Great location in the heart of the old city Chania! Lots of things to do and see. Great restaurants immediately outside your door!

Nikos was an amazing host that met us and immediately helped us find parking which is tricky. The place was in a perfect location and surprisingly quiet despite the busy streets below. The apartment was super clean, modern and spacious for our family of five. I highly recommend!

The location is easy to all kinds of places. The laundry is super helpful. The kitchenette is just right. Only downside is that the sleeping spaces are open to each other; so you have to be very quiet at night.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and in a perfect location with an excellent choice of reasonably priced restaurants close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would love to return as Crete is a beautiful island with a wonderful history and there are so many more places we would like to visit in Crete. We had a wonderful stay at Agora Suites. Centrally located - close to all attractions with restaurants at the doorstep - but at the same time beautifully quiet and peaceful once inside the property. Very good security, beautifully decorated and modern amenities. Our host was very helpful with fabulous communication and local knowledge. I thoroughly recommend Agora Suites!

I can’t say enough about the cleanliness, convenience and charm of Agora Suites. We loved staying there and were only sad we hadn’t planned a longer stay in Chania. Most impressive was Kostas, father of the host, who greeted us on arrival and went above and beyond to help us retrieve an item we left in the taxi. Thank you, Kostas, for introducing us to your lovely town. We would certainly come back for a longer stay!

We walked through the pedestrian-only neighborhood with cobbled streets and small, interesting shops, opened the door, climbed the marble steps, and walked into ... Architectural Digest! Truly one of the most beautiful -- and interesting -- spaces I've ever experienced. Everything worked well, excellent Internet connection, excellent TV package, great blinds, great linens, comfort and pleasure galore. Vangelis and Kostos were perfect hosts, attentive and generous but not intrusive. Most of all we relished the architecture, a fascinating lesson on how to articulate and unify a design of many levels with a subdued but warm color scheme, varied textures, and some witty touches. We could live there forever. Restaurant recommendation: To Maridaki, right around the corner at 33, Daskalogianni Str., Splantzia. Have the fish soup, you'll be happy.

Vagelis’ apartment has everything we needed for a 10 day stay...clean as can be, spacious and in the greatest location. Minutes to port, on a street that has some of the best restaurants, no loud nightclub near so quiet for sleeping.. love the balcony overlooking the Old Market-great place to sit and enjoy a coffee or wine. Vagelis father checked us in and even drove us to get our luggage out of rental car, then drove us around to point out some great restaurants. Just lovely. Thanks for renting to us!

Wir waren im November in Chania. Diese schöne Wohnung war für uns der Ausgangspunkt für tolle Ausflüge und mit seiner Ausstattung und Lage perfekt.

I highly recommend Agora suites! Even though we got in after 11:30 PM, then Vangelis' father saved a parking spot for us, greeted us and told us things about the area and apt. Vangelis checked in on us almost every day to make sure we were having a good time. Everything great about the property except kitchen is tiny. Very hard to cook or make meal in but other than that perfect place!

Really enjoyed our stay at Agora Suites. Plenty of space and nice touches like robes and extra towels. The owner was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. The location couldn't have been better right in the heart of things; steps from all the sights. Vangelis was a superb owner. Responded to questions be email very quickly. Nice touches. We were very happy.

Wir waren im September 2016 für fast 3 Wochen in Chania. Neben dem super Wetter hat vor allem die wirklich sehr schöne und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit den sehr gastfreundlichen Vermietern dazu beigetragen. Ab dem ersten Tag konnten wir die einzigartige Atmosphäre von Chania genießen, mit Frühstück auf dem Balkon, wenigen Minuten bis zum venezianischen Hafen, und der Markthalle direkt vor der Türe. Abends kann man vor der Haustür in die Altstadgassen eintauchen, und die Vielzahl an kleinen Geschäften sowie der vielen wirklich schönen Tavernas lassen keine Wünsche offen. Man entdeckt auch nach 2 Wochen immer wieder etwas Neues. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, und können das Appartement wirklich empfehlen. Die Familie Protopodakis hat sich ausserdem sehr herzlich um uns gekümmert, so muß Urlaub sein! Nochmal vielen Dank, wir kommen wieder, Walter und Gloria :-)

We had some amazing days in June / July 2016 in this appartement. The "Agora Suites" is a modern appartement, stylish embedded in an traditional house in the centre of Chania. The appartement was clean, tidy and really very well equipped - everything is there. No need to care about. We were for some days 5 persons in the flat, evan then it was comfortable because of the 120 square meters! Directly in front of the entry we had some nice restaurants, you could reach everything quickly and by feet. The handover was smooth, the landlord was so gentle. The communication was perfect! We appriciated the stay so much! In case we will visit Chania again, we will definitely encounter "Agora Suites" again. All over we can abundantly recommend this location!

