If tou need to get away and reset, hummingbird hill is the place to go. Tucked away off the beaten path, it is quiet and charming. House is spacious with an amazing wrap around porch, and bedrooms are nice. We originally had 10 adults and 4 kids on our trip, and after some last minute sickness, only 5 adults and 3 kids came, which was perfect. More than that and it would have been a bit cramped. The host was so gracious and left us a hummingbird feeder to take home, handmade keychains, and left coloring books, puzzles, and a ball for the kids to keep. He also left out blueberry muffin mixes, and had lot of little toiletries in case you forgot somwthing. Even left a bowl of dog treats in case youre traveling with a furry friend. Our stay was so nice, had great things to do with the kids (outaide swing, pool table, foosball table, large buckets of toys) and we all enjoyed the views. Traveling with smaller children might be difficult, there are lots of decorations which makes the house charming, but might be troublesomw for more curious younger children. Would definitely come again, and recommend to reset, unwind, and relax!

This home is ideal for multi-generations of family. There is plenty of room & activities for people of all ages. The hosts were very responsive to any questions, and man are they thoughtful!! There were so many special touches throughout the house that assured that we had a wonderful stay at the Hummingbird Hill Resort. We would highly recommend this property to friends & family. The only disappointment to our weekend was that didn't get to meet the neighbor dogs. *Wink* Thank you so much for sharing your resort with us.

if you enjoy a nice outdoor hot tub with 2 grills on the deck and nice views of the night skies and Hummingbirds, This IS the place to stay! Oh, don't forget about the mini foosball / pool table downstairs and ample play areas for young ones too. The big TV & AMPLE movie selection and internet access will not leave you wondering if there is anything to watch. PLENTY of knives and cookware too. The wall to wall carpet will keep your feet warm in the winter while the AC keeps you VERY COMFORTABLE even when it is over 90 degrees outside :) Jim has a great place here and I will be letting my Family and friends know to look this property up for their next get away. Close access to town ( about 20 miles) neighbors are not right next to you and the forest lands are very close on a VERY well maintained road to offer you lots of outdoor adventures to be had! We all had a great time. :)

Our stay here was great! We stayed here for our annual family get together. The cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed and then some. The check in instructions and notes everywhere answered any questions we may have had during our stay and the host was quick to respond for anything else. The hot tub was a hit and the wrap around double deck was beautiful. We all had a great time enjoying the view and watching the hummingbirds all day long. We enjoyed cooking family meals together in the well stocked kitchen. The extra folding mattresses were very comfortable and convenient. We will be back.

Our family rented this house to attend a wedding at the American Homestead property close by. The home is amazingly comfortable with an eclectic décor ranging from decades past! Call yourself from a landline with a Cory that reaches well into adjacent rooms. Enjoy the collection of art, toys, movie media that’s expansive beyon belief. A music and entertainment and game room adjacent to the great room provides countless hours of fun and enjoyment. The hot tub was used nightly and was effect for star gazing. We cooked home meals, bbq’d, enjoyed the extra treats left for us to enjoy. Countless hours of time was spent on the expansive wrap around decking with hummingbird feeders and all day visitors to them. Watch out in the front, there are two battling hummingbirds that do not care if you are sitting feet from them during inflight duels! It was hilarious! We took so many pictures of the home and it’s collection of treasures and whimsical notes. Someone surely loves this home and it’s well cared for. Everything you could possibly imagine needing is available besides your food and clothing. Great for a family get away. We will definitely be back! ❤️ Thank you for sharing this home with others. It’s truly a gem!

My husband, myself and my little chihuahua stayed 2 nights at the serene Hummingbird Hill Resort and I wished we could have stayed longer. The Pros of this wonderful property: Thoughtful notes and gifts that made us feel welcome. Sweet stories around the house made it fun and enchanting, had I been a kid and stayed here, I would never forget it. The home is surrounded by hummingbird feeders and there are visitors 24/7! I sat on the porch and watched them for hours! Other birds as well, one family has a nest tucked into the porch and was so delightful to see mama and daddy leaving for food and come back to hear the babies chirping away. The thoughtful amenities in the bathrooms was appreciated as well as the mints on the pillows. The extensive movie collection was fun to look through, as well as the fun musical instruments available. We only used 1 room, but the king size bed was perfect and comfy. The cons: I will say, it could have been cleaner upon arrival, things like dried food on the counters, dirty grill from the previous people and older amenities are worn and even if clean, appear dirty because of age and could use some updating ex: toilet seats, curtains, hot tub exterior, carpets. In no way are the cons deal breakers when it comes to this property, I simply cleaned a bit and made it feel comfy for us and had a wonderful time and I hope to return very soon! Overall, I felt like this home gave us a big hug the time we spent with it.

This listing is everything it claims to be!! We had the best time relaxing and enjoying all of the hummingbirds. Saw a group of elk in the neighbors field and enjoyed the amazing moon rise from the hot tub. I would recommend this beautiful home, but I don't want to have to fight for my weekend getaway!🙂
