Summary:
This listing is for our Fantastic Penthouse with four bedrooms and three bathrooms in Haudimar Beach Apartments at Jobos Beach, Isabela. This Penthouse is a corner unit on the fourth floor. The apartment stands out from others because of its large rooftop terrace facing the swimming pool and the beach. It also has two smaller terraces facing East, where you can watch the sunset. Other excellent features include a Pool table and new bathroom cabinets.

The Space:
The apartment accommodates up to eight guests comfortably. The condominium has a basketball court and direct access to the beach. Enjoy a wonderful stay in our beloved Isabela, where the people are friendly, the beaches are crystal clear, and the food is exquisite. Families will be able to enjoy the beautiful nature of the northwest area of the Island. In the beach area, you will find the bicycle path where you ride a bicycle or rent an electric scooter and cruise along the different beaches. And also, nearby, there is horseback riding by the beach, snorkeling, scuba diving, surf lessons, and other fun activities under the sun. Also, in the next town, Aguadilla, you will find “Las Cascadas Water Park.” In San Sebastian, you will enjoy“Gozalandia Waterfalls.” For nighttime fun, there are multiple bars and restaurants. Surfers can find beaches with diverse levels of difficulty: Jobos, Middles, Secret Spot, Wilderness, and Surfers Beach, among others.

The Neighborhood:
The property is located in the North West part of Puerto Rico. This area have little traffic, it is quiet and safe. The residents of this area speak Spanish and most also speak English. There are restaurants and bars on a walking distance to property. For anything else we recommend a rental car. This is a small Island and it is easy to get around.

Getting Around:
There is no public transportation. Driving around is easy, all places of interest are marked on the GPS.

Other Things to Note:
DISCLOSURE

Beach life: Living on the Beach is a beautiful experience, different from the countryside or city. This property is on the Northwest Coast of the Island of Puerto Rico, where a constant breeze comes from the ocean to the land at speeds of 10-20 miles per hour. This wind contains a high concentration of salt and fine sand. As a result of these weather conditions, you can expect to find sticky surfaces, slippery floors, stained window glass, traces of moisture or salt in the fans or air conditioners, and any other slippery or moist surfaces. Traces of rust in appliances and other metal components are also typical. We clean this property after every check-out. On the day of a new check-in, we do a quick inspection and retouch surfaces if needed before guests arrive; however, it is impossible to maintain the areas spotless because of this weather. These conditions vary by the location of the property and by position within the apartment complex. If you book multiple apartments on the same property, you may experience different scenarios.

Local Beaches: Puerto Rico has a great diversity of beaches. Beaches on the North and East side of the Island are often wavy. The South and west coasts stay calm most of the year. The Beach in front of the Complex is unsuitable for swimming, but when the conditions are right, you may find a shallow pond between the reef and the shore. The nearest area with a sandy beach will be Jobos Beach, located 2/3 of a mile east of the Complex. You can walk right from your Apartment. At 1.5 miles to the west, you can find Shacks Beach. This Beach is great for snorkeling. Always be cautious when entering a body of water. Be aware of the swell conditions and stay away from the Beach if the waves are big. Within a 5-minute drive from the Apartment, there are two beach ponds with calm water: Montones’ and Teodoro. Another must-see Beach is Crash Boat Beach, which is 20 minutes away.

Note about bugs: Puerto Rico is a Tropical Island with a great diversity of bugs. We spray our apartments every month, but there is a high possibility that you will run into bugs on the property, especially during nighttime. Changes in the weather, like rain or temperature, can also make bugs enter the Apartment. Bug encounters may vary from one property to another, but it is unpredictable.

Note about wildlife: Puerto Rico has no dangerous species; however, you can run into Iguanas, rodents, stray dogs, or cats. If you run into wild or stray animals, do not pet them, or feed them. They may not be friendly.

Storm / Hurricane season: The official hurricane season in Puerto Rico is from June 1st to November 30th. We strongly suggest that all future guests get travel insurance, especially during hurricane season. We will not offer last-minute refunds due to storms or rain unless it is a big event that affects the Island’s utilities. We could make an exception if the power and water supply are interrupted for over 24 hours.

