About this house rental
When you walk into the first door off PCH there is a courtyard so the entry into the house isn't right off of the street.
UPSTAIRS LEVEL:
The main/upper level consists of the kitchen, den, dining room, and bunk area with oversized bunk beds and TVs for each and a full bathroom.
DOWNSTAIRS LEVEL:
The primary and guest bedrooms are downstairs, both have queen beds. The primary bedroom has an en suite bathroom with tub and shower and a large walk-in closet. The primary bedroom also has doors that lead right out onto the lower deck for quick beach and jacuzzi access.
The guest bedroom has windows with shutters that look out to the lower deck/beach. (Please note the the guest bedroom does not have its own bathroom, so guests must either use the master bathroom or the upstairs bathroom.)

We also loved how we didn’t need a thing for the kitchen. Tara has thought of everything a family might want and need while on vacation and it’s there! We can’t wait to stay here again."

House is located on a wet/dry beach. What that means is during low tides, there is beach to walk and play on, and you can explore the tide pools right in front. During high tide and/or big surf, however, the water may come up to the house, which could limit your access to the beach. Also, during times of high surf, the beach can become temporarily rocky. The times for high and low tides vary every day but are predictable. We cannot guarantee the surf and beach conditions/access at anytime so please keep this in mind when booking and check the tide charts when planning your trip and your days while staying here. * If you bring a dog and it's high tide, dog can go to the bathroom out front along PCH or can use a disposable turf pad.

Our family wrapped up our Southern Cali vacation at this amazing beach house! It was everything and more that we dreamed of! We watched pools of dolphins swimming while lounging on our deck. Caught some waves (boogie boarding) using what the owners provided for our stay! Our family will forever remember this amazing home and the memories we made! We hope to be back again!

Beautiful house, very clean, there is a strong smell in the downstairs but it’s probably from being right on the water so there really isn’t much the property owner can do but something I would have liked to know prior to booking. During low tide you can definitely access the water, I wouldn’t recommend the space for young kids. Definitely enjoyed our stay

Family of six fit comfortably at the house, great mornings on the deck with coffee, kids lived on the beach and in the water. Quiet despite being directly on the PCH. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to questions. Simply put, a great spot for families.

We loved our way too short stay here! It was phenomenal the view of the LA skyline and all the way down the coast to Huntington and possibly San Diego without all the smog in the way. It was such a relaxing wonderful place. There is not driveway but parking along the home on a very busy street so pay attention to the gps and like us you might miss it a few times. We didn’t care because once we were inside it was just lovely and relaxing and so much fun for our kiddo. We loved the outdoor swing that was a bed. We went outside so much we are all sunburned. We walked the beach when we could and our neighbors built a sandcastle that was gone first high tide. The home does get water up to the stairs and there are times you can’t go on the beach (which is the problem with beach front homes what a problem to have!) but the times you can it’s magical. We fell asleep to the waves every night and the winds were wonderful. We saw seals and many many pelicans who fished all day and soared above the ocean house and beach line. We enjoyed cooking and the door dash and a nearby restaurant you could potentially walk to but we did not. We enjoyed having our kiddo in the well appointed bunk beds on a different floor than us. Only complaint is the shower has some chunks missing there in the tub so she showered in the downstairs bathroom. We utilized the outdoor shower for the beach times and sat out on the deck as much as we could. It was truly enjoyable, cozy & we can’t wait to come back.

The house is as advertised, directly on the beach and with a noise cancelling entry wall which works incredibly well since the house is on the PCH. We used the boogie boards (bring your own wetsuit!) and spent hours in the beach. We would then use the outdoor shower and spend the sunset hours in the hot tub. Great house and host!

My husband and I had an 11 night stay at this property and it was absolutely wonderful!!!! We took a much needed break from the Montana winter and enjoyed 11 amazing days on the beautiful California coastline. The home is very cute and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The location is idyllic and the weather, even in January, was perfect. Tara was very responsive when we had questions, and accommodated us with flexible check in and check out times. We hope to come back soon, as this is a very special place!

Cozy and clean cottage on beach. Loved the incredible views everyday sipping coffee watching the sunrise and the sunset. Can't imagine a better place to view it and the privacy of the beach just outside the backdoor is outstanding. Lovely to walk on the beach after high tide to search for sea creatures. Would highly recommend it! only draw back is parking and the traffic on the Pacific Coast Highway. Once your inside it's like you've entered a portal of peacefulness and tranquility!

With the Pacific Ocean lapping just below our living room and bedroom decks, we were in heaven and never wanted to leave. Our Malibu retreat was perfectly situated and outfitted with everything that made our stay joyful. Strolls on the beach, BBQ on the deck, jacuzzi at sunset overlooking the ocean. Dreamy. Tara was the perfect host! An A+ home and location and we can’t wait to return!!!

We had a really wonderful stay here over a long weekend. The place is incredibly well-kept and Tara was easy to contact and always right on time with our questions and needs. You never know what you’re gonna get these days and this was one of those occasions where it all worked out. Don’t think I’ve had a better experience on VRBO. Only complaint would be if you have light sleepers then that could be a problem as you can hear everything going on upstairs when you are in the downstairs bedrooms. We definitely tiptoed as to not wake up our son. Otherwise a great stay!

This house is so gorgeous! And being this close to the ocean was magical. Everything was spotlessly clean, and very well decorated. We loved the hot tub on the deck and just sitting outside and enjoying the view and sounds of the ocean crashing just beneath us. And there were easy steps down to the beach (accessible anytime except very high tide - the ocean can go right up to the side of the building!) We had our dog with us and she loved walking on the beach every day. It's a comfortable house with an incredible location!
