About this house rental
Windows and natural light and wood are the dominating features of the interior of this beautiful, family-friendly home. There are three bedrooms - two with queen-size beds and one with a full bed - and a full bathroom upstairs. On the main floor, there is a kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and plenty of cabinet space. There is a full bath with a coat closet and washer and dryer. The living space is open and includes two dining tables, a 32" flat screen tv with dvd player, two couches, two twin sleigh beds, and additional seating. There is a closed porch in the front of the house and a deck out front. The yard is 1/2 acre and offers plenty of grass for play. There is a gas/charcoal grill on the back porch and a fire pit outside to the side of the garage with a swinging seat. There is a two car garage with one side for parking and one side filled with seats for hanging out.

We had a lovely weekend. The house was as described with plenty of room for all. My only suggestion would be to offer guest wifi.

Pleasant stay. Stayed with another couple during Adirondack Canoe classic (90 miler). Totally clean, gigantic dinner table. Great HOT showers after paddling all day. 1/2 mile from Lake.

Great location for exploring the ADKs and cozy evenings
Stayed for a long weekend during Winter Break with the family (2 adults, 2 young children). The house had everything we needed to make our meals, and a *humongous* dining table. The other table was perfect for games and puzzles. Good night's sleep with the beds and pillows. We had a snow storm one day so we did not venture far, but there are plenty of family-friendly hiking opportunities close, and the Wild Center is about 1/2 away for when the snow cleared.
I was a little confused by some of the information on the listing (configure of beds in bedrooms; is there Internet service or not?) but not by anything that was very important. We could not figure out how to use the Nintendo Wii as a DVD player, but we made due since there is Internet service and streaming video worked fine (for our cozy nights).

Another great stay
Erik's house is better than described. Safe, clean and well appointed for anything Adirondacks. The home is roomy, comfortable, has wood out by the fireplace and 5 min walk to Long Lake. I just hiked my 46th Peak and could not have had a better place to rest my feet!

Very clean
House was very clean and linens were provided. Very glad they left instructions for the old perk coffee pot. Lots of fresh towels and enough hot water for many showers in the AM. The occasional traffic was a little loud at night, but we turned on fans to drown out the noise and it was not an issue.

The photos in the listing are exactly what it looks like in person. There is a big yard for the kids. Even with 3 straight days of rain, we still had fun. The kids played on the front porch and we played darts in the garage. Some reviews mentioned no curtains. There are blinds in all the windows upstairs so privacy was no concern. Another review mentioned a mildewy or damp smell in the garage. It's fine. Unless you're super-sensitive, this is a garage, near a big lake, with fun things to do like darts and foosball. The hardwood floors were beautiful. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were nice bonuses, too! It's in walking distance to the village of Long Lake. We can't wait to go back next summer!

Lovely stay
My family and I stayed at Eriks place for only one night but we absolutely loved it. The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, which was perfect for us because we had “taco night” and made pancakes the next day. I would’ve loved to stay longer if possible. Thank you Erik!

Great house for a base to see different parts of the Adk
The house was perfect for our needs for a long weekend of hiking in different areas surrounding Long Lake, as well as exploring different lakes around the area. It is also conveniently located just down the street from food and gas. We really enjoyed using the fire pit. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies, and at least the large beds that we used during our stay were perfectly comfortable.

Loved everything about our stay!
This house was everything it was listed to be and more! You honestly needed to bring nothing more than your clothes! If you needed something, it was there. The property manager responded quickly to messages that were sent. The house was clean and cozy. We will absolutely return to this property.

Cozy Adirondack Home
We stayed at this property while visiting Long Lake Camp for family weekend. It provided us everything we needed: a great kitchen; comfy, well-appointed bedrooms and bathrooms; proximity to town; and plenty of room to relax in. Communication with Erik was easy and prompt.

Bicknell's Thrush trip
The cottage fit own needs very well, it was well stocked with towels, linens, soap, and other necessities. The cottage was close to town, and we enjoyed nightly visits to the local tavern for dinner (and breakfast in the morning). We had no issues during our stay (except the grass was quite high from the recent rain and the black flies where quite bad outside). The owner was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions. Would recommend to anyone staying on the area.

Perfect stay!
I reserved this for some people who were doing some work on our home. They absolutely loved it! They said it was like coming home. They appreciated all the amenities and the comfortable beds. The laundry came in handy since it rained the whole day they were here. We will surely keep is place in mind for next time! Thank you for everything!

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient to many of the Adirondack's natural wonders.
Had a very good time while staying at this house in Long Lake. We had biking, hiking and canoeing gear with us so the garage space allowed us get the gear out of our cars without having to clutter up the house with it. We had plenty of room in the house, fully supplied kitchen, two baths and comfortable beds. No complaints. Very convenient to restaurants and various stores in Long Lake which is within easy walking distance.

Would definitely stay again
The house was clean and had everything you needed (pots, pans, spices, towels). Erik, the owner, is also very accommodating. We got to the house little later then planned and he was able to give us little extra time so we did not have to rush out the next day.

A very relaxing place after some strenuous hikes
We enjoyed being able to relax and spend time together after some strenuous hiking. The area is beautiful - probably more appealing to many in summery weather. The kitchen, bedrooms and baths were very convenient - like having a dishwasher as well! My family would like to come back for more good times together.
