War alles okay!

Schöne Wohnung. Zentral gelegen

Everything as expected from listing, excellent host, good stay

Great amenities and the generous gift of a delicious loaf of bread and two pastries was much appreciated Apartment was cosy on a cold weekend shower pressure excellent, laundry facilities good kitchen well equipped bed v comfortable able to watch the Euros football on the tv! Easy to get to and super close to the Bryggen area and Floybanen terminal

only issue was the lurking local druggies in the small square between apartment and church but we knew to expect them and once the windows were closed we couldn’t really hear the shouting (we were there over a Fri and Sat nights) they really kept to themselves and didn’t hassle us at all

Great stay in beautiful,historical, friendly Bergen

Beautiful old street in the historic centre. Great location, close to transport, sights, ferry terminal, Floysbanen railway. Great contact with the host. Street flushed with water every morning, drug addicts pay no attention to tourists

The shower door and the button in the cistern should be repaired

Loved the apartment and location!

Location doesn’t get any better! Apartment was really well equipped and very comfortable. The street where the apartment is situated is actually safe and clean.

If you are worried about the bad reviews. Here’s my 2 cents regarding the “junkies” 1) What most people don’t know is that homeless people with hard drug addiction usually keep to themselves and mind their own business, which was the case during our stay, so no issues at all. 2) If you are sensitive to watching them avoid the street behind it (this is where most of them are) and literally just look the other way if you encounter them. There were days where the street was actually clear of them. So don’t let this unsettle you. The location, amenities, Thomas’ attentiveness make up for the potential 15 second encounter with the people on the street.

Staying in this drug addict / dealing centre made us aware that all is not good in Bergen.

The distance to the very most central city centre is very short, a couple of minutes walking.

However, the location is not great, because it is in the middle of the worst drug addict / homeless / drug dealer area in the city, which is really filthy. As an example, the flat has a small balcony which would be nice to use if it were not filthy and with view only to the filthy drug dealing / addict "centre". As it was a holiday with celebrations, it was OK that the noise from nearby bars made sleeping a challenge. The kitchen fan did not work, which limited food preparation.

Drug addicts surround the property. They are using and dealing drugs around the property. The host Thomas did not mention this at all in the posting. Also he refused to cancel the booking or provide any support.

Nice, centrally located accommodation !

Very central, one street back from the harbour area. Easy walking distance to most places worth visiting, or to the public transport, which is easy to use. Plenty of space and the kitchen was well equipped. The sound proofing on the windows was very effective.

The shower was too small for most people to use easily. No room to bend down at all. Another thing of concern was nothing to do with the property itself but vagrant-types of people hanging around in the street until very late in the night was intimidating if you came back late in the evening.

Emplacement central

C'était le dernier logement a un prix acceptable que nous avons pu louer à la dernière minute, notre réservation a été annulée par un hôtelier. Le logement est au coeur de la ville donc bien placé si l'on veut se déplacer dans la ville.

Les junkies, c'est surprenant quand on ne s'y attend pas et on les voit des 2 côtés de l'appartement donc nous n'avons pas osé ressortir plus tard dans la soirée. L'appartement n'était pas bien nettoyé et les draps laissé pour ma fille laissaient à désirer.

Relaxing!

The apartment was nice and clean and very well furnished. To top it all off, the location couldn't get any more central. Don't get disheartened by comments regarding junkies. They weren't a nuisance, and the location and quality of the apartment more than make up for it. In one minute (!) you're at the fishmarket, the Floyensbanen, and at Bryggen. Thomas was extremely helpful, I highly recommend his place to travellers seeking to discover Bergen.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - we've stayed in many apartments and this is best.

we self-catered. Keys were easy to collect, though it would have been reassuring to be told how to collect them earlier than the day before.

The only slight problem was that the bedroom curtains were not light-proof enough for the short Norwegian nights, which meant a few earlier than intended wake ups.

Perfectly sized pretty apartment 2 minute walk from Byggen

Excellent location right in the heart of Bergen with excellent bars, coffee shops and eating choices. Short walking distance to the byggen and Floybanen. Very comfy bed with gorgeous linen and pillows and host left fresh bread , juice and bakery from God Brød, my favourite Norwegian coffee house. Nespresso machine with plenty of coffee to choose from. A perfectly thoutful touch. Very clear entry instructions.

The immediate area is one frequented by drug addicts. While I was very worried about this at first as I was travelling alone, it was infact not a problem at all. They have a lot of support in the community who were often visible. I came back late at night and did not feel threatened at all. I will definitely use this apartment again without hesitation.

Exceptional

The owner left some bread and a fruit drink for us and it was a thoughtful touch. Good heating and nice hot water for shower. Good kitchen and lovely coffee

Quite a complicated collection for key and the light at stairway was off. Luckily had the iPhone lights. Had to carry up bags to the small landing which is ok for agile bodied people. The people in the pub were very noisy but that could be handled with the ear plugs provided

Pleasant

Apartment was in a great proximity to all the sight seeing areas of Bergen. Light rail from airport drops you off to within 5 min walk & railway station approx 10 minute walk. It was quite comfortable and lots of restaurants near by.

The noise from the street below carries all the way up through the bedroom windows. They need to be double glazed. Bar across the road stays open to early hours of the morning so sleep is very difficult. Lots of homeless people hang around near the entrance which made it a bit uncomfortable when coming & going. Needs a toaster.
