About this house rental
House received a full update Spring 2023, brand new kitchen and bath. New furniture, including beds and sofa, which is now a sofa sleeper. Freshly painted, new floors, siding and stairs. Wall of windows facing the lake with a big welcoming deck. Special features throughout the house to make you feel comfy cozy.
Bedrooms are designed for winter and summer. The canoe bedroom features re-purposed wood and oars to make a headboard. This room is all about the lake, decor in red and white with a big comfy white down comforter on a brand new queen pillow top bed.
The second bedroom, features a brand new queen pillow top bed and is all about winter sports. Vintage skis as decor and a beautiful 1800's wardrobe for storing your luggage.
Living room has the original 1940's stone fireplace with a new insert with a queen size leather sofa.
Bathroom has stone shower with penny tiles with vintage wash stand and medicine cabinet. Brass sink will continue to give you the rustic feel you should have when staying at a cozy lakehouse.
Kitchen is brand new with honey stained cabinets and choice granite. Kitchen is stocked with dishwasher, stove with air fryer and all the essentials for cooking. There are also bar stools at the counter for more eating space and a dining area.
I have spent a lot of time and passion in making this house cozy so my renters can enjoy it, and so can I!
We added a fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs. Firewood is supplied, but suggest you bring fire starters to help it get going.
You have full access to the house and deck.
This is a private home across the street from a private lake with very few homes around it. You will feel like its your own oasis when you are staying here.
Pets:
We are a pet friendly property and take pride in having no hair or remnants left after a previous guest with a pet has stayed at the house.
If you wish to stay with your dog, the price is $75.00 per dog and includes doggy bed and bowls. (please brush the pup before arrival)
Dogs are allowed everywhere leashed except on the public beach, this is a health dept regulation, not my regulation. We take our dogs on the kayaks, which is awesome, also you can walk them everywhere and there is a near by dog park (around 2 miles away) as well as excellent restaurant choices that are pet friendly within a 15 mins drive.
Be sure to pay “per dog” pet fee, maid spends a great amount of time prepping for next guest.
Bring your own bedding if you want your dog to sleep with you.
Dogs on our bedding is prohibited.
Spring/Summer: Also available in the warmer month are 4 kayaks ($75 for entire stay). Property is .25 of an acre, but the deck is my sanctuary as it faces the lake! BBQ is a $25 rental charge, for cleaning more than gas, as it comes to you ready to grill. You have full rights to beach, beach tables, dock and lake for the entire stay. Playground on beach for children. There's a roped off swimming area at the beach with a floating dock. There is parking for 2 cars.

Fishing is great, if you have a license. Please keep fish smells outside though. Extra fee if it smells after checkout. (nothing personal but really?) lol

Just over the border in NY the cute town of Warwick offers many shops and dining experiences nestled in the famous black soil farmland. New to the area, and just a short car ride away is Legoland. Take in a Drive-in movie at the Warwick Drive in. (welcome packet shows lots of dining and places to go)

The host, Cat, literally thought of everything (and then some!) that a guest could want or need. Her welcome packet is the best in the business - thorough and welcoming! The sparkly lights in the kitchen were lovely, the deck was great for reading and lounging and I only wish we'd had time to cook a meal or two because the spice drawer alone made me feel like a chef!
You cannot go wrong if you select ChezLakeHouse for your stay!

We had a wonderful experience at the Chez lakhouse for a brief stay. We decided on a last minute trip and were Lucky to find Cat’s lake house. Check in was seamless, communication was fantastic. The home had everything we could need and more. The decor was my favorite part! and the View from the deck. It does have lots of neighbors around so not as secluded as we originally thought but all good!

The lake house is so cozy, the lake being right there is so relaxing, sitting on the deck and watching the sunrise and set is one of the best perks, and being able to enjoy nature without hearing busy streets or highways nearby is honestly one of the biggest draws to this area. Cat is also very communicative and accommodating, we appreciate this cozy haven that we get to rent and that Cat has created.

This house is comfortable and beautifully appointed. The kitchen is great and the location is ideal if you are looking for easy and relaxing. The lake is steps away and super private as is the house. Super for a peaceful getaway.

This is actually the second time we've stayed at this property- We liked it so much the first time that we wanted to come back (and probably will again soon too!)
The house is wonderful, just the right size for a couple or small group of adults. The neighborhood is quiet and serene. You have a wonderful view of the lake.
The hosts are great- exactly what you would want. Cat provided plenty of info about the rental itself and things to do in the nearby area. She was always responsive if anything came up.
There are a lot of options nearby - hiking, shops, activities, parks etc. We brought our dog with us and found there are quite a few amazing dog parks in the area too.
Side note, if you are like us and like to do some cooking while you on vacation - the kitchen is very stocked- All the utensils, pans/pots, serving dishes, even spices etc you could ever need. It was like having our home kitchen there with us, which made it feel even more cozy!

