Not up to expectations

We liked the location

Unfortunately, the entire group was disappointed with the complex & the apartment. Everything looks outdated and poorly maintained. Tiles are missing in the pool & visible rusted areas. The apartment needs renovation, some walls have holes & scratches, one bedside lamp was broken, I was scared to touch it as I could get electrocuted, soap dispensers were empty(at check-in) in both bathrooms, soap, shampoo, conditioner etc , ideally, should have been provided for 4 people (2 sets per bathroom)and not one set in each bathroom, the bathrooms lack ventilation, no bed heads, carpet looks 30 years old. Sorry guys, this is actually my first negative feedback about an accomodation, I think as property management you need to be aware so you can improve. This apartment just did not meet our expectations especially for over $500 a night. The entire group expected much more, this is 4 people’s feedback. Also, considering all the above, I would recommend you provide the guests with the disclosure document at the time of booking and not after the payment is done in full. There is high expectation from the guests for an apartment that requires a lot of maintenance. We travel a lot and for $500 a night, we usually get more quality than this time around.

Excellent location, dated and tired apartment.

The resort is located in an excellent location, close to shops and restaurants, and right on the beach. The three pools are generous in size and the resort itself is lovely.

The apartment is dated and tired. The couch and cushions could use a good clean, and the furniture in general is a little old. The dining room chairs were unstable. Tiles were cracked and loose in the main area, and the carpets are tired and old. There is very minimal cooking things to use, and for a place that holds 6, there was barely enough plates and cups to cover the 4 adults staying. The beds are also “fixed” into place, which makes staying with smaller children difficult. For a stay of 3 nights or more, I would also suggest more basics like dishwashing tablets and toilet paper. The staff were very pleasant and check in was easy enough.

Very good

Our apartment was very spacious for our family to stay in and had a lovely view of the pool area. The staff at Belle Escapes were amazing. They allowed us to check in early and were very prompt with providing extra bath towels as not enough had been left.

We loved our stay. The only minor complaint would be maybe some extra power points downstairs for charging phones, computers etc.

Lovely spot! Won't disappoint!

The room was excellent, very spacious and clean! There is a neat little kitchen with utensils and a good sized fridge. The view was lovely looking over the pools. The location is great with direct access to the beach and a nice walk to the shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

There are lots of stairs including in the room which wasn't a problem for us but may be helpful to know!

nice enough apartment facing the pool

There were 2 flights of steep stairs to the apartment, something I admittedly did not notice when I booked it. However, it was on the second floor , no lift !!! and really no offer was made to enquire if we needed assistance with luggage, which we did. A random kind young man saw us struggling and helped. The apartment was nice but I really wouldn't call it luxurious. It had the basic amenities inside that you would expect from any apartment in Palm Cove. More of an effort should be made by the booking agent to ensure that what is booked matches the visitors requirements. That being said, Belle Escapes was very helpful each time I did contact them.

Great apartment

Location. This apartment caters for 6 people comfortably. We had two teenagers that enjoyed having separate rooms each.

Not booking directly through the resort we didn’t have access to the gym.

We loved our stay and would definitely go back!

Lovely and spacious unit. Belle Property were very easy to deal with and very quick in responding to messages and issues.

Air con in main bedroom didn’t work correctly at all the whole time we were there. There needs to be at least one change of towels during a weeks stay. There also needs to be 2 tea towels and more rubbish bin bags left.

Great place for a family break. Central location to explore areas north of Cairns

Key collection was super easy in a lockbox at the apartment. location in Palm Cove was great. Right on the beach. Good spacious apartment for a family of five. balcony very safe for our toddler. Undercover parking was available at all times.

Internet was patchy downstairs in the living area because the wifi router is upstairs. While not a big problem for adults. Its the end of the world for teenagers. No lift but the stairs kept us fit.
