The location is blocks from downtown making it easy to get there by foot. It also had a spectacular view of the waterfront

The property was more spacious than it appears in pictures. There is direct access to the rocky beach which was nice. The owners are very responsive to any questions and I appreciate that the "pet fee" is donated to the animal shelter. A very quiet and relaxing stay!

Clean comfortable rental in Ucluelet very close to town and hiking spots. Apartment is a bit old and dated and could use new appliances and a refresh but, it was still very spacious and comfortable and would gladly visit again.

We had a really lovely time at Anchors Inn, Marilyn was very welcoming and a great host. There was everything we needed and we absolutely loved the hot tub, which was perfect after all the walking we did (we walked many miles during our stay!) We found some great places to eat with no need to drive, and really enjoyed exploring the local area, particularly the Wild Pacific trail and the Pacific Rim trails. Very glad the road reopened a couple of days before our visit, we'd have been so sorry to have missed our stay.

Great waterfront views, very cozy, we had everything we needed. Could walk into town, restaurants & aquarium. Close to lots of trails. Owners were quick to respond when we had a question.

Good communication from Marilyn prior to our stay. Well equipped suite with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Real treat having our own hot tub on the deck where we watched bald eagles soar overhead and a hummingbird feeding from a flowering shrub.

We loved it, we were impressed by the wildlife in the surroundings, with bald eagles and sea lions that we could see from the living room, and it was at walking distance for our bear watching tour and for visiting the Aquarium. We liked the house very much, slept well very and comfortably, and got very good recommendations from our host.

Being down near the water was brilliant. Very handy for shopping, eating out, walks. Lighthouse loop was a favourite. Everything you need in the property. I would return here.

We had a restful holiday. The place is very quiet. You could see eagles and seals passing by. The hot tub was at a perfect temperature. We liked the experience!

Lovely basement suite overlooking Ucluelet's inner harbour. Home to Sealions basking in the sun, and eagles roosting up in the trees. If you love the sound and sights of nature this is the place for you! Marilyn and Lance are great hosts.

This spot is very comfortable and cosy with space for all the crazy gear you may have brought with you. It has a lovely view of the inlet. It has two rental cabins also on the property which I did not expect but did not take away from the experience. For a wet climate I expected a washing machine but I don't know why - I don't know if this is a standard or not. All in all it was a good place to land with a constant reminder of the ocean and walking distance to trails and grocery stores.....Now if those darn sea lions could just set their time clock back a few hours before they start calling out....

The suite was comfortable and well equipped. The hosts respected our privacy and were responsive to questions. The fireplace makes the suite nice and cozy. Bring sandals for your walk out to the hot tub.

A clean and well-appointed suite, close to amenities, with a comfy bed, warm gas fireplace, and sea lions nearby - a lovely home away from home for the weekend. Our hosts were friendly & very knowledgable. We loved being able to bring our dog.

This suite ticked lots of boxes for us. It was dog friendly, comfortable with most of what we needed (including continental breakfast supplies), it had a private hot tub to enjoy after walking the Wild Pacific Trail (easily accessed by walking from the suite) and we could easily walk to Ucluelet bakeries, breweries and shops.

This suite is a quiet, roomy, well-equipped, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced option for staying in Ucluelet. Looking out onto Ucluelet Harbor, you can hear (and sometimes see) eagles and sea lions, and the landscape is lovely. Marilyn is a responsive host who communicated clearly and was available if we had any questions or issues (though we didn't). We enjoyed the quiet, the privacy, and just having a home-away-from-home to rest, eat, sleep, and use as a base for exploring the Pacific Rim area. We will definitely choose this option next time we're in the area!

Quiet pet friendly place to enjoy beautiful ocean views!

Very nice and comfy place. Nice and roomy with everything we needed. The inlet view is amazing and the eagles scoring overhead is awesome to see.

This rental is a mixed bag, both very nice features and some challenging ones. My low rating is explained in detail below but I want to be fair and say the good with the bad. Pros: 1. Nice location in a beautiful area, pretty view of the water from a small but nice deck. 2. Family of bald eagles lives nearby and is fun to watch—it’s worth bringing your binoculars! 3. Well-located in Ukee, you can walk to bakery, grocery store and restaurants 4. Good shower pressure Cons: 1. Communication is less than ideal. We received arrival instructions about an hour before we arrived (and after the check-in time). They said that Marilyn would greet us and show us around so we did not have specific information about locating the unit (there are three on the property). When we arrived (5 min late), no one greeted us and after waiting for a bit to see if someone would greet us, we were finally able to figure out on our own which was our unit by opening a door and recalling the photos from the VRBO website. 2. Within the period that we could cancel at no charge, I requested to change our reservation from 8 days to 6 days. We were “allowed” to do this but were charged 25% more for the 6 nights (because we could not have the weekly rate), making the amount that we paid for 6 nights equal to the eight nights. In other words, we basically did not receive the refund even though it was within the “free cancelation” period. When I requested 7 nights instead (because the weekly rate would be less expensive than 6 nights) Marilyn said she “would never agree to it because at least gives us a 2 nighter that we may be able to fill.” So, they took our money for the two nights we “canceled” and then re-rented the place for those same 2 nights. Pretty sweet deal for them (double charging for two nights) and a rip-off for us. All within the period that we were supposed to be able to cancel for no charge. 3. Although most things worked okay, the toaster requires that you hold down the lever (it doesn’t stay down on its own) and the bedside table light switch is broken and doesn’t work. 4. Appliances and some the furniture are dated. It didn’t bother us but it was more dated than most VRBOs. 5. Place is mostly clean, except there were dirty dishes and pans put away in the cabinets and dust behind the heater.

A private hot tub, fully functional suite with a fireplace. We had nesting eagles in the nearest tree and mornings with a doe and her fawns stopping by. Gorgeous. Thanks to Marikyn and Lance. This place was perfect for our 6 days in town. We could walk to our whale watching and kayaking tours' starting points, the aquarium, and other stuff downtown. It's right on the water. Really enjoyed the hot tub after a day of adventuring!
