This home is located at the very edge of city limits, close to UAA/APU, Alaska Native Medical Center (3.5 miles), Providence Hospital and JBER (4 miles) and midtown. It's a short walk to utilize the People Mover Bus system. This is a pet-free, smoke-free home. Enjoy the views with frequent wildlife sightings.

During the winter, access the extensive trails of the city for cross country skiing, mountain biking or walking, by walking out the back gate. In the summer, it's an enjoyable walk to appreciate and play in the North Fork of Campbell Creek, hike the Dome, Wolverine Peak, Near Point, Gas Line Trail, Anchorage Botanical Gardens and the Tank Trail(with JBER access). It's less than a 1/2 mile to be in Far North Bicentennial Park which is filled with a huge diversity of wildlife.

We loved our stay here! The rooms were very comfortable. There was plenty of space. The owners have a nice collection of spices in the kitchen to use while cooking and plenty of dishes. We loved the collections of Alaska books in the house; our party read many of them. I liked the fact there were kids games available (even though this time, we didn't have any kids with us). The owners were very easy to contact and very friendly. We didn't have any problems, but if we had, we've have been able to find them. Lovely neighborhood, we walked outside most evenings. Location was convenient to grocery stores -- just a couple miles away as well as a large wooded park. It was wonderful having a large family room to hang out in; much better than being in a hotel! Really nice place to stay as a homebase for an Alaskan vacation! I would definitely recommend the home!

This was a fantastic home for us to stay in. As we were getting ready for a wedding we had plenty of room for all. Even on the rainy day our bride and photographer took full advantage of great big windows and large living room. everyone was thrilled to be there.

Five of us had a great time staying at the property. The checkin process was keyless and simple. The property was clean with a lot of spaces. Owner stopped by to say hello. The property is located in a very good and quiet neighborhood, very close to the Far North Centennial Park. Easy access to places within Anchorage. The communication with the host/owner was great. The house was clean with all the amenities including everything we needed for a 1 year old. It could use some decor upstairs and although it says 3 bathrooms, there are only 2. Would definitely rent again.

Wonderful house and location for our multi generational gathering! Our toddler LOVED the play room and there was great space for all of us in the living room. Provided supplies, like the stair gate and booster seat, made travel with a little one very simple. Beautiful views out the windows and the trail right behind the house was incredible for daily access. Marti was very responsive to communication and the house was well equipped for any needs. Can't recommend it enough!

This house was great for my family especially with children. Kid friendly with the toy room, Xbox, and playground in the backyard. It also was very spacious and even sleeping space for everyone.

This was the 2nd time we stayed at Lost Anchor, our first stay was in 2022. Later in the year our daughter got engaged and was looking for a place to have a smallish wedding. The property at Lost Anchor was perfect. The owner Kevin went above and beyond to assist and make recommendations. He was available all 3 days we were there to make sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend staying here.

Roomy home perfect for families. There is a portable crib & high chair for babies, a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. Private bedrooms for 4 different couples (one room had an additional queen and twin bed also) and two couches that fold out also. My family has rented this home for a week in the Spring each of the past two years. The owners live next door and are very friendly and helpful. We loved our time there!

We rented this location because it could accommodate a large group and was close to the Alaska Club East where our tennis team was competing in a tournament. We loved it because of the set up and everything the property owners provided for fun (ping pong table, Xbox, spacious living room, etc.). With the twin size cots we were able to have girls in one room, boys in another, and the parents were able to have separate rooms downstairs. They also kept it well stocked with anything you could need. I noted they provided shaving cream and hair gel, which is certainly above and beyond. 5 star, will go back!

The house was beautiful and provided lots of amenities! There was plenty of room for everyone in our group of 3 couples (2 with children) and 2 singles. With the rain we made great use of the provided board games and garage space. The large living room lent itself to an in-person gaming tournament (platforms brought by guests). A great neighborhood although the rain kept us from utilizing the nearby park. I would suggest clarifying that there are really only two bathrooms, as that would make it easier to plan.

This home is perfect for a large group of friends or family with diverse ages. You have the outdoors and a park close by and then all the amenities of Anchorage just a few minutes drive. The hosts were great to work with and made our stay comfortable and welcoming. Thank you for making this trip so fun and memorable.

Perfect house for 8 adults and 2 children for a 10-day stay. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed! Property owners were friendly and helpful. Fabulous Alaskan experience!

We used this house as a base camp for backcountry and resort skiing in February. Overall, our experience was very good; there were lots of beds and plenty of space for everyone. The only small problem is that the kitchen wasn't quite as well equipped as we might have hoped, but, as mentioned, that was only a small problem. Overall, our stay was great!

We used this house as a base camp for backcountry and resort skiing in February. Overall, our experience was very good; there were lots of beds and plenty of space for everyone. The only small problem is that the kitchen wasn't quite as well equipped as we might have hoped, but, as mentioned, that was only a small problem. Overall, our stay was great!

Lovely winter vacation with young family
The home was close to all sorts of beautiful outdoor activities including a beautiful trail right out the back door! It was very cozy and functional inside with everything we needed for a great weeks stay. It was particularly helpful to us to have the crib, high chairs, and baby gate as we had young kids!

Clean, spacious, comfortable
The 4 bedroom space was perfect for our 4 families to have a nice quiet gathering. The kids enjoyed the games and outdoor space. There was everything we needed in the kitchen and extras were a bonus in the bathroom and laundry area. No contact check in/out was very easy. All in all it was a great stay.