This property was perfect for our stay. We were in town for a dance competition and it was so nice to have this home to return to after a long day. The lake is also a bonus to be able to enjoy when sitting out on the porch in the evening. You can tell that a lot of care and attention to detail went into upgrading and decorating this property. Cat was lovely and a pleasure to communicate with. My only regret was that we didn’t have more time to spend there to enjoy the property during our stay! We will need to plan another trip to return :)

We had a great stay at Cat's lake cabin! It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy some down time. We had a bit of surprise snow our first morning there, and it was nice just to watch it coming down with the view of the lake. And the cabin had everything we needed - we were able to grill and cook some nice meals, relax by the fire, and catch up on some movies we've been meaning to watch.
Cat was super easy to communicate with for any questions that came up. Thanks again for everything - we'll be planning our return trip soon!

We all enjoyed the weekend. As parents many eateries and local bars available most locations were only 15 minutes away. My children had a time out to relax and toddler played at the beach

We had a great getaway weekend for my wife’s birthday and our anniversary. Chez was amazing and brought in flowers I ordered and even was gracious enough to decorate the cabin with some balloons for my wife. The cabin is very clean and cozy we felt right at home. You’re steps away from the beach and lake in a small community. We loved the location. The cabin is about 15-20 minutes from a lot of different farms, markets and restaurants. We loved the Warwick winery and will definitely be going back. We had no complaints and really enjoyed our stay.

Our last few vacations were great but very busy with lots to do & lots of driving. Although that was great we needed a vacation that was actually relaxing! This property was lovely, inviting and things to do or a view that would make you want to do nothing but enjoy it and the great deck looking out on the lake & beach just a 2 minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and Cat was very responsive, kind and easy to correspond with. Even our dog thought he was king of the castle by the time we left! Would definitely recommend :P

Hosts were so wonderful! Serene lakeside home with so many special ammendities and special touches. We have used VRBO before but have never stayed at a more perfect home. My sister's dog was welcomed and the doggie bowls and bed made her feel at home as well. Would love to return in the future!

From the moment we pulled up I knew this was going to be a relaxing extended weekend. The house was warm and cozy. My husband enjoyed the fireplace every night. Even though we didn’t have the best weather it was a nice quiet area with a beautiful view if the lake. Took a trip to the Warwick winery where they had live music. And took in a drive in movie in Warwick as well. Would definitely venture back.

The community is so quiet you can hear squirrels digging their acorns and geese landing on the water. The host was always available via texts, so, communication was a breeze. Loved this place!
My husband and I stayed here over Xmas break with our two sons, 6 & 4. The house was a perfect fit for us and we had the best time. It was so cozy, clean and I loved the lake house vibe. Cat was so easy to communicate with and very friendly also.
My kids loved walking down to the lake across the street. We did some skiing at Mt Peter, which was only about 25 min away in NY, went to Warwick for dinner and also went walking on the Appalachia boardwalk trail. It was only 5-10 min away! Great location.

A wonderful stay
This little house exceeded our expectations - it was a very charming and well-appointed cabin getaway. The location is very quiet and relaxed, family friendly but also well suited for a couple's getaway. The house is cozy and clean, and very comfortable. What stands out is how much careful attention to detail has been placed here, not just in decorative elements, but in accommodating and very well thought out touches. Pretty much everything you might need is in place - from wood for the fireplace, to being able to adjust the temperature from room to room, to the lighting, plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, pillows - all the details that make a home away from home experience. My one exception is that the grill could be updated, but it was workable. The walk by the lake and the view is lovely. A very helpful and responsive host - top notch!

This cabin has everything you need for a relaxing stay: coffee and filters, shampoo/ conditioner, wifi, comfortable beds and a beautiful lake view. The cabin is in a private lake community which is very quiet. Some great restaurants within 15 - 20 minutes' drive. Great choice for our family weekend. Such a nice place
This property has a great lake view. The kayaks at the lake and by the house are so convenient for a nice paddle around the lake. Just a quick walk to the beach and dockers the kids can play and fish. The house is cozy and clean. If you forgot to pack something its probably there since the house is so prepared for guests. Communication is great and checking and out super smooth! Love this house!