Vom ersten Moment bis zur letzten Sekunde war unser 1-wöchiger Aufenthalt ein wunderschönes Erlebnis. Das Haus mitten in der Altstadt von Chania bietet alles, was das Herz des Individualreisenden begehrt: eine geschmackvolle und moderne Wohlfühlatmoshäre, die Ausstattung - vor Allem in der Küche - ungewöhnlich umfangreich und durchdacht. Wer Griechenland kennt, weiß wie "gewöhnliche" griechische Küchen auf das Minimum reduziert sind. Hier hat der aufmerksame und sympathische Vermieter Vagelis mal gezeigt, dass es auch anders geht! Toll und großes Lob! Wir hatten Anfang April unglaubliches Glück mit dem Wetter und konnten bei strahlendem Sonnenschein den Frühling auf Kreta genießen. So haben wir morgens auf dem Balkon direkt gegenüber der Markthallen gefrühstückt, mit Blick auf das bunte Treiben dieser lebendigen Stadt. Beim Hinausgehen auf der anderen Seite Hauses tritt man in eine schöne Altstadtgasse und wir haben uns einfach nur dazugehörig gefühlt, da man sozusagen das "eigene" Heim verlässt. Innerhalb weniger Minuten ist man am venezianischen Hafen, das Schlendern durch die alten Gassen dieser wunderschönen Stadt ist auch nach 1 Woche nicht langweilig geworden. Ein durch und durch gelungener Kurzurlaub, wir können diese Unterkunft jedem anspruchsvollen, unabhängigen Griechenland-Liebhaber weiterempfehlend! Die Tavernen direkt vor der Haustür sind alle zu empfehlen, die Freundlichkeit und abendliche Stimmung sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Danke Vagelis, wir werden wiederkommen. Ute + Peter

“Agora Suites are a wonderful hidden gem in a bustling part of Chania. You can sit and relax on the balcony and watch the locals going about their everyday lives – in and out of the market, sharing a coffee or shopping for designer clothes! Come out of the front door in the morning and you will walk onto a cobbled, narrow street full of plants and crafts - come out and night and it feels like a different world! The atmosphere is amazing – tables set for dinner, music, chatting and smells of wonderful Cretan food will shock your senses –two worlds from one door! Agora Suites are faultless – clean, light, airy – detail is second to none. Location is perfect, beaches are easy to get to, the old town 2 minutes walk and you are surrounded by some of the best restaurants in the town. Vagelis, Agora’s young owner – is the most helpful person you will ever deal with – he made us feel like we were the most important visitors to his apartment and gave us valuable advice, ideas and help whenever we needed it both before and during our holiday. Thank you. We have already recommended Agora Suites to a number of friends and would love to return..”

The owner arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport, and when we arrived we found a lovely contemporary apartment located right in the middle of the most incredible historical area of Chania, which was central to everything in walking distance, including busses to take you in or out of town. The apartment was spotless and included some really nice organic shampoos and conditioners and soaps. We did have some problems with the WIFI not working, however, the owner quickly resolved the problem. This is a walk-up apartment for anyone in a wheelchair it would not be appropriate, however it wasn't too many stairs. Right out the door are the most incredible restaurants and across the street is the Central Chania market (Agora) whose vendors sell baking, fruits and vegetables, cheeses, honey, herbs, meats and souvenirs. There is a Saturday farmers market a few locks away that is a definite must see! Many farmers come from the mountains with their organic produce, and you would be amazed at the taste of their products. Our North American produce in the grocery store has no comparison. Their are very interesting shops all within walking distance that sell silk (operated by a family that actually produces the silk threads and uses the silk cocoons to make Jewellery). I could go on, as there are so many small cottage industries that bring wonderful products at such an amazing price. We ate out most of the time and in 2 weeks never has a meal that wasn't fabulous and what great prices! The apartment had a well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook. We had bad weather most of the time we were there as it is their winter season, however there were two really nice days, and we took advantage of walking along the Venetian Harbor which is minutes away and sitting in the second floor patio of the apartment overlooking the market across the street. You will not go wrong renting this apartment. The only thing that might be corrected is for a more comfortable mattress and a queen bed instead of a double. We recieved a beautiful parting gift from our host and when we arrived, there was a bottle of wine and some Raki(customary drink after dinner). We plan to return next year to the same place-we really had a great time!!

We stayed here for 2 days in November and it was amazing. The apartment is in a very happening neighborhood. There are a ton of restaurants and bars right below which were open till 2AM. Once you enter the apartment, you cannot hear any noise from the street. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and is very spacious. The balcony has a fantastic view of Agora. The owner was very accommodating of our timings and called us to make sure our stay was comfortable. Oh, and its in walking distance from the beautiful Port Venetian as well. Next time i go to Chania, i would not think of staying anywhere else.

we have fully enjoyed our 1 week stay at this astonishing modernly rebuilt Apartment - nothing ever seen in Greece bevor. the main room is about 6m high, the living room includes the double bed, the rd bed is on 1st floor in the open galary. the atmosphere is bright and light, kitchen is ok (maybe misses some cooking pots), bathroom very stylish - and most of all, the windows are technically perfectly sound proof (small bar in the opposite). the Location is in then most sympathetic area of Chania: away from the main Tourist area, but central and surrounded by small nice non-touristic restaurants & shops. we definetely consider going there again!
