Beautiful large house on half an acre right in town.
The main floor features a large kitchen with a table that seats 8, a dining room that seats 6 more. A family (TV) Room, living room with a gas fireplace and a large deck with some great views. Also a half bath and laundry room.
Upstairs there are Five bedrooms, two rooms have two beds and three more additional rooms with beds!

Basement is the best part, high 9 1/2 foot ceilings, features a bar, pool table, air hockey, foosball, sauna, workout room and a wood burning fireplace. Also glass sliding doors onto a back porch done with pavers.

Wide driveway will accommodate three vehicles.

This property was ideal to accommodate our large group of friends and children for a reunion of MTU classmates. The house is HUGE so no one felt crowed. The basement had lots of fun games to keep our teenage children occupied. Some of the furniture has definitely seen better days, but everything was very clean. It was easy walking distance to both downtown Hancock and Houghton. I would definitely request to stay again if staying in the area with a large group.

WhenI looked up the place it showed a sauna and a hot tub two shower baths fire place and the pictures of the place were deserving all the trim around the doors had chips or chunks out of them every time we turned the a/c on it blew a circuit breaker and hot tub was empty not usable. The two south bedrooms didn’t have a/c and the east bedroom a/c didn’t work. The owner text me a hour befor say do to a water leak we could only use the one shower in the master bed room with a big group that sucked. The basement smelt mildewy where the game room was. The place use to be awesome but is lacking upkeep and upgrades . In my mind I over paid I could have rented an almost new place for a few hundred more. We had a good trip outside the house but not so much in the hous I’m a little unhappy

Overall the house was decent. Very spacious and sprawling. There was no possible way we would have been able to fit sled trailers there, although told we could, 3 trucks didn’t even fit comfortably. Cleanliness could have been better. Bathrooms were “old dirt” dirty. Kitchen was pretty bad especially the fridge/ freezer. Biggest disappointment was no functioning hot tub. It had been broken over a year but still listed as an amenity. That said, we would possibly stay again- but not if planning a snowmobile trip, which was our plan until no snow showed up!

We had 19 family members up for the December graduation at MTU. The size of this home was all we could have hoped for. Parking made for a lot of shuffling of vehicles, but we knew that going in, so it was workable. The amount of kitchen equipment and tableware was absolutely astounding!!

Very spacious home for large family gathering. Well stocked kitchen allowed us all to enjoy holiday meals together. Bedroom were spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our time very much!

Family from near and far convened at this house for a few days to share meals and reconnect. The three large common areas and two dining tables made conversation and sharing meals easy. The downstairs pool table and games were a hit as well! Quiet neighborhood and plenty of parking made the spot ideal. Thanks!

This house continues to be an excellent place to stay with proximity to Houghton/Hancock and the Keewenaw. While the house is starting to show signs of maintenance needed, the space is amazing for our very large group that spans three generations and the host is very responsive and friendly. We will keep coming back!

Highly recommend for larger groups. We were in town for a family wedding and the property was just what we were looking for. Centrally located, plenty of places to sleep or play. Loved the pool table and games in the lower level. Kitchen stocked with everything you could need along with multiple tables to set for a large group. Owners were extremely easy to work with and allowed our small dogs. Will stay again.

Loved the space and the sauna was refreshing. We had an issue parking the 5 trucks and haulers but it was quickly resolved by property man get. Great time had by all in our group.

This property was perfect for our group of young adults. The location was great for skiing, dining, and visiting. The house allowed for after-ski activities for the young adults and my husband and I, as well. We would definitely stay here again.

It was our fourth time staying at this property with a large group of family friends. The house is ideally set up for kids to self-segregate to the basement and the adults can have calm and quiet upstairs. We love that there are so many bedrooms and the house is extremely convenient to so many local things to do. We plan to go back for sure!

We rented this house for our son's graduation from Michigan Tech. The house was plenty spacious for our group. The basement game room was a hit and where we spent most of the time. The upstairs bedrooms were nice as they are away from the noise. We were a little disappointed that the hot tub was still not working as it was winter. We didn't let that ruin our celebration of our graduate. The kitchen/dining room was very spacious. The large island made preparing & serving food very easy. If we find ourselves in the Houghton/Hancock area again, I will most certainly check this place again!! Check in and check out was a breeze and the communication was very quick. Thank you so much for this amazing experience.

Wonderful house near town that can accommodate large groups well, and the hosts were responsive and accommodating. It was very clean and was a great base camp for a large group of friends that came to visit the Keweenaw. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working during our stay, but the fix was being worked on.

Awesome space and having the downstairs was perfect for adult kids. Had EVERY dish or maker of any k iui and one needs. We loved the vinyl collection and the fire put outside. Lots of room for everyone. We had 13 people and were NEVER crowded. Wasn't the cleanest place in the world but was fine. (Though the 3 sisters DO sells commercial cleaning supplies for a living so our standard may be higher then most.) Also, no wash cloths to be had but we just ran to walmart for a big pack. Will definitely make this our staying place next time we come. Location was PERFECT! Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

This spacious house was in an idea location for exploring the Calumet & Houghton/Hancock area. There were plenty of bedrooms for our group of 9 with a large kitchen& deck. The lower level had plenty of games for downtime activities.

The house was very large and spacious for our group of 9 that were in town to play hockey and visit friends in the area. The owners were easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The parking was very limited though, and we were informed on check in day the hot tub was not working. The house was mostly clean, but we noticed dog hair throughout the house and cobwebs/spiders in the corners of the bathrooms.

We attended a wedding in Houghton and rented this beautiful home for 5 days. This home was perfect for our large group! One of the days it reached 100 degrees! The breaker ended up popping and I texted and got a response immediately. We had everything we could have asked for and then some! If we ever go back up to the UP I would definitely rent again!

Our whole family went up to Tech for the 100th Anniversary of MTU's Winter Carnival. We had a wonderful time, the home was well appointed with everything we needed. The check process and directions where easy and the host was easy to communicate with and made us feel at ease. With two boys in Houghton we will definitely be back!

Honestly we liked the size of the home and the location to the collage. The house was absolutely filthy, dog hair grease on the kitchen Appliances, dust and splatter on the fridge. The microwave had to be Cleaned prior to using it. One of the showers broke, they did get it fixed quickly.

House was good. Hot tub did not work and very difficult to get to on snowmobiles. could not regulate the heat upstairs was 80 in the bedroom farthest from the stairs and would not turn down had to leave windows open

This house is amazing with the large size and all the different rooms, games, cookware, dinning ware, TV's, sauna, hot tube, etc. We did no even begin to use them all. Location is quite, but a bit of a downhill walk to the town. Only slight negative is that it was not as clean as we keep our home or one would expect at a hotel. We would rent it again.