Cancellations due to issues with Airlines: We understand that flight cancellations or missed flights can occur during travel, which are often beyond your control. To ensure a smooth and stress-free experience, please note the following guidelines:
• Cancellation policies: We adhere to the cancellation policy outlined in our terms and conditions. It is important to review this policy before making a reservation, as it will specify the procedures and any applicable fees in the event of a cancellation.
• Travel insurance: We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance that provides coverage for unexpected cancellations, including airline issues. Travel insurance can help protect you from financial losses incurred due to flight disruptions, and it is advisable to explore various insurance options to find the coverage that suits your needs.
While we empathize with any inconvenience caused by flight-related issues, it is essential to be prepared and take proactive steps to mitigate potential risks. By familiarizing yourself with our cancellation policy and obtaining suitable travel insurance, you can minimize the impact of unforeseen circumstances.

Utilities (water and electricity) in Puerto Rico are reasonably stable; however, we can have some isolated interruptions during the year. We will consider offering a refund if the interruption lasts over 24 hours. A 25% discount will be applied to the nightly rate of each night spent without a utility. The discount will be prorated by the hours affected. We will not provide any refunds or discounts for internet-related issues.

Swimming Pool: Your rental does not guarantee the use of the Swimming Pool. The pool is often open during pool hours, but sometimes it needs extra care. If the pool is closed for maintenance or other reason, please be kind to the Condominium’s staff. You may ask them when it will reopen, and they’ll provide any available information. There will be no discount if you cannot use the pool during your stay.

The boardwalk in front of the Complex is no longer available. The Beach is accessible through the wood bridge in the center of what was the boardwalk. Currently, the tennis court is not in service.

All the units that we manage have different owners. We provide the units fully equipped. Items such as towels, pots, and pans, among others, must be returned to the Apartment to which it belongs. We will not likely receive our misplaced items back.

Please take good care of the property. We put lots of effort and money into providing an excellent experience for our guests. We understand the difference between normal wear and tear and property damage. Makeup stains or any other permanent stain are not considered normal wear and tear. We will charge the guests the replacement cost of damaged or missing goods such as towels, furniture, decoration, kitchenware, or any other lost or damaged component.

The cleaning fee does not include the following services:
• Trash disposal ($10.00 charge)
• Washing the dishes ($20.00 charge)
• BBQ Cleaning ($25 charge)

The property had everything we needed to enjoy our time in Isabela. It was a great location to access many different activities. The property is well kept and safe. Our family of give was happy woth thevspace and amenities. The kids enjoyed the pool, hammocks, and pool table. The adults enjoyed the amenities as well including a well stocked kitchen and balconies to relax. Very clean and well mantained.

Overall the location and facility was nice. Was very u happy about the fact we had no power to any of the outlets in the upstairs a bedroom. Notified property manager immediately on Saturday, but was told the maintenance man could not come until Monday, which was the day before. This caused an inconvenience because we had to plug everything into the bathroom outlet. On Monday they could not figure out the problem so they brought us an extension cord. Also the ants were so bad in the bathroom upstairs that they got into all of our items, everything was covered in ants. Property manager apologized for this and advised they have been spraying for the problem.

The property was very nice and clean, well appointed and comfortable. A couple of extra pillows and blankets would have been nice. The grounds were beautiful and very well cared for. I would have loved to enjoy some morning coffee in one of the loungers by the pool, but with the strict “no beverages” rule, this was not allowed. This was the only truly disappointing part of our stay.

Overall, I will give this rental a 3 star from 5 Stars, rental needs a bit of maintenance, the ceiling in the living room area is falling apart, the showers do not work correctly, can't turn on the hot water. Found some insects in the apartment the first night. Host should provide more pillows in the bedrooms. No umbrella or beach chairs offered even though rental is located on the beach. Just small details that the Host should look into. Overall, I would not stay again if I ever visit Isabela in the future.
