounding property was also beautiful, we just want to come back during pool weather next time. Highly recommend!

With so many kids and grandkids coming to town all at once I was stressed on where they would all sleep and then I came across this wonderful home. You would think 20 people in any house would feel cramped but that wasn't the case! It was perfect! We will definitely be booking this home for many years to come!

We were a group of friends - 5 families, 10 adults and 11 kids. We had plenty of room for everyone, though one room listed as 2 singles is actually 2 bunks (4 beds total) just fyi. Kids loved the game room. We enjoyed using the fire pit, too. We appreciated trash bags, soaps, etc. that were provided. Downtown Warrenton is super cute!

I rented this property as part of my boys' 10th birthday celebration. It was perfect. This is a well loved property but offers all the amenities that made the weekend memorable for them. Bon fire, space to roam and play tag, a pool, and a well stocked game room. Some of the areas of the home are well worn, but overall the home was clean and offered us a place to relax, drink our coffee in the morning, and watch our children play in the sprawling lawns.

This was our first family vacation with so many of us (21 people total- 9 of which were kids). Plenty of space to move around in the house. We absolutely made the most of the amenities. The game room, the pool and the pond were big hits! Lots of great memories made for sure.

Even though the listing shows loads of photos, they do not reflect the size of the property. There were 20 of us, and we could 'hang out' together with the adults in their 'space', the teens together, the youngsters together. The games room is enormous, a large pool with perfectly clear water. Even though we went on some trips, the memorable part of the vacation was being together in this lovely house

Had a great week at Hidden Hollow Farm. Our large group had fun swimming in the pool, fishing in the pond and bird watching from the front porch. Plenty of space, seating and beds for all 17 of us. The large game room provided kids a place to hang out all week. Wally and Pat were great hosts!!

I had a hard time finding a place that would have the space and amenities needed for a reunion of college friends, plus spouses and a whole bunch of young kids. This place was an absolute bullseye. The location is perfect: secluded and quiet but also within 5 minutes drive to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The kids loved the pool and game room, plus the extra space to roam and play. This is a BIG property, and we needed all the space! It's definitely a little worn, but this was fine with us. (If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't the place.) The owners were responsive and helpful. We will we back!

Everyone had a fantastic time and there was so much to do.. I was amazed at how fast you all cleaned up after the storm. There were a lot of trees that needed to be cleared off the road. disappointed that the whirlpool tubs were notworking. The kids loved catching all the fish. We would definitely recommend your property to other people

This was our second stay in Wally's and Pat's wonderful property. The six grandchildren frolicked in the pool and when they dried off, loved the game room with its ping pong, pool, fuss ball, and air hockey tables, as well as any number of board and card games. It's a wonderful house and the hosts really care for the guests. This was apparent after the violent storm that hit the area June 23, blocking roads, damaging property, and causing loss of power. Wally was on the job from dawn to dusk, provided drinking water, and somehow with local help the roads were clear in a little over 24 hours. Wally is a gem
